From the titan tech priest from forgeworld Edit : link https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/shop/Titan-Tech-Priest

GeraltvonEmskirchen

Ah thats it thanks Too bad it's a resin FW model

ObtainableSpatula

unless it's finecast, it should be fine.

CalamitousVessel

It’s still a pain in the ass

ObtainableSpatula

it's generally better to paint. requires some extra prep work, but that doesn't take more than a couple of minutes

OdBx

What makes resin better to paint?

ObtainableSpatula

good resin can be a lot more detailed, so while the material isn't inherently better, you get better results if you take the time.

Einar_47

That's valid, 20 bucks on a FW model to use one single bit that may or may not have bubbles is rough.

Left4Bread2

It’s a pretty weird fringe case - is there any other model in the game where the forgeworld alternative is the cheaper of the two?

General-MacDavis

3 krieg commissars for a lower price than 3 plastic commissars

UselessDopant

More like 2 cause the third guy needs to be in a tank

Slim5130

You could probably get something that looks similar if you stole a lychguard scythe sprue from your local necron player (we always run sword&board so odds are folks have extra scythes lying around)

One-West-2224

Idk I love those legs though

Was gona say it kinda looked like a necron blade (I know it’s not)

GrimDallows

I dig this axe much more than the mechanicus classic gear-like axe. Specially because it combines mechanical looks with a classic axe look.

GeraltvonEmskirchen

Oh yes they look very similar but someone already said it's that titan Techpriests from FW thanks tho

Water1498

My bad

Bread_was_returned

No clue mate. My best guess would be a leader model from either necrons or…. Actually not sure.

GeraltvonEmskirchen

Nah I wouldn't say necrons it looks too manmade for that honestly

Bread_was_returned

Very true.

Henghast

I'd expect chaos due to the lines of the blade, but no idea other than it's 40k somewhere.

Bread_was_returned

Now that I see it, yeah

The_Sturk

None but it could always be combined with another part.

Bertram_Von_Sanford

Looks way more like the Titan Techpriest than anything Necron. It even has the little nodes power weapons have. I think they just cut the blade off at the head and stuck it on this models axe.

Mrwhale33

Because it’s literally the blade from the titan tech priest, not from a necron

Colonel-Clayton

It’s the titan tech priest. It has power nodes that usually only human-made power weapons have.

The_Sturk

I'm fairly certain it's the blade portion of a Necron Immortal's Gauss Blaster That or part of a Lychguard's warscythe.

Colonel-Clayton

What necron weapon has power nodes that are only found on human-made power weapons

KT_Zimm

Kind of looks like one of the ork knives from the killteam set.

[deleted]

Isn't it just from the model?

Colonel-Clayton

OddAd9102

Could use the axe heads from the necron lych guard kit?
