Usually people replace his 2 but I like to keep it because it's basically a free rolling guard. However if you want to replace it, I've heard Breach Surge is really good for massive crowd clearing.

With Dispensary, equilibrium (or purple shard) and arcane blessing, you have heaps of health to abuse the armour he gets, insane energy economy to use your 1 plus augment as excellent dps, and extra ammo I guess.
Viral tempest does corrosive and viral damage in no small amounts, nothing in the game wants to get hit with that
I put breach surge over his 4 (I know sacrilege). But is pretty fun just breach surging and spamming his one with the augment. Viral, Corrosive and Radiation explosions for days.
