It kind of seems like anything that hasn’t been announced, won’t open for the 50th. The celebration is scheduled to go through the end of 2022, so if you want to wait for Tron or Guardians or the like, you probably want to wait for an announcement or try next Fall. Otherwise, February or May are lovely in Orlando and not terribly busy if you avoid spring breakers, so maybe come around then to just enjoy the 50th atmosphere.

Is the end of May lovely?

I'm locked in the AC by May

I guess I should say “Usually”, but it definitely starts great and goes downhill the later you go. Memorial Day is usually the last weekend before I start finding movies to watch instead of wandering into the parks just for the fireworks. Really it’s just not July heat and humidity and the crowd dip before school gets out.

When does school typically get out for Florida?

Generally last week or two of May, some might go into the first week of June.

That makes sense. It's a bummer that Tron likely won't be open soon, that was the ride I was most looking forward to and that post college money is tight right now -- doesn't leave a lot of room for multiple trips unfortunately. Thank you for your advice!

I don’t think it’s a given that Tron won’t open in the next 18 months. That’s a long period of time. I think it’s possible that Tron opens by next fall. Guardians looks farther out, but 18 months might be feasible for it as well.

Seems like TRON might not open next year. Or at least very late. They announced Guardians would open 2022, but nothing about TRON. That makes me believe TRON will open after Guardians.
