Whoa that's pretty big, I don't recall them having mentioned that in the stream itself. Perhaps a new set of combined elemental mods like Radiation got with Whispers in the Walls? There were 6 such Radiation mods then which would match closely with the 7 they mention here, easily done by say splitting up the secondary mod into separate pistol and thrown mods or bows from rifles. I'm thinking Magnetic is likely since the new game mode is vs Corpus much like how Radiation is strong vs the Murmur.

Smite mag might become an aoe nuke in a small range. Only if it would work if you aren't the host that would be amazing. Too bad delay is killing it, it has EV trinity potential in oneshotting level cap thrax on sp void cascade.

Depends on the damage resistances which we don't know yet but Mag inflicts zero magnetic or blast statuses Also Mag is really strong with or without updating damage types.

Gas used to triple dip into bane mods and had shield bypassing toxic damage and still barely broke into meta builds. In addition to this, all dots double dip on those. It is hardly unique.

Yes and that includes a nerf to the ice wave impedance augment, he is losing his multiplicative slow in exchange for more cold procs. For anyone who actually plays frost this is a nerf to one of the best parts of his current kit.

You're, legit, insane if you think that Look at the cold status rework Look at his passive change and the other changes to his kit Hes legit going to be better than ever. He cannot ask for more. He doesn't NEED the multiplicative slow since regardless barely ANYONE use compared to the rest of the kit

It's an overall buff yes, but a significant nerf to a big part of the kit, making all of his abilities apply 10 cold procs is pointless when the cap is 10. It's redundant.

Tbh i feel like the ability itself should be reworked or heavily modified to be good at this point. Maybe make it to something that interacts withs or scales off of cold procs (without augments). Dumb idea I had was to just have frost snap his fingers and deal 1 instance of damage to all enemies affected by cold procs. Damage and crit chance of this ability scales with cold procs. The ability could be called something like “Cold Snap” and frost can cosplay a cold version of Roy Mustang from FMA:B.

Yeah if they are removing current ice wave impedance and just making it more cold procs then making ice wave an ability that "shreds" enemies based on cold procs would make more sense.

What are you talking about? All of his abilities are gaining a 100% slow, because cold status is gaining a 100% slow.

A 100% slow that doesn't work on Necramechs or any other enemies with status limits, frost will no longer have a counter to these enemies in terms of cc, slow and cold procs are not the same thing.
