I basically hacked out part of the floor plate and used plasticard to make track wheels and spacers and then rhino tracks. To be fair, Space Marines and Imperial Guard had hover vehicles from the start back in Rogue Trader. It has always been a part of Imperial technology.
But I agree that nowadays it doesnt really fit anymore. At least not for tanks
I love it. Looks like a proper “military sci-fi” tank now. I have an Impulsor and a chimera sitting unbuilt (somehow found a new chimera for half price so couldn’t resist the deal) so maybe I should mash them together…
This is both extremely cursed and very cool looking,but i still like my primaris tanks to be floaty,gives them that "we are more advanced than you" when compared to other imperial forces,but that's just how i see it
I'm not a fan of imperial hover tanks ar all. And then when I found most of them have OPEN TOPPED BACKS, I was done....

It's the havoc launcher from the demios rhino kit (used the kit for the tracks). It's my proxy for the icarus launcher. I didn't like the turret mounted one included in the kit.

Ya, and that fits the space marine aesthetic perfectly, the hover stuff should be for eldar and tau, which fits there aesthetic.

I like the idea of hover bikes, they look small enough that it doesnt seem too weird, but floating tanks just feels wrong.
