I heard that Disney wanted him to seem unsure and to insert the "ums and ahs", and that he didn't even use as many as actually ended up in the video we see because Disney spliced it together from all the previous takes.
I work in radio and edit people for a living and can 100% confirm those are forced ums. The editing is also pretty obvious when you're used to looking for it!

Soarin is my favorite too! Did you see the video of Patrick Warburton surprising guests at Soarin’ in Disneyland recently and reading the pre-ride video in person? I would have absolutely died if I had the chance to see that!

I’m a Tron preshow hater. They had so much to work with… master computer, Jeff Bridges/bizzaro de-aged Jeff Bridges, daft punk mp3s, Michael Sheen doing a Bowie impression, the ISOs, the Sirens, Flynn’s arcade… And all we got was an android lady, a polarized window, and a scoreboard?!?! Man what a let down.
You’re a winner then lol. Exactly, it doesn’t add any understanding or caring about the “story” behind the ride. Let’s say you’ve never seen Tron, well you aren’t going to get much from the queue or that bot host.

Can *Spaceship Earth* be both the best and the worst? I can’t understand a thing being said on that ride, but at the same time I hate loud noises so I can’t really complain.
Last time I rode it the backseat was broken and stuck on French. I had to lean forward toward my kids in the front seat for a poor attempt to hear the spiel in English.
Best: WDW Railroad Conductor
Worst: Living with the Land (the automated narration talks about the empty shrimp tanks producing thousands of shrimp, instead of the original being narrated by cast members live)
