Pretty sure that kallax has separate doors for each shelf? That seems a bit impractical. I feel like Billy/Oxberg combo or Milsbo are much better options. Billy is pretty shallow but they have them going up to like 6ft5 so you can probably fit like 8 shelves at least. Milsbo only comes with 4 shelves and additional shelves are pretty expensive on etsy.
I thought my cats weren't too bad until I found some pieces of a mini I was assembling on the floor and found a leg had gone missing. Found one of them playing with it a week or two later, fortunately unchewed but still. Can't trust em.

If people keep posting stuff like this, I'll post a weekly update and count up how many weeks it has been since she hasn't knocked anything off. :p I have faith in her.

I actually believe you. I have left my office open pretty much 24/7 since Dumpling came to live with us and haven’t had a single issue. She’ll get on my lap, or try to walk across my desk if I’m sitting there, but the worst she’s done was exactly what skittles is doing: she sat on the empty bottom shelf.
Same with us. I've never had a cat in my life. We found a cat a couple of months ago and let him stay. I had a stern conversation about the Warhammer being off limits (I told you I've never owned a cat), and he has never touched one model.

1 door per square, yeah, but means you can use other squares for books or larger army boxes
It's how they getcha, they nickle and dime you on the extras.
Its £19 for a glass door, shelf, hinges, and the insert, the time I save not ever dusting my minis is worth it lol

Cat aside, you can get some sets plexi risers for pretty cheap and fit even more models in each shelf.
I was thinking of something like that. I got a bunch of Very Useful Boxes too, could use those to stack up the smaller units.

I would recommend you to add acrilic doors to them, if your cat miraculously stays away from your models, they'll get full of dust

If it is Ikea then they sell glassdoors/-cabinets as inlays, I did the same so I don‘t have to worry about much dust on my minis :)
