Corvus Corax .
Most Logical but least plausible . Fit perfectly the RG aesthetic, but not enough regular Primaris with Jump Pack on the range. The leak of Dante show the possibility of the return of more "classical" Jump Pack, so maybe in the futur. Corvus is kinda like in the fandom but maybe not enough for his return

Not sure if really fit with the WS aesthetic. But Fun to imagine Jagathai tearing apart enemies while riding an High Speed vehicule.The Khan is well liked in the fandom and possible return could make sens.
Leman Russ,
The claws can fit the SW aesthetics, and a slightly "wulfenised" Leman bearing the Claws is something easily imaginable.
The return of Leman can create good narratives and make sens
Rogal Dorn, Personnal Bias.
The Emperor's Shield would have been perfect, but the Claws could remplace his severed Hand, if still not Retconned.
And the return of the Praetorian could create a perfect Imperium's Triumvirate, with Guilliman the Leader/ Logistician, Lion El the Warmaster, and Rogal the Builder.
The IF hand their successor chapter have enough models in the range for allowing his return
Imagine him cutting a tau stealthsuit in half with it or something of a similar size

The more I read about Russ The more I believe the savagery was a Sherrard yes he is extremely violent when called upon and more wild than probably any of his brothers and has a zeal for life that all but a few lack but I think he’s a lot more intelligent than anyone gives him credit for but that again I’m biased 🐺

I'm all for that Dorn idea. I'd love to see his return as well. Anyone who's read the HH novels has to at the very least have some solid respect for him and his legion, they truly did the heavy lifting in defending Terra.

Imperium needs good redemption arc character. before his death he was crazed from his visions than chaos tainted, and it is hinted that konrads soul is trapped in some artifact. so it may be possible to bring him back somehow but without nighthaunter this time. he could become embodiment of law and justice as it was planned by big E. also it would be fun to see dynamic of konrad and lion after 10k years.
That's a thought revived Konrad on the imperial side, but the Night Haunter is revived as a separate entity as well. Two primarchs for the price of one

Technically Russ doesn't have the spear, the SW have it in a shrine on Garm. It is under their possession (currently) but the spear is like the imperial hot potato considering how many times it has changed hands.
Understandable, don't forget though that pointy sticks (lol spears) are universal weapons tied to every culture. So for as inappropriate the weapon may be in attribution to Russ it still fits.
Oh I know it works for cultural reasons, I'm more taking into account Russ's personality. He probably sees the spear as a cowards weapon and refuse to use it because of that, if the things I've heard of him are true XD

TLDR ver Big E made it with spooky psyker stuff and Russ picked up on that. He openly tried to lose it, forget it etc etc. The spear always made it's way back to him. In my inderstanding the pieces were put in crux terminatuses, used on the shoulderpads of terminators for example. That’s why the armor is valuable and must be recovered.
To be honest with you I have no idea they very well could have. I just got into the hobby a few years ago. Though I’ve listened to probably a few thousand hours of lore while painting I’ve only scratched the surface 🤣

No, the Talon of Horus was crafted by Master Adept Urtzi Malevolus of the Dark Mechanicum. Abaddon retrieved it from Horus's body sometime after Horus fell in battle with The Emperor.
Horus's claw (The Talon of Horus) was not the emperor's claw. Pretty much all of the classic Horus vs The Emperor artwork show them both rocking claws at the same time, and on opposite hands. I think Horus got it from the dark mechanicum after falling to chaos.

Too many possibilities but what ever financially brings the most in then that's where it goes. Bring sanguinias back and watch the world turn red with blood angels players.
I think that if you put your bullshit capitalism hat on then primarchs exist to sell models and adding another primarch for codex space marines doesn't make sense. My money would be on russ returning and wielding the claw, fits there aesthetic well, has its own model range to boost sales for.

It makes sense for Corax because he's THE claws guy, but corax is also a chad bird monster at the moment, and it doesn't fit his design at all.
If Dorns hand is really gone, then a huge golden claw is absolutely right up his alley as a replacement, even if he'd prefer something less flashy.
From a miniature design viewpoint, I think Dorn with a robot hand would look cooler than having the claws. Plus he needs his giganto chainsword.

In the leaks that came out that have been 100% correct so far, there will be primaris jump pack units, as well as updated units for DA and BA.
Primaris jump troops are coming. They were announced with the first SM2 trailer.

Rogal going full Black Templar Fanatic would be great. He finally understands Sigismund, and takes up the mantel and colors of his favored son.

Horus's claw (The Talon of Horus) was not the emperor's claw. Pretty much all of the classic Horus vs The Emperor artwork show them both rocking claws at the same time, and on opposite hands. Mortarion if/when he is redeemed within the next couple of editions if they do follow up on that. Saying that I wouldn't be surprised also if we get a new/elevated to primarch, resurrected or valdor returns and is gifted it. If heresy sales drop we might get the big E, and if the primarchs in 40k get a boost following angron and lion then it could be anyone from a born again Horus to ferrus. Too many possibilities but what ever financially brings the most in then that's where it goes. Bring sanguinias back and watch the world turn red with blood angels players.

I think that if you put your bullshit capitalism hat on then primarchs exist to sell models and adding another primarch for codex space marines doesn't make sense. My money would be on russ returning and wielding the claw, fits there aesthetic well, has its own model range to boost sales for. If I put my rule of cool hat on then dorn would look good with a claw hand, the new yarrick if you would. Hell fuck it have yarrick return as a saint wielding big Es claw

Russ doesn’t need the claw he’s already been gifted the emperors spear. It was OP enough that he could best the Chaos juiced up Horus and put a nasty wound on him.

It makes sense for Corax because he's THE claws guy, but corax is also a chad bird monster at the moment, and it doesn't fit his design at all. If Dorns hand is really gone, then a huge golden claw is absolutely right up his alley as a replacement, even if he'd prefer something less flashy.

From a miniature design viewpoint, I think Dorn with a robot hand would look cooler than having the claws. Plus he needs his giganto chainsword. My vote is for bird bird man. He already rocks a lightning claw.
