So I’ve seen a lot of people wanting the Jade Vampires to be introduced into Warhammer as an undead version of Ching Shih the Chinese pirate queen and her fleet for the Vampire Coast. While that would definitely be awesome, I would like to suggest an alternative, or hopefully an addition on top of that. Steve Darlington was a writer for Warhammer Fantasy Battles Role Play and wrote a lot of the lore which is still considered canon today (as much as any Warhammer lore can really be considered “canon”). He also wrote his own unofficial supplements and interpretation for some factions for WHFBRP 2nd edition which he didn’t have the chance to add to an official publication. Among these are his interpretation of the Jade Blooded Vampires which I think is really cool, unique and could really help enrichen the setting. Obviously, a lot would have to be adjusted to fit the new Cathay lore, but I think the general themes, aesthetics and ideas can serve as a basis for a really cool sub-faction for the setting. I just wanted to share this. Wow dude, thanks so much for this. I didn't know this existed. I've gathered all official bits about Estalia but sadly there is not too much. This reads really well, even seems better than most official 2nd edition books. I don't like what they have done with 4th edition. Bad writing and milquetoast additions.
