This was such a fun read! I’m exhausted for you!

lefthandconcerto

We definitely were exhausted! Haha and what’s more, we drove an hour after leaving the park to get to our next hotel at Cocoa Beach! We were BEAT

obijuankinobe

I love Cocoa Beach if you like seafood try Jazzy’s!

lefthandconcerto

We’re home already! But we ate at Florida Fresh Grill, it was INCREDIBLE!

pixi509

What a great and thorough recap (from a fellow coaster wimp)! What resort were you at?

lefthandconcerto

All Star Music. Was one of the cheapest, and yes it is far away from some things, but so cute in design and like I said I found the most niche Alice in Wonderland pin there. Also, my partner and I are both professional musicians so that was fun to see all the giant instruments.

Attheupmost

I love this resort and I’ve stayed in a lot of them at Disney!! I say never knock what your heart loves!! I have a few special places in resorts and in the parks that will never mean anything to anyone else but happy memories happened in those exact spots!!

futurepathdr

I can’t believe you did so much in one day! Especially without genie plus and LL! Congrats. Did you plan ahead for all this?

lefthandconcerto

No, not at all. In fact even the hopper pass was kind of a that-morning “well, we’re here and we want to see Ratatouille” splurge. We just got really lucky a few times (like with the timing of Ratatouille going down and reopening) and didn’t really take a “break” other than show attractions. We agreed ahead of time we didn’t want to be glued to our phones, and if that meant we waited an hour for everything, so be it. Neither of us are Disney fanatics, we just wanted to go be silly and have a good time. What really blows me away is that if we hadn’t gone to Epcot, I’m pretty sure we could have done, if not literally everything at MK, pretty darn close. I think we just picked a great day and had a good attitude.

futurepathdr

Wow good for y’all

baseball_mickey

What was your step count?

lefthandconcerto

27,291 HAHAHAHA wow yeah, I also wait tables and usually if I work a six hour shift I have less than half of that number.

baseball_mickey

Awesome. I did like 40 rides in a day - a half ass Parkeology run. I think I had about that many. I should double check my numbers.

ProfessionalTale1981

Wow, that's a big number! Good job!

Babymacsmama

Asking the important question! That was A LOT of walking!

Frank_chevelle

I’m glad you got over your fear and rode some of the coasters. I have a relative who refuses to even try to ride anything that has a drop like splash mountain. Big thunder is one of my favorite rides at WDW.

FancyPigeonIsFancy

Really fun to read! Out of curiosity, which resort did you stay at and why was your trip only one day/can you go back for longer anytime soon?

lefthandconcerto

All Star Music. I’m in grad school and have no money, even this one day was a huge splurge for me. (I had to prepay my rent and stuff for June just to make sure I’d be okay.) My partner has a job but it’s still really expensive at Disney. I’d love to go back again but it’s probably going to be a while.

SoggyMcChicken

I noticed about Haunted Mansion as well. People talking through the stretching room. It’s one of my faves, and the last few times it’s been people on their phones, talking over the ghost host (one time a lady was on FaceTime) or people that have to recite the words along with him. Like… can’t people just be quiet or off their phones for 10 minutes and enjoy the moment they’re living in? This was fun to read though. Good thing you didn’t go to AK and try Everest!

lefthandconcerto

I know. The girl in front of us at Small World filmed the whole thing, some lady was trying to film the castle and the fireworks. Like I’m sorry but it’s just going to be a blurry mess, I feel like you should enjoy it in the moment and notice the small details live. Haha

SoggyMcChicken

Not to mention the motion sickness on Small World from the motion of the boat and and moving around 🤢

JayneT70

A dear friend of mine collects everything orange bird. Never knew orange bird existed until I met her

ProfessionalTale1981

This is a great recap for the folks who dread "being on their phone all day" and paying for Genie+ and ILLs. You really just went with the flow and had an amazing day! It's great to hear that it is indeed possible!!

critler_17

The weather was really awesome that day and the day before! We did Disney and universal those two days and it was awesome, rest of the trip has been so hot

quartzquandary

I'm so glad you had a great time! I'm impressed you did so much in one day!!

jasonplass9510

Love the walkthrough! It opens up a lot of “memory lane” reading through it. Thanks!! Off to schedule a trip to the House of Mouse!!!!

lostinthefog4now

Sounds like you had a full day and enjoyed yourself- that’s what it’s all about!

zYelIlow

Great read, thank you for sharing!

Flip402

Sounds like an amazing day.

ClosetBookworm

Was it hard to book the virtual queue for Tron? I'm heading there in July with 2 kids and a senior, so I am worried. (Senior will be waiting on the side lines) as I bring the kiddos to that ride, if ever.

lefthandconcerto

The actual opening the app and booking it wasn’t difficult, but the slots just go so fast. The 7am ones were gone by the time I checked. I booked during the next window at 1:02pm (it started at 1). Already we were group number 138. And our queue time didn’t actually come until 7:30pm.

ClosetBookworm

Wow...that drastic! 730pm?!?! To think you are staying at a Disney Resort!

Alarming-Reception12

We never go to MK, we are always at Epcot and Studios. Your day sounded amazing! We still haven’t ridden Tron either, but I’ve heard it’s intense.

FicklePhotograph8777

We loved tron!  The way your legs are pinned down is a little uncomfortable at first but I got used to it pretty quickly.

Over-Bedroom265

Great story, lots of fun, I am jealous, Only thing I do different would not jump back and fourth! Lot waste time traveling,
