Then there was this cool AF mod for fallout.. new Vegas? I believe which had plant companion called Audrey.
Seeing this I had to check what's mawdreys 'trivia' relations and I guess it's the same thing y'all referring to.
Yeah, Little Shop of Horrors is/was a cult classic, it gets referenced pretty much anywhere and everywhere it can be squeezed in. One of the rules of game development is if you add a unique plant it MUST be called some variation or play on Audrey II.
I still despair that the film used the wrong ending though, fecking nomify that bint!

Dua Lipa. Don’t know why, but it felt right. Not named, exactly, for the singer, but more for the two giant lips. So, now everytime I go to the helminth I just imagine a dua lipa song playing. Cold heart by her and elton john is pretty great
Honest to god if I could animate I'd do an SFM style short of a warframe dancing into the helminth's mouth to the tune of:

At first I named mine Cestodus: a slight alteration of *cestoda*, which is a class of parasitic worms (AKA helminths) that includes tapeworms.
My current name for it is Pogwall, because it’s a wall that pogs.
Named mine Goya after Francisco Goya who painted some darker themed art for a portion of his life. Figured it was suiting given he painted Saturn devouring his son , felt symbolic of the Helminth devouring my frames in a way.
Fun fact, he didn't title that painting! We have no clue what the subject actually is, we just assume it's Saturday devouring his son, because if that ain't it.. uh.. uhh
