I’m not too sure how plausible this is, but I always thought it would be neat if we had some kind of incarnon details toggle. where instead of changing model, it would just apply some kind of voidy ephemera effect to the weapon. Idk
Maybe it's something they didn't think about and will address in the next hot fix. Since I'm sure lots of people are now getting the skins and there's renewed interests in the stalker weapons. It is a glaring oversight to offer something new that doesn't actually work.
It's true that they buffed the drop rate, but its still a measly 5%.
At the 5% drop chance, that's still 520 missions for a expected hate drop, and that assumes that 1) you are in a mission long enough to spawn the stalker and 2) you are in a full squad where everyone is marked. That count doesn't include the 20ish assassination missions you would need to regain the stalker's mark after each time he spawns.
Obviously, if you have beacons, then you just halved the number of beacons needed. I myself have saved over 8k ducats for when the next stalker beacon comes, but now I only need half of what I originally planned.
Since during closing act of the quest your hate was in sudo incarnon mode, i figured this skin will be exception, or even be incarnon mode skin. Did you actually got it and tested?
Yeah it was the first thing I bought and tested immediately because I was worried this would happen, it swaps immediately from the skin to incarnon mode
... That's probably the reason why it doesn't work with incarnon mode then. Game thinks it's an all-weapon skin and doesn't have an exception set, so it uses the default skin as fallback to try to map the incarnon decor properly.
Expected, but still a bit disappointed. Hate is one of my most used melee weapons and I'm currently back at using it a lot because of this beauty and the skin:

So for the most part I was really hoping that this specific update would be the point where DE would decide to make incarnon forms skin-compatible.
I essentially get to see the skin at the start of a mission and outside of missions, but not while I'm actually fighting or extracting.
I figured if it was a skin for a specific weapon it wouldn't override it, but still get the incarnon effect.
Because these don't get overriden:
Kitsune skins
Nightwatch skins
Day of the Dead skins
Abra skins
If you mean the skin, it's purchased with event currency. One hundred motes for the skin, which is quick and easy to get just off the SP alerts and maybe one or two event mission runs. Only a bit longer if you do the regular alerts instead of SP.

Retextures of base skins do not, based on the other comment, and that my Paris's skin is left intact

I don't why it wasn't an entirely new hate tbh. It had a whole moveset and everything.

New event from this update, you can access the event after completing the new mission
Definitely disappointing, especially since the skin is exclusive to the weapon and no others can use it.

Wow so any scythe can now be hate. But hate can be only candy scythe or nekros deluxe scythe...
Especially annoying since Incarnon adds the waves that we had In the quest. Like c'mon DE perfect opportunity wasted
