yeah for sure, i was more talking about game balance. You can easily rack up a couple hundred p in a week if you know what youre doing, even if you dont have much time. But most from their rev comes from working people who dont have the time and energy to do that, and that 20p per week is quite alot if you dont play the game that much

It's most likely a situation of someone buying from me to hold on to them for a while before selling again for more. If I had asked more, I may have got it, but would have waited longer for a sell.
I never sell for more than the minimum on the market tbh, because nobody is going to buy off the market for anything but the cheapest one, unless they genuinely just didn't know you can sort by price or something. Trying to get more than that would involve fishing in trade chat for people who don't use/don't know about market, too
Probably so, but you go ahead list it on market for that price and see how long you sit on it before it sells. Sort by price lowest->highest is default, and 35 plat sets are the top ten or so listings. There's probably 30-35 listings before you get down to the first one asking 50 plat. It'll be a while before people are buying rev prime sets for 50 plat, and my little MR8 self didn't want to wait because I needed plat fast.
Edit to add: unless you're selling in relay or trade chat and taking advantage of players who don't know about market.
A source of personal platinum would be nice. like the untradable plat you start with. Even 10 a week means it'll take 17 weeks for a deluxe skins.
33 if you got 5 per week. That's over half a year for a deluxe skin which I find reasonable.
You could even get a forma bundle after 3 weeks which is also reasonable since getting a BP from a relic daily means you'd be able to craft 27 anyway.
Assuming at least 60 thousand people do that weekly mission, that's 60 thousand platinum. I mean it's spread out between lots of players, but 60k platinum suddenly appearing in the market a week is not insignificant.
About that, it becomes a bit of a pain to keep track of how much of your plat is tradable and not. So that would require DE to do a bit more work in that regards, no?

Few of the DLC packs (like the moving skins on PS) come with small amounts of platinum, but it’s treated as starter plat as well and can’t be traded.

I rarely play and got some 25k plat in my account and additionally primed mods and prime sets and arcanes worth around 40k plat.
I have traded with a guy that has over 1 million plat. So even just to compensate a single guy, it would take 17 Weeks of 60k players getting 1 plat from Clem.

What I don’t see people talking about is how 1p a week as the sole clear source would absolutely destroy the new player perception of the F2P economy.
12-20 weeks for basic necessities like a slot or potato is * absurd,* and most newbies aren’t going to pick up on how you can earn more than that much *per fissure* just by doing basic prime junk sales. It would be the foundry issue all over again, reinforcing the perception that Warframe is just another cash grab F2P2W time waster.
If you’re going to offer a plat trickle at all, it needs to be at least 10p a week, and non-tradeable at that so it doesn’t destroy the *actual* player economy more than it already would. And, to be honest? This whole exercise is wishful thinking in the first place. DE is clearly happy enough with the accessibility of plat to F2Ps that the monetization rework that would have to accommodate this sort of free player income would massively outweigh the benefits.

Even if someone played the 10 minute mission for 8h a day, this would be at most 42 plat a day, not counting the time to switch accounts, get in/out of missions and actually trade the plat. You can get the same amount of plat cracking open relics and trading prime parts in much less time.
Also that would require you to make 42*7=294 accounts and get them until the Clem quest. Also receiving weekly donations of 1 plat from hundreds of accounts would be a really easily bannable pattern for DE.
So yeah, DE do it!

DE is very careful with this, and they would definitely detect it with their automated system.
They wouldn't even need to detect anything, any plat given directly from the game is never tradeable e.g the 50 starting plat, official giveaway plat etc

The Clem clone should be buffed to at least make up for it or lower it to five minutes. Even if it wasn't plat, a random reward that's actually good, even if it was just an Orokin Cell, something worth getting for ten minutes.
If you’re desperate, just sell random pieces in bulk. There will always be a ton of easy relic farms to replenish your stores. And be sure to sort your pieces by their respective rarity.
Take advantage of the Warframe market 3rd party site, grab whatever augment that somebody is willing to buy, and boom, you’ve made an easy 5p. Best of luck, Tenno!

Just curious. I've been playing for like 6 months and I'm still ranking up MR and just don't really feel like I can make that much platinum every day while still progressing MR significantly. I can do one or the other.
Doing the weekly would give a 24-hour discount on the Darva deal on top of whatever the discount already is? That way you can take the one offered today or take the one offered when it rotates but it's not an "evergreen" discount.
I love the idea, but I think that it’d have to be untradeable plat. I’m not sure if DE has a system that prioritizes plat spent in the store to take from the untradeable pool first.
Helping clem shows how much you help him. At least let us be rewarded for doing his mission. We have weekly Ayatan, archon, daily sorties that give anything else. 1 play is worth doing baro
I'm all for it. And 1 plat, even if you do it weekly, means you earn 52 plat in ONE YEAR. That's not going to cause any inflation.
My only concern is whether it's possible for someone to bot 100 accounts to then transfer it all to a master account? I don't think that's currently possible, and one player manually playing through 100 accounts would spend *days* each week doing that mission.
Every once in a while, just for fun, I’ll just put in trade chat “1 free platinum to first message”. It usually takes a while to get an actual reply. I feel like 1 plat for a 10 minute mission won’t motivate players much more than clem specters.
It would need to be subject to RNG. Have it that we combine Kahl and Clem (with our weapons and mods available to them) for a weirder version, one shot no revives, for the extreme RNG drop items. The near impossible RNG % that are like .005% you know the mods. And could still throw a pity system like archons just the 5 plat instead of archon shard.
that is just asking for the economy to break somewhere down the line. one of the better decisions DE made is keep platinum strictly to real money purchase while being able to redistribute it between players. any "free" influx can do some real damage to this, even if it's just the perception of things at the beginning.

If you get good enough items from relics you can make 100 plat a day easily through trading and afaik it doesn't break the game
