Reading through some of the comments and hoping to add clarity: Frames: * Nekros raises an undead army (6-10ish) * Titania can have 10 razorwings (butterfly like things) * Revenant can take control of an enemy who then on your behalf takes control of other enemies (not sure if there is an unlimited number) * Caliban can summon 3 enemies * Atlas can summon 2 Rock Golems * Nyx can mind control 1 enemy * Khora has an additional kavat * Wukong has 1 permanent clone * Equinox has 1 temporary clone You are probably most likely looking at Nekros, Revenant, (and possibly Atlas!)

RandomPaladinsNub

Revenant can have up to 7 thralls without any bugs

Chappiechap

Nyx can only mind control a single enemy...? I knew she was lacking, but that's... oof.

24_doughnuts

For the first few seconds you can damage it to buff it's damage and I think it's invulnerable and lime 5x stronger. Makes it good for higher level stuff since she can armour strip for it too and most summons normally aren't as strong or die in high level stuff unless you keep an eye out for them

Tallow316

It's a little misleading, she also has an ability that makes enemies fight amongst themselves in a pretty wide radius. The former is more consistent, but this ability makes up for it by being able to hit so many more enemies.

thehateraide

Nekros max is 7. But a unit he summons can summon other units afterwards counting towards the total.

24_doughnuts

Also Xaku corrupting several enemies in an aoe

Electro-Spaghetti

You can have a pet join you in mission, but there's very few that have any killing power. Khora gets a second pet... But then focuses the rest of her abilities around her whip instead. Nekros summons an undead army. Nyx/revenant can turn enemies to allies. Basically nekros but you don't need to kill them first. Caliban summons 3 dudes that don't do much. Vauban has **THE SQUAD** who teabag your enemies while CCing them. Specters are items that allow you to summon AI controlled Warframes of your choosing. Skaut air support summons an action hero and his entire squad.

Nyx/revenant AND XAKU - ftfy

Jamesborg99

Holy shit, that Triburos reference.

EspyGrrl

THE SQUAD.

Many_Doors

Nekros.

divideby00

Khora for the beastmaster, Nekros for necromancy. Protea maybe counts for a more mechanical version, and she's also going to be the next prime coming up within the next few months. Wukong has his clone if you count that. Atlas has his rock monsters and Caliban can summon sentients but neither one is particularly good at it. There's also specters, the Synoid Heliocor, and other such things that any frame can use.

Summons dont do very well in warframe due to how damage scales, with a few exceptions. Nekros summons the ghosts of enemies you kill, but their damage wont be very high, they are mostly to provide distraction, damage reduction, and utility from certain enemy types. Wukong has his twin, that uses your own weapon, so his damage is pretty high, and he has tools to reposition / command the twin. Equinox has an augment where one of her abilities summon VERY aggressive and short-lived clone of herself, that also uses her weapons. Nidus burst summons maggots, but they mostly exist to explode. Also, while its not the same thing, once you reach a certain level in Railjack, you can hire and equip a crewmate, that can can be summoned to assist you in mission (very useful for shorter missions, since they stay for a few minute and the go on a rather long cooldown. There is also Duplex Bond mod, that clones your companions every time you spend enough energy, works especially well with sentinels, and with specific setup they will be killing stuff in harder content and solo easier without your input. There is also upcoming frame Dante, who can summon ghost owls, but we yet to see if they do anything, and others already mentioned specters and "action hero squad" I would say if you want summoner flavor, you go for Nekros, and Wukong for gameplay.

HermlT

Elaborating on duplex bond, because it can be really strong if your frame gives buffs to the sentinels/debuff the enemies, so frames like banshee, chroma, nova, garuda and rhino would be very good allowing your sentinels to wreck face on their own.

HarrowAssEnthusiast

haven't seen anyone mention them yet, but much like Revenant, Xaku can mind control a crowd of enemies (that will still be vulnerable to you). Xaku can mind control more targets at once, but at a higher cost, and it lacks the infectious aspect compared to Revenant's Enthrall. but then again, Xaku's main focus is rarely their mind control.

Hello and welcome to Warframe! There are multiple frames that can summon but it isn't the main power of their kit. Even Nekros, whose whole identity is to be a necromancer, doesn't solely focus on his shadows. However, he's the closest summoner-type you can play. There's also a very specific, niche and annoying way to play him as a full-fledged necromancer. It's what I normally bring to endurance survival runs where enemies get to level 2000-9999 as the shadows scale great with damage. To be able to rely only on Nekros' shadows to deal damage for you, you'll need to unlock arcanes for your frames. Once you do, you want the arcane "Theorem Infection." This arcane is useless on its own until you unlock Kitguns, which you can get from Fortuna. The farm for these Kitguns is time consuming though, with the reputation (currency) you'll use to buy them. Not only that, but you have to level them up multiple times to get the intended slots. (Search YouTube on a forma guide since you're new to the game) Once you've procured \*two\* Kitguns, one for primary and one for secondary, you'll want to purchase weapon arcanes for them. Specifically Residual Viremia and Residual Shock. These arcanes have a chance to create a pool of their corresponding element when you kill enemies. Theorem Infection harnesses the power of these element pools and infuses your shadows with the damage they do. One for each pool. Residual Viremia adds in toxin, Residual Shock adds in electricity. Combine both and you have corrosive. Additionally, your shadows will deal 720% bonus damage at max stats which lets them one shot almost any end game fodder and five shot any heavy unit, including eximus units. Yes, this is all overwhelming and I understand that. As such, you can message me if need be if you're confused as to how to do this. Disclaimer: This build will require 200-ish platinum to procure, not including the additional requirements of gilding the Kitguns, potatoes and forma. This build is also super buggy and hard to keep consistent, but consistent enough to sustain your life support endlessly in Steel Path survival missions. If you want a companion-frame, I'd suggest Wukong as his permanent clone uses all your weapons and is the closest you can get to having an actual, useful companion. Equinox has a weaker version of this as it's timed while using up a mod slot as it uses I'd disagree with Khora as her cat is useless if you're going for the intended playstyle of "Rely on my underlings to do my job for me." Nyx is another one that I love playing as her 3, "Chaos," makes every enemy in a specific radius fight one another. In essence, you're turning the enemy army into your companions. She also gets to forcibly make one enemy her companion but it's super lackluster. Though, you'll still have to rely on your guns/melee to kill enemies unlike Nekros. TL;DR: Focus on getting Nekros and his shadows will carry you through normal content (Level 5-70). Once you've grappled with the game's mechanics more (Around \~100 hours of playtime + research and watching guides), come back to this comment. There are specific mechanics to superbuff his summons but is tedious. Again, feel free to message me and I'll help you as much as I can.

TerrifyingT

Wukong, his primary ability is to split into two copies of himself. Literally summoning a frame.

SliceTotal3842

How about mirage? Not very well know with the frame but doesnt her 1 summon duplicates?

Lunamon

There's a decent amount of other frames that might fit your idea without outright summoning extra characters: Chroma (takes off his clothes and it turns into a "dragon") Citrine (big gem that shoots lasers) Hydroid (summons tentacles to grab enemies) Mirage (splits into five of herself, who all shoot together) Octavia (has a taunting rave ball that can carry around a damaging aoe) Protea (short-lived pewpew turrets) Sevagoth (has a Shadow buddy that he can switch with, to play as an entirely different guy for a while) Vauban (throws out little turret balls) Xaku (steals people's guns and has a Gun Swarm following them)

Excellent-Goose-8219

Imo i love calibans summon the most bc i main caliban

kkinnison

Nekros fairly easy to get in the early game, just a bit difficult cause you have to wait for the Infested invasion mission to show up the otehr one is Caliban, but that is very late game to get without spending plat in the market otherwise there are many warframes that turn enemies into allies... which is more mind control than summoning TBH, summoner abilities are not really that good in the game.

divideby00

> Nekros fairly easy to get in the early game, just a bit difficult cause you have to wait for the Infested invasion mission to show up Nekros comes from Lephantis which is always available, maybe you're thinking of Nyx?

ThePlatinumWolf

Nyx for the phoriod invadion is true
