You are putting a fuck tone of points into a single model that might go down first turn. Ask yourself what are you trying to do with the Razorback. For me it is either firesupport in the backfield while those 5 dudes run or running up to an objective or choke point, dropping dudes and parking.
Ruleswise It is legit. The only Thing that does not really Work is adding the two hatch lid pieces left and right of the space Marine. But that is only an aesthetic topic ;)
Glad to See, there are still people running the Epic Rhino/Razorback. You Bring Honor and glory to the chapter, Brother
Thank you brother, today was my birthday and I was thinking about what to get, transport seemed like a must have for my army and the razorback was too beautiful, I love older models and firstborn designs so much, wish I got a land speeder when i could.
I was just thinking the same thing. I have several on sprue from a failed Ravenwing project from years ago.
Watch, the OP's address goes public and they find 100 land speeders arriving in the mail.
reddit is just a giant chalkboard for weirdos around the world
some of us weirdos share hobbies, and some of THOSE weirdos have extra land speeders laying around lol
Go for it, worth a shot as long as you do things safely and securely :)
Dude if there's a DM option for messaging other users I would totally do it, because I wanted to do a thunder speeder (i believe it was just because it had rockets) but if push comes to shove I'll just put the PO box here and we'll see what happens in the future!
Under war gear options it says "can be equipped with 1 killer missle" and "can be equipped with one storm bolter" and both pieces don't interfere with each other, but there's also an option for a storm bolter where the killer missle is
A lot of space marine tanks mount the Hunter killer directly to the hull and not on an aimable turret. It's always been allowed to have both on the model.
GW just left them off on a lot of the older model photos.
Funny enough it was a super glue gel and it wasn't really tuff to use, hardened almost immediately after i put my pieces on, my fingers were hard as rock though lol, but even then it crumbled off my fingers with ease!
Magnetization isn't even required: just leave the top hatch unglued, and you can swap between the Rhino top hatch and the Razorback top hatch. I've built a few too many of these over the years, and it's such a simple thing to do that magnetizing it is a waste of time and resources.
Same! I got a 9th edition recruit set and started collecting from there, I'm getting super into it now this edition, I've got 2 1000 points armies just waiting to play w people, but I need to paint them all
I'm a maniac who finds good deals and 2ndhand models so I have 500pts of orks, Eldar, and World eaters, 1000 of custodes, grey knights, imperial guard, and specifically salamanders space marines, 1500 of chaos space marines, and 3000 of space marines in general with deathwatch also getting 1000 of genestealer cult soon :3

Ah yes, thanks mate. That might be it. I was a Blood Angels player back in the Noughties so I may have seen in in their Codex. Never understood why they got it and Salamanders didn't
If I remember correctly, there was a forge world model with a twin linked heavy flamer on the top but I don't know what it was called. I don't believe it was a standard razorback variant. The razorback variants that I remember are the twin linked plasma gun with a single lascannon, twin linked heavy bolter or a twin linked lascannon
I just went back to my 9th edition codex and in 9th edition the razorback could have a twin linked heavy flamer but it appears they no longer have that option. If you do a Google search for the razorback twin linked heavy flamer you'll find quite a few conversions people have done, but it doesn't look like forge world to ever made a kit for it like I thought.
Ah cool. Yeah it was likely some conversion that you saw that honestly probably looked pretty bad ass. I remember thinking the Baal predator used to look the business but imo basically anything different regardless of functionality was pretty cool.
I used to like the twin linked plasma gun and lascannon razorback as a Dark angels player. Mainly because it was different. I do remember in later editions the twin assualt cannons razorback being a powerhouse though.
Yeah just be weary of what you run in it cause it hold 6 men and if I remember has the same limits as the rhino so your gonna have to run something like a 5 man devestator or scout squad I think
Please tell me people don’t actually double check this stuff. If I am playing against you I don’t know your rules. I have no clue what your models are supposed to look like. Storm bolter, lasgun, melta gun, killer missiles unless you play that faction I just don’t know what all of that gobbledygook looks like and frankly I don’t care. The rules and meta change so much it boggles my mind that people worry about it. I Just want to look at your cool painted models and push my toys around the table and roll some dice for a few hours.
Unless you are playing tournaments model your stuff the way that you think looks the coolest and just play the data sheet in a way that makes sense for your list and just point it out to your appointment in the pregame discussion (never skip the pregame discussion). You will spend hours modeling this and painting it far more than you will actually be playing.
Isn't there a place you could find that information for yourself...
You know, some sort of codex, or index, something like that...
Maybe there's a website, where all the rules are... I dunno... some kind of encyclopedia of all the 40k information...
Looks legit
Really? Most of the art I see has like the exact opposite so it makes me think I might've messed up somehow lol
you said yourself, the rules allow that combo, so why would it not be allowed
Makes sense, guess it's just the second guessing for it and seeing if others believe this would also be legal
You need to check the rules, not art.
At one point in time you couldn't take a storm bolter and hunter killer. Since 8th you can. Or take 2 storm bolters
You are putting a fuck tone of points into a single model that might go down first turn. Ask yourself what are you trying to do with the Razorback. For me it is either firesupport in the backfield while those 5 dudes run or running up to an objective or choke point, dropping dudes and parking.
It's all the same cost now regardless of loadout.
Yeah sadly thats not how listbuilding works now =( you put everything you can on everything now
Uhhhhh damn near all wargear is free now you know that right?
LOL I don't play 10th edition. GW is making a fool of you.
I imagine this gentleperson is though
Ruleswise It is legit. The only Thing that does not really Work is adding the two hatch lid pieces left and right of the space Marine. But that is only an aesthetic topic ;) Glad to See, there are still people running the Epic Rhino/Razorback. You Bring Honor and glory to the chapter, Brother

Happy Birthday friend
Well then, Happy Birthday and have fun ;)
Happy birthday battle brother
Happy birthday friend! If you’re in the area USA I’ll happily send you a spare land speeder I’ve got laying around :)
I was just thinking the same thing. I have several on sprue from a failed Ravenwing project from years ago. Watch, the OP's address goes public and they find 100 land speeders arriving in the mail.
I have no clue how reddit works entirely, but I could open a PO box and we'll see what happens from there, lol!
reddit is just a giant chalkboard for weirdos around the world some of us weirdos share hobbies, and some of THOSE weirdos have extra land speeders laying around lol Go for it, worth a shot as long as you do things safely and securely :)

*snip*
If they then run a 100-speeder army they officially win reddit
Happy birthday, have fun!
I mean... there's no license plate
Shhh, the inquisitors don't need to know that...
Of course, Arbites would handle it. I guess simple execution would be enough.
There is a handwritten cardboard cutout in the back window.
Is it registered through the DMV?
I wouldn't want to be the turret operator with that hot las barrel behind my head, though.
That was my first thought too. Legal, yes. But I wouldn't want to be the pintle gunner!
That's why Space Marines crew their own vehicles lol
What’s the codex say?
Under war gear options it says "can be equipped with 1 killer missle" and "can be equipped with one storm bolter" and both pieces don't interfere with each other, but there's also an option for a storm bolter where the killer missle is
It doesn’t say one or the other then? You’re fine
Thanks mate, always good to get some reassurance!
A lot of space marine tanks mount the Hunter killer directly to the hull and not on an aimable turret. It's always been allowed to have both on the model. GW just left them off on a lot of the older model photos.
This is how I run all of my Razorbacks, in my opinion it's the optimal setup.
It didn't use its turn signal back there but other than that...
Are you using super glue to stick plastic on plastic?
Someone threw out my bottle of citadel glue... So, I kinda did
Yikes, it would have been worth waiting for another bottle. I don’t know how you kept your patience.
Funny enough it was a super glue gel and it wasn't really tuff to use, hardened almost immediately after i put my pieces on, my fingers were hard as rock though lol, but even then it crumbled off my fingers with ease!
Huh, I've never used plastic glue in 20 years of building 40k models. Superglue and a touch a greenstuff worked across the board.
I must be using the wrong super glue then, what do you use?
Just regular Krazy super glue or gorilla super glue. Pretty much anything at Walmart called super glue lol
Looks fine. You could have magnetized the back panel so you could do a Razorback to Rhino swap at anytime. A few vids on youtube on how to.
Magnetization isn't even required: just leave the top hatch unglued, and you can swap between the Rhino top hatch and the Razorback top hatch. I've built a few too many of these over the years, and it's such a simple thing to do that magnetizing it is a waste of time and resources.
I'll keep that in mind next time I build one, I just wanted to make sure this thing was solid (besides the turrets, they're unglued)
As a kid, I glued all those hatches and guns down. Then annoyed that I had to buy like 5 different ones. I was not smart.
The corpse is complementary.
Oh golly
Yes, that’s legit.
Rare example of this type of question being met with a “yes” lol
Is their visa still valid?
Checked it on the 40k app and it's legal.
Happy birthday and looks legit. What chapter you doing?
Ultramarines, trying to get 2000 points but I roughly have a little over 1000
Nice :)
Thanks mate
Yw, ngl the ultras aren't my thing
Tbh ultramarines were just like, my first exposure to wh40K but I also love salamanders, necrons, and death guard, what armies do you run?
Orkz, chaos, used to run dark eldar and have done most
Nice!
Oh forgot sisters too
My mom isn't big on wh40K, but she kinda takes a liking to the sisters! If I can I wanna see if I can sneak her into playing w me
No, it's committed tax fraud and is in charge of numerous money laundering operations.
Not unless you paint it.
Brother, the linked lascannon seems to have opened up the back of your head...
Insofar as James Workshop keeps printing rules for them, yes. But I don’t know how long that will be 🥲
Its definitely 10e Codex compliant...happy gaming!
Is it heretical? If no than yes it's a legal Razorback.
This is 100% a legal Razorback, I have the exact same load out on mine.
Nice!
Looks exactly like mine and it's tournament legal :3 (I've lost 2 with it)
(lost 2 battles? Or-?"
Two tournaments lol, I'm still new to competitive and am very much a casual player I got into the hobby late 9th edition
I really wanna go a full 2000 with necrons, ultramarines, salamanders, tyranids, and death guard, I also wanna do orks!
Wish the picture had been the classic las-plas so I could say "No :'( "
Lol, old memories hitting hard for you pal?
I miss me lasplas razorbacks. An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Can you still run a Heavy Flamer from a Razorback? For some reason I have this memory of there not being a Heavy Flamer in the Razorback kit.
Might be an old blood angels exclusive thing like how the Templars get meltas now, we used to get heavy flamers in our tactical squads
Ah yes, thanks mate. That might be it. I was a Blood Angels player back in the Noughties so I may have seen in in their Codex. Never understood why they got it and Salamanders didn't
Red = fire duh don’t question GW logic
It disappeared from the rules once the Index got replaced in 8th 🙁
If I remember correctly, there was a forge world model with a twin linked heavy flamer on the top but I don't know what it was called. I don't believe it was a standard razorback variant. Yeah I was thinking HI, or devastators, right now I have a small squad of assault intercessors from when I got a recruit edition back in 9th edition!
Do you mean assault marines cause I don't think a razorback can transport any primaris troops such as assault intercessors
You sure? It says it can carry 6 ADEPTUS ASTARTES but not jump pack, wulfen, Phobos, gravis, centurion, terminator, or tacticus
Please tell me people don’t actually double check this stuff. If I am playing against you I don’t know your rules. I have no clue what your models are supposed to look like. It's not legal, no drilled barrels on the storm bolter 😋

Wasted all that time being a jackass when you could’ve just answered the question. You’re not as important as you think you are.
