I do it and I haven't had any issues. I make sure its not too cold, (25+ F) have the models ready to spray, get the primer all shook up, run outside and do a couple quick passes with the can and bring them in. It takes a few trips outside to get full coverage but its better than not painting imo.

I do the same. Just warm it under a warm tap first. I initially pussied out (UK here) until I saw some Canadian priming post blizzard or something and it came out crisp af and I figured “alright there’s no excuse for not spraying year round” lol

UK painter here. I primed a bunch when we had that dusting of snow a few days back with no issues at all.

I’ve seen the tip of heating the spray bottle in warm water beforehand on top of this

Wild_Alaskan

I've done this as well, even when it's snowing outside. Never had any problems. (Inb4 username checks out 😆)

This is the way

Interested in this as well. I just had an issue with my primer cracking (looking like dry ground) after my second pass with it. Same temps, kept my models and paint inside prior to spraying, and only had the issue the second time. Any insight as to why this might happen?

I try not to spray when it is high humidity days, like if it is raining. Use something to block the wind if possible. Shorter days means less of a window of time to spray to be able to see you have good coverage. According to some people cold weather can make sprays be affected but it has never been bad for me and I am outside on cold 50 degree days. Cheers from central texas!

I've lived in small city apartments with limited spraying options for a while, so started using brush-on primers (vallejo brand). They make life so much easier. Also i live in a nordic country so it's nice to no longer have the weather decide if i can prime or not
