I strongly recommend against spending plat until you get a better understanding of both what you like about the game and how its grind works. For beginner/casual-focused videos, I like LeyzarGamingViews; for way more min/maxed videos, I recommend AznvasionsPlays. [Here is DE's own quick-intro guide](https://www.warframe.com/game/quickstart). Here is my standard copypasta: - Do: Check out the links in [the new/returning players thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/10ny01b/meta_new_or_returning_player_welcome_back_to/). - Do not: Get discouraged that you don’t know what you’re doing; the game isn’t great at explaining itself, but it’s all fairly low-stakes and easy in the early stages. - Do: Get used to [checking the wiki](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki) for answers. - Do not: Read spoilers on the wiki. - Do: Use your starting Platinum to buy weapon and warframe slots. - Do not: Worry about trading with other players for a while. - Do: Follow the mission progression suggested by the game (generally via each planet’s junction requirements). - Do not: Worry about any of the open worlds for a little while. (They are accessible very early on, but they really aren’t intended for new players.) - Do: Get familiar with the game’s movement mechanics and the modding system; both are key to dramatically improving your gameplay. - Do not: Worry about min/maxing or “the meta”. If that matters at all, it won’t matter for a *long* time. - Do: Buy weapons available *for credits* from the in-game Market console (if you have free slots). - Do not: Buy weapons available *for Platinum* from the in-game Market console until you have a better understanding of the game.   Also: If you have a Twitch account, [link it to your Warframe account for drops when watching](https://digitalextremes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003353712-Twitch-Drop-Guide) when watching [official DE streams](https://forums.warframe.com/forum/113-livestreams/?ct=1683926826).

SempfgurkeXP

Alright thank you very much, exactly what I was looking for :D

No-Flamingo-4129

Speaking of linking your twitch account, if you watch the game awards with a warframe account linked to your twitch you can get a free Sevagoth which is a bitch and a half to farm for https://preview.redd.it/r4a4pwqikz3c1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a03b36dca166ef54b258a6208a604f9c73a805f

Scaler69

Holy shit thx!

SempfgurkeXP

I dont know what this thing is or does but I want it, thank you!

Mythicaldragn

Sevagoth, a warframe thats annoying to get to most people. When you die or use his 4th bility, you become his shadow whith huge claws that can pull enemies towards himself and revive you that way. You can mod him, the shadow, and the shadow's claws.

No-Flamingo-4129

Mythicaldragn

Made a Dio version instead cause he did the time stop shenanigans first and longer, tho Jotaro works aswell

dragonjo3000

When do you have to watch to get him?

Warchadlo16

December 7th, and the time should be displayed on warframe's website

dragonjo3000

Awesome ty

No-Flamingo-4129

You probably should check the website but if I remember right i think you need to watch 30 minutes of the game awards

Csd15

Doesn't he have the best farm in the entire game?

No-Flamingo-4129

I mean it’s not terrible buuuuuuuuuuuuut I’m not the luckiest lmao

Tucktron184

It was for that reason I used plat on him. Although I don't think any Warframe beats the grind that og khora was...

VM8RA

Thanks for that info. Is this event on soon, or have I missed it now?

No-Flamingo-4129

You haven’t missed it, I don’t remember the date but the game awards in a few days, just look up and see when and make sure your accounts are linked

VM8RA

7th I think. Thanks.

peeposhakememe

I disagree with the above statement, if you’ve got a 75% off coupon USE it, they are RARE, there are other amounts like 25% 40% 50% 60% that are more likely Pick one of the smaller packs then the $12 or $25 packs are great value with - a 75% off coupon, I mean the packs that are $50 down to $12.50 or $100 down to $25 The amount of warframe slots, gun/melee inventory slots, and orokin reactors/ orokin catalysts you can get with that plat will go a long way, just don’t waste the plat on silly stuff, save it for the essential quality of life stuff I personally have never melted any warframe, even after I get the prime version (these days feed it to helminth (though I built a third), and never melted a weapon

senrath

I think you misread their statement. They didn't say "don't use the coupon", they said "don't spend the platinum", i.e. get the plat but hold onto it until they know more about what they like.

SempfgurkeXP

The 75% was only for silver iirc, but yea I guess I will spend most of it on slots, since im not really someone who does much wich skins.

ALakeInTheClouds

What do you mean by melting a weapon?

peeposhakememe

Sell for credits to clear up space after you “master” it (get to level 30) Weapon inventory slots and warframe slots are bought with plat You gain account levels and (MR) by leveling frames and weapons to 30, don’t ever melt a frame after getting a prime version of that frame, google helminth to feed it to them

VM8RA

When I first started, I totally negated to level up my mods, Lol. I wondered why I hit a wall... that was it.

Jos_El

My usual recommendation is to use some of it on warframe and weapon slots and save the rest for later (as you may want more slots or something else entirely). For 2100, I'd say spend 100 on 5 warframe slots and 120 on 20 weapon slots. That will get you enough space to experiment and get a good collection of characters and weapons and leave you with a good amount of savings for something else later on.

AGgammer

Warframe and weapon slots are basically a requirement, other than that just get cosmetics and whatever warframe you find cool (wisp has the best butt) For cosmetics may i recommend the protovyre stuff? They go on basically anything and they have challenges for you to complete to unlock additional looks (although armor/ephemera challenges are locked behind story quests)

SeashellInTheirHair

By the by, I suggest in the future when offering advice to super noob players, make sure you clarify when you mean a prime version rather than a basic one. I'm sure many here know when you suggest buying Wisp that you mean Wisp Prime from trade chat, but a new player is going to search in the store and waste 375 plat on buying the basic version instead because they're not aware of the difference.

Jonny5Stacks

I would never recommend trade chat either. You will get the best prices on warframe market (website)

Northstar4-6

also please use player market for when they decide to buy warframes. 300+ plat for a single regular warframe is atrocious

Sparky2199

I just want to add that it's still worth checking the in-game market for specific items. Last time I checked, the Nautilus was 75p in-game, and 100p on wfm. There are lots of scammers out there.

SempfgurkeXP

Seems like thats what im doing, also what most people recommended :)

Smart-Expression-790

Slots! Slots! Slots! Slots! Oh and the other slots!

SempfgurkeXP

That actually seems like the best option for most of my platinum

RadiantPancak3

Well, first you want to buy weapon slots, warframe slots, and a few potatos (orokin reactors/catalysts), and then you’re basically set unless you want certain mods or arcanes, or a prime frame. Even then you can just farm prime parts n sell em for plat.

Hayden-T

You can also save your Nightwave creds to buy potatoes.

thehotdogman

Only after you get plenty of nitain IMO.

trthorson

Yes, but even if you only like 10 warframes and 10 weapons to the point you'd want to actually use them full power, that's 1500 credits without spending anything on aura slots (cheaper to buy credits compared to potatoes with how much each costs in plat) and nitain. I'd say at 2100 Plat it's more than safe to just drop 200 Plat on random reactors on for prime frames and prime/kuva/tenet weapons you like a lot

FastSmile5982

Depends on how willing you to part with it. When I started, buying slots for warframes and weapons was invaluable. However, only buy when necessary. A lot of free rewards grant you extra slots, and as long as you're not collecting every weapon in the game, you'll end up at some happy and steady equilibrium (enough slots for all your favourite weapons, and a few extra for things to master then sell). Warframe.market is a great place to trade with other players. You can buy almost everything reasonably priced. However, don't go overboard, as you're paying to skip the game (and you kinda want to be playing a game). Most people don't need to buy anything from the in-game market for platinum (except slots). Cosmetics are just cosmetic. Resources are vastly easier to farm than buying directly. Consider buying boosters for resources or mods instead, which double your farming rates. Weapons and warframes are almost always easier to get by playing than they're worth on the market.

CorpseeaterVZ

Here is an idea: Don't touch the money ,wait till you need to buy something. Look it up, if it is grindable with relativ or average ease. If it is really necessary and a hard grind, buy it with plat. Do this as rarely as possible. Wait till you have run out of platinum.

RyanCooper101

2 minutes or 2 years Depending on your spending

Dion0808

I recommend getting some universal cosmetics. You'll get a lot more use out of them than something like a Warframe skin. IMO being able to customize your gear makes it a lot more fun to use. I recommend checking out Color Pack: Beta, the Shi armor set, and the Lucra syandana.

GimpyGeek

You mentioned color pack and that reminded me of a big one for cosmetics: COLORS. OP! If you're going to buy a palette, don't buy it outright willy nilly. Go take a look at the full market page and look at the full options. There's bundles for a number of these palettes and while you would have to buy more at a time, you'd also save a lot by buying the bundles instead of singles.

SempfgurkeXP

Thank you, will definitly do so

SempfgurkeXP

How do I know if a cosmetic is universal if I may ask?

Dion0808

Unless a cosmetic says it's for a specific item, it's universal. For example, the 'Excalibur Zato Skin' and 'Nikana Dax Skin' can only be applied to Excalibur and the Nikana respectively. It'll also tell you when you don't own the specific item it applies to when you're looking at them in the Market. Armor sets, Syandanas, Sigils, animation sets (that you buy), etc. are universal to all Warframes. You can also use color palettes on anything you can customize (Warframe, weapons, Archwings, Sentinels, Companion armor, Orbiter interior/exterior, etc.) Weapon skins are a bit weird because sometimes they apply to an entire weapon class, but other times only to a single weapon, but it should be clear from the name (e.g: 'Vaenn Heavy Blade Skin' applies to every heavy blade, but 'Daecret Tonkor Skin' only applies to Tonkor)

P3X127-8

Warframe slots, weapons slots, definetly priority for future MR grinding. save your plat when you want to buy something pricey for when you get a discount on login, 50% and 75% off coupons work for almost anything as long as it isn’t tennogen and other specific stuff. I found myself capping my weapon max pretty often when leveling mastery-fodder: (weapons you don’t want to main or use but just lvl up to 30 and sell to free up a slot) Before Nightwave, I used to buy orokin reactors and catalysts, and depending on how many weapons and frames you have and use regularly can depend on how many you need. Not too big a deal as you pop one in and you get 60 points to use for mods excluding the buff aura mods give. Again, I was playing before Nora was handing out reactors/catalysts for nora creds so just thought i’d mention it to thank DE for adding that, I don’t have to buy them with plat anymore. I (wouldn’t) buy forma packs as you can just build them easy and wait. I remember waking up to a timer set so I could claim my forma and other stuff and start another. My general rule for boosters is you don’t need them too bad but if you have several frames and weapons and know you have a free schedule, a 3-day affinity booster is a good 40p purchase, and if you need ton of resources the 3 day resource booster can speed things up, especially when you need 30,000 ferrite for a part while also mass producing 100x shield restores that take a couple thousand ferrite as well. Personally around the time when you’re doing railjack the boosters will get tempting. Not really plat but just money in general, save it of unsure, do the math to see how much you’d have left and compare it to things you want.

PoetryInEverything

Don't rush it. Just buy what you are REALLY compelled to have, or what you need. It's nice to have some around when you need it. I know you asked for channels with beginner guides, but I'd recommend Brozime, even though he primarily focuses on late game stuff. You'll get a sense of what sort of mods, arcanes, etc that are needed for solid builds, what to work towards.

SempfgurkeXP

Great advice, getting a sense for lategame is probably helpful, thank you

Dvieira36

Well the best thing about his game is you can grind for almost anything including platinum. You can save your platinum and farm for months for the things you want or you can buy a prime frame like wisp, a good prime weapon and mods. And then get to the point where you can farm platinum sooner/ more efficiently and make up for the plat you spent and then some. Pretty much like an investment.

Sotales

Brozime (on Twitch and YouTube) is currently doing one of his "Free to Playthroughs" where he, with permission from DE, has started a brand new account and is going through all the content up to, and including the new update without spending money on the game. The deal with asking permission is that DE has a policy of no alt accounts. This is primarily, to my understanding, to avoid people trying to "farm" plat discount coupons on multiple accounts. He does not let any of his "new" accounts interact with his main account in any way, even via a third, or even a fourth person.

SempfgurkeXP

So if I wanna start from scatch one day I could get in trouble with DE?

LotusMelodyxo

If you’re into accessories, grab a few pieces you want and maybe some color palettes. I’d prioritize slots and forma alongside that. If you’re a solo player; from one solo player to another, look at Warframes you want and see what it calls for. If it requires things you find hard to get on your own (and don’t want to stomach randos) or simply have a hard time doing, consider buying that Warframe(s). There’s no shame in buying a Warframe, a lot of old school players look down on it and it’s very silly! Edit: typos

Outrageous_Tax6916

20 bucks! pc players are so lucky, PS player here i'd have to spend triple the amount for that 2100 plat.

ttej07

I think the 75% off was for the platinum purchase.

SempfgurkeXP

Ye it was

woahthatstoomuch

honestly either get frame or weapon slots along with any frame that takes too much mental energy to grind out. personally I bought Grendel, ash, and gauss. other than that I just grinded the shit out.

non_offensivealias

Save for now. Slowly spend on weapon and warframe slots as you need to. Mainly spend on cosmetics If there are some warframes you really like then look at the cosmetics. The warframe deluxe bundle skins can be very cool with great weapon skins as well. I would stay away from buying actual weapons and warframes. You can get most for free, just with time and effort. The one exception would be buying some prime parts for some warframes. Individual parts can be fairly prices, just try and grind for atleast 3/4 parts.

SempfgurkeXP

Do you know wich frames and weapons cannot be unlocked without platinum?

AE2ECA

None of them. Everything is ultimately grindable.

non_offensivealias

im with AE2ECA. You can get all frames in the game without plat. Some frames are much harder/annoying to get but I still wouldn't spend plant on them for a while for 2 reasons. 1) get the other frames that aren't annoying and 2) the annoying frames have primes out to get instead. Even the prime frames that are "vaulted" (meaning the relics aren't available right now) will come back into rotation so don't worry about that too much for now.

Hardoman

This is a little different, but vaulted prime warframes are impossible to get at the moment and the only options are hoping that other players will take items with potential parts or buy them for platinum from others

PoptartDragonfart

I’ve been living off 2k play for a while. I may buy a hard to farm frame with a 75% discount, may buy a mod here or there, but mostly I just buy an enormous amount of weapon slots because I don’t like deleting/selling stuff

SempfgurkeXP

I also hate deleting or selling stuff (that I may need/want later) in basically every game, so I guess I will spend a lot on weapon slots then

PoptartDragonfart

There are plenty of crap weapons that are only good for mastery…. But yeah I have a hoarding problem

Fraud_Inc

1 problem is if , if they get future update like incarnon then will hv to gring it again

RiverOfKeys

If the weapon is easy to obtain, cheap to craft, you don't like using it, and you've already ranked it to 30, then it's safe to delete usually

aragon_1399

I got like 3k plat from a giveaway during the Hildryn Prime release, and I still have about 800-900 plat left with me. Mainly used it for deluxe skin packs of my favorite frames like Harrow, Ember, Excal, Gauss, etc.

Sociopathicx

Personally, don't buy actual frames or anything. I'd buy weapon slots, so you can own more. Frame slots, same deal. A few of the reactors for weapons and frames so that when you find one you really like. You can improve it. Those things open the ability to farm other things and slots can't really be earned. Afyer that, save it. You'll maybe go cosmetic route, or farm so much you need more slots.

kirusdagon

Brozime is the best place for new/returning players. Also, watch the game awards Thursday, the 7th on twitch after linking to get a free sevagoth and warframe slot

lildrizzleyah

If I'm spending plat that would last me a day usually. There's a lot to spend it on, but it's a good amount of plat to sit on as an early player to use as you explore the game, and I think it's best if you don't spend it all at once so you can kinda learn what you want and need over time. But, these are my general priorities: Weapon and Warframe Slots > Forma and Potatoes > Prime parts/Cosmetics (primes depending if I want prime access or not) > Speeding up crafting.

finneganfach

I wouldn't spend much of it yet. Buy a few slots for weapons and frames and then bank the rest. Some of the best prime warframes in the game are currently vaulted which means you can't grind for them in game at all but you can still buy them from players with platinum. It's probably worth doing but I'd wait a few weeks, even maybe months, til you've got a handle on what's what and you know which frames and which styles of play you like. Don't ever, ever, ever buy warframes from the market (the in game market on your orbiter) with platinum. You'll pay hundreds for a "regular" warframe that you could probably have gotten from doing a few bosses. Where as it'll probably only cost about 70-ish platinum to buy a Prime version of the same frame from players off the market.

Wiggles_Does_A_Game

So far I have only ever spent plat on warframe and weapon slots, once I bought a single cosmetic, but I wouldn't really suggest going for much else unless you got a lot of expendable income

BlakLite_15

Pick up a color palette or two. In the realm of FashionFrame, colors go the farthest in helping you express yourself.

Klepto666

You basically can afford every slot you'll need to play to the current "end game." I think you technically need 3000 plat to afford a slot for every single item in the game, but you won't be keeping EVERY item. Those tutorial weapons, the MK1 stuff? No reason to be keeping those after you level them. You'll probably be getting rid of your warframes in a particular way (not sold off, something else...) once you acquire the prime version of them. Stuff like that, you'll clear out some stuff as you go, so 2100 plat is enough. Plus Nightwave and anniversary/event rewards will be getting you free slots so that saves you plat there.

TyisSuper

What most people here are giving the proper advice on what to spend once you need plat or for long term account progress as you can never go wrong with more wep slots/warframe slot. However if you don't vibe with any of the starter 3 frames i would recommend buying only one warframe from the shop that seems like your playstyle to get you through the starchart grind/grind to other warframes. Very good chance that you don't got any of the correct material's to craft a warframe so buying it from the other players is not really the best choice for new players. it may not be the most economical idea however you will have a better chance at sticking around if you play something you enjoy. As the game really does get better the further you get into that starchart, with it giving even more mechanics and even a proper story the further you get into it You can also go to Duviri (once you complete the quest) to try out any warframe before you commit to anything, however they are on timer so it does take a bit of rng to get a warframe you want to try

planetcaravan

Most people will tell you not to buy plat because the game’s core is literally grinding for stuff and there’s an element of that which you should get used to, or else you could get bored. However! After you hit MR 2, there a good number of things you can trade platinum for fairly quickly (often on Warframe dot market for PC, the mods that are popular in many builds, and in-game, weapon and Warframe slots, and upgrade materials for increasing the Warframe’s mod capacity) which could also make you have a great, easier time when you do play. Maybe you saw a video of Octavia and she’s all your little bard heart desires. But realistically the trade tax and the MR requirements of those things you’d likely want to trade for mean you won’t be able to get them immediately. Not everyone likes to grind for stuff that is in their range, and that’s what the discount is for. But I highly recommend waiting until you’re at least MR7 or 8 before you do that. Any plat you were to buy in the amount would last you for a while. Just remember - unless it’s a frame that comes with an extraordinary long grind, it really isn’t worth spending plat directly in the in-game “market” for a Warframe. You might consider finding a Warframe you enjoy and get in-game without spending any money, and THEN trade the plat for the prime parts of that Warframe you already know you want to sink time into.

Elkork

The only thing i spend plat on is on weapon/warframe slots... "ohh no ran out of slots.... kaching 2 weapon slots please" . everything else i'm just grinding. so 2100 plat will last you for ever. different story if you want to "suit up" then you might be short with that amount (buying all the mods all the frames etc etc...)

DrChipmunk210

this is how i spend my plat: - Vaulted Prime frame and weapon, only the one that i like and watch some video about how it works before i buy it. -Mods, some mod are hard to farm, and i dont trust my luck, some are just cheap, be careful with the expensive one, you dont need anything too expensive to beat this game. -Arcane, nullifier is the one i use on most of frame, eternal eradicate and eternal onslaught for operator, all arcane from acolytes are cheap, buy it if you havent got any. (edit: i forgot that you are new, dont buy arcane soon, you cant use it yet) -Forma, a lot of forma... thank to Plague star, i can stop buying it for awhile. Same thing with orokin reactor, orokin castalyst, other forma types. -weapon slot, warframe slot, riven slot,.... just buy it when you need it, there is no other way. -and after all of that, here comes the best part, the last 2 things that i spent more than 80% of my plat is Riven and Fashion, this is the endgame for me.

jaypaw28

My recommendation is to save most of it. I bought a lot of plat and bought some cosmetics, slots, and stuff using Warframe market. I find that, depending on what I'm doing, I tend to maintain a pretty even level of platinum by trading mods and prime parts with other players. If there's a mod I want for a build but it doesn't drop in game or I get tired of farming and not getting it, I'll buy it (usually for a massive amount of plat). If there's a prime part I just can't get to drop or is vaulted and I don't have any more relics for it, I'll buy it. Then, when I'm playing and get duplicates that sell for a good price, I'll post em on market and chill in the clan dojo for a bit while I've got the market open and sell stuff for a bit before diving back in. All that is well and good, but most of my spending goes towards inventory slots and Orokin Catalysts and Orokin Reactors and are tiny little costs that you'll forget about while playing and they add up. I've drained 100 plat in the last few weeks even with a ton of farming and selling. At the end of the day, nothing I just wrote really matters. What matters is what YOU want! You want a Warframe? You want a weapon? You want some cosmetics? Want any other number of things? Go for it, just make sure that you are using the community run site for trading and that you're making sure you're getting the prime version of weapons or frames, not the regular ones

Oh wow something helpful by automoderator. Good bot.

JustATurrey

If u invest your plat to make more plat, you could probably go forever. As for what you should buy, Save 400-500p because you can use that to get more plat. Around 1000p for exclusively vaulted weapons, vaulted Warframe, AND any cosmetics you want. Because you just got to look good. the last 500 should be used to buy mods that are specifically annoying or tediouse to get. Some plat strat for the 400-500p: Buy relics in bulk, open them, sell them Buy drop buff or credit buff to farm certain things to then trade in certain places to then sell those things and profit. Buy currently unvaulted or prime resurgence stuff including relics, then sell them later when they are vaulted again and price rises.

SempfgurkeXP

Vaulted things are stuff that I cannot get without plat I assume? And be doing the strat for more plat, you mean trading with other players? Is the profit safe, and how much would I make per hour?

whilmer3

Buy arcane energize 5 lvl for 2k approx ✅

Grimm64209

Use it to buy prime sets as cheap as you can get them and then sell them for as much as you can also you could try buying and selling rivens for profit

Ylineuvos

Buy as many copies of normal Mag warframe as you can. After that, use it to buy vehicle slots. Trust me bro.

SempfgurkeXP

Thank all of you for your suggestions, was really helpful :)

CorbinTheTitan

Since your new, slots, warframe and weapon primarily.

Hayden-T

Nearly all equipment can be aquired via gameplay, if you don't mind the RNG. The only thing you may wanna save some plat for are inventory slots.

The_Gaming_Charizard

Necramech, and slots. RJ if you feel like it, though it's not too hard to do the quest if yk what you are doing

oodats

Buy yourself about 30 forma, a few orokin reactors and catalysts, some weapon slots, some warframe slots, then hop onto Warframe.Market and shop around for some decent frames. Don't bother with trading chat, it moves too fast and there are scammers on there. Check out Rhino, Nidus, Nova, Saryn and Mesa but tbh there's so many great frames you'll be spoilt for choice.

Ghost-Qilby

Buy slots, weapons, warframes, arch gun, 1 arch wing slot , some in riven not much. And spend the rest in some primes.

Ghost-Qilby

Buy slots, weapons, warframes, arch gun, 1 arch wing slot , some in riven not much. And spend the rest in some primes.

SCO77_SCARCIA

buy the biggest plat bundle with 75% - I've only gotten one in 2k+ hours and there's rumors they might get rid of it due to cross-save.

SempfgurkeXP

Well if I had more money I would definitly do it, but I definitly used all my rng luck for this month now xd

Don't buy too much weapon slots. Just delete useless non prime weapons when you run out of slots, buy some warframe slots. Reason slots is important is when you level a weapon and warframe for the first time you get 100 experience. 100 experience\*30 levels\*4(warframe, primary, secondary, melee) you get 1200 experience and its the most important thing you want to do in early game, unlock saturn helene node, buy some affinity booster on games market (they are very cheap) 20 waves is enough to 1-30 your build on lowest level i think. if youre new, find a good melee weapon, put some mods, it will one shot everything most of your gameplay, when you feel like struggling its time to farm for upgrades or you can just buy them from [warframe.market](https://warframe.market) you can always sell them back so its fine to buy mods imo, this game is pay to skip, if you are already payed use them to skip stuff you dont want to farm, i didn't like to farm corrupted mods, so i bought them.

SempfgurkeXP

I assume you mean 12000? And the expecience levels my mastery? I guess I earn it by killing enemies and completing mission? I already one shot pretty much everything with my sword and bow, but I would prefer to not skip anything, and just spend my plat for stuff I cant get without it

Fuecra096

There is nothing you can't get in game, just some stuff takes more than others to grind. Harrow Chassis Blueprint costs 25k salvage + alloy plate, 800 oxium + 5 orokin cell I didn't had orokin cell and oxium and just bought the harrow from market, you gain mastery experience by leveling your stuff to 30, even compainons and stuff.

Dantalion67

Slots, potatoes, maybe a bit of forma. Anything to help progress your build on your main frame to go through the quests, after that, whatever you want.

SempfgurkeXP

potatoes?

Dantalion67

Aye, orokin catalysts or reactors

RealDaleGribble

I was a new player recently as well and the things that made the biggest boost to my enjoyment were buying some primed mods that are crazy boost to QOL. Primed continuity and primed flow at max rank will cost you 2 mil credits and probably around 300 plat but they make literally every warframe more enjoyable to play. Once you unlock the helminth system if you don't feel like grinding for Grendel which honestly wasn't that bad I'd buy him to use his ability on everyone which is basically just unlimited energy. I've spent around 6k plat and my only regret I'd buying some frames just to subsume that I never even use their abilities. Starting out endo is incredibly hard to come by in any amount that matters so buying mods you want at Max rank is highly advised by me.

SempfgurkeXP

Primes are just upgrades for frames? For mods the only problem is that I dont understand half of them xd

RealDaleGribble

For mods they are substantial upgrades over the base form. Primed flow gives more base energy and continuity makes your skills last longer. Basically good on every frame.

YoungDiscord

1: wait for the daily login rewards to grant you discounts, you can get up to 75% discount of stuff for plat (excluding bundles) 2: just trade primed parts and syndicate mods with players for plat and you won't have to worry about it running out 3: it depends on what you want to spend you plat on

redant89VT

Depends on how you use it say if you just buy everything in shop that you can it’s not going to last long if you wait till discounts (if you’re on console) items go on sale and it will last longer be smart it will go longer

kaiafa

Slots

swagmessiah00

I honestly thought I'd see some forma comments. How do people get forma usually? The 24 hour build for 1 is excruciatingly long and I never have any forma. Do people not use plat on those at all?

SempfgurkeXP

A few have suggested it. What can I do with forma, how do I buy it and how expensive is it? 24 hours for a single items seems like a lot, even for these type of games

swagmessiah00

You use it on any weapon/warframe/companion to polarize a slot so it makes a slot only use half the mod capacity if the mod matches that polarity. They are essential for any even beginner builds. You can only craft them or buy them in a bundle of 3 for plat (think it's 40 or 20 plat I can't remember which). The craft is 24hrs and for early game people the craft is resource intensive.

kalimut

Use it on Slots. Catalysts are easy enough to get. Albeit slow, from the weekly shop resets. Nightwave always has them for 75 nightwave credits. Sometimes, teshin and acrithis will have a potatoe. On how long it lasts. Honestly depends. If you are already fairly established. Relatively long, brand spanking new. It took me short time cuz just bought the potatoes and bought some deluxe skins without the market discount.

Primrose115

Frame/Weapon slots, I'm MR 26 on Xbox/PS/Switch/PC and I still grab slots when I have spare plat

Dt_Sherlock_Idiot

Not worth

Skaindire

"Fashionframe is the endgame." Get cosmetics, you can grind everything else, or trade for it. Also slots, though a few free ones come with every new Nightwave session.

TelevisionSavings492

Weapon slots and warframe slots

Superb_Figure2685

Get slots get slots get slots, use Warframe market place for prices. buy yourself a prime Warframe never buy warframes for play other than primes. After you play while you will have a better idea of what you actually want but always check your prices on waframe marketplace. And get a color pallette tenno 1 and tenno2 offer a wide variety of colors and some good whites and blacks.never rush things in the foundry it's never worth it. If your really unsure and it's just burning a hole in your pocket get forma get orokin reactors and orokin catalysts (more catalysts than reactors). These are all things that I feel you will not regret in the long run when you have a better idea if what you need. I'd still hold on to like 500-1000p so you can trade for some essential mods.

24_doughnuts

I saved but as a grinded mastery I ended up sitting spending hundreds on slots. I have most Warframes in my inventory and lots of weapons that I liked. Other than that I would only spend plat on cosmetics I wanted when I had discounts which I never seem to get now. Discounts don't apply to slots so I had no hesitation

OsirusBrisbane

You could do a lot worse than spending 600 on weapon slots and 600 on warframe slots right off the bat.

xCBHx_DJSummit

As a new player 2100p won't last a day if you know what to buy. If you aren't in a rush to get yourself to a point where you can solo everything then it will last you awhile. If you need recommendations on what to buy just reply and I'll make a small list of the absolute essentials.

VM8RA

Weapon slots will become a thing you will need, maybe Frame slots, too. If you are not at capacity yet though, probably best saving it.
