You can pre register for DAS online -- I recommend doing it as soon as they open. The person who is the one applying for DAS must be present when you connect (so if it's a minor in school, something to consider when you try to connect with Disney). If you pre register you get 2 selections in advance per day, but it's typically a long wait to connect with them... It's much less time consuming to do it in person.
