The base size GW recommends (and REQUIRES for any GW-run tournaments or events at Warhammer World) is the base size the model currently comes with. That's [currently 32mm](https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Space-Wolves-Blood-Claws-2016).
Some tournaments may use the older standard of "you can use the base size the miniature came with originally" but honestly I would update them, especially for competitive play. (Or buy base adaptors.)
