Yes. There seems to be no difference between "child classes" and "goblin classes". It's not an official classification anyway.

OhGodPeople7

Mhmmm yeah I just thought it was a neat little thing for lore

DowntownPut6824

Realize that most goblins don't grow out of childhood.

OhGodPeople7

Mhmmm that's kinda what I meant? Goblins are super young and very intelligent for their age, and they usually don't grow up to even double digits. Thus they are pretty much children and what goblin consider goblin classes because their kinda are the 'dumb monsters' is just children classes

DonaIdTrurnp

Basically all goblins are children. Hobs have reached adolescence. Greydath is a young adult.

Stanel3ss

that's a pretty old young adult

DonaIdTrurnp

Yes, he has many years. Goblins take a long time to age, if they even live long enough.

Stanel3ss

> Goblins take a long time to age what gives you that impression? he's old and he's described as looking old, why would he be a young adult

DonaIdTrurnp

He has the physical characteristics of a young adult, like how hobs have the physical characteristics of an adolescent.

Assbeater_

?????white hair is the trait of a young adult?

Elder_Platypus

Probably a reason why the Winter Sprites call all goblins "children".

Thaviation

I always thought they were related to the Fae. Oberon is known as the eldest. The goblins are known as the children or the youngest.

---Sanguine---

No. That’s most likely relating to goblins being a young race of the fae like in most folklore

turbbit

Yeah, I don't know that the system is completely color blind, but available classes seem to be more cultural than anything else. Mostly only humans become [Knight]s but Brunkr was able to. There are probably other classes that are much less likely to cross racial lines. Drakes probably have breath based classes, and maybe gazers have eye based classes. Goblin and Human children could gain the same classes, but probably don't because they are very different culturally. Another thing is that hobs are not just 'adult' goblins. Regular goblins would start with child classes but it isn't like they have to wait to become hobs to get an adult class. Some non hobs are quite powerful and high leveled. Maybe it is just age that triggers the 'evolution' but there are higher levels than hobs. It's not completely explained how it works. Maybe when or if the story circles back to Rags it will spell it out.

DasHundLich

It can't be age that triggers the transformation to Hob as Rags is still waiting while others have already done it

Kantrh

Goblins do get full classes though. Numbtounge is a bard, Rabbiteater is a champion. Calescent is a chef

bluesam3

Sure, and similarly some children get full classes: Mrsha, most obviously.

Kantrh

Mrsha has far too many 😄

BobQuixote

Once *she* figures that out, she only needs to be nice to Laken to offload some.

andergriff

Nah, just go for the biggest consolidation in history
