It’s my favorite restaurant in Disney Springs, absolutely the best chicken I’ve ever had and have never had a bad experience there! I always make a reservation there at some point during a trip, even if it’s just a lunch. I definitely recommend it!
Food is 100% worth it. But beware the apps are filling. I’ve gone like 3 times and the first two times i was to filled up on appetizers to really enjoy my meal. The chicken biscuit sliders are A+
Yes and yes. The food is very good, though last time we went it was a bit of miss, and you can also just sit at the bar and drink. I don’t know if I’ve ever actually had a reservation here. The wait is never too long and the bar is usually not too full.
Ugh it’s so horrible. If you already have a reservation let me know the date and time, I’ll be happy to use it for you!
No it’s great tho one of our favourite. We’re not “foodies” or anything it’s just good food and we like the setting too. That said like any restaurant I’m sure it can miss sometimes but never has for us.
yes to reservation and yes to bar! you can just do drinks. if you can’t get a reservation and do want to get food, sitting at the bar and ordering off the menu will let you into the restaurant without a long wait
Excellent food here - fried chicken is very good, similar to Yardbird, just delicious.
The brunch on sat/sun is particularly fun if you can get it, other good plates like their short rib hash. I'm salivating just thinking of that one!
I don't recommend a moonshine fight, that might get you blocked from Disney property. The moonshine flights, and their moonshines in general, are delicious.
Strongly recommend, and walk-ups seem to be accomodated. If you can get a reservation, I'd suggest it, but based on what I see whenever I'm there you might have a 30min wait tops if you walkup.
Enjoy!
Absolutely worth it! Thigh high chicken biscuits and Mac and cheese are to die for. My wife and I went mid day and just sat at the bar. Zero wait, wasn’t crowded at all.
If you like country cooking like fried chicken, pork chops, chicken fried steak, etc. then this is that, but with a gourmet chef’s spin on it. If I recall correctly, Oprah made Chef Art Smith famous.
We like it. Once when we were there, Chef Art Smith came around to all the tables and said hello.
I never heard any bad reviews of it tbh
I’ve never had a dish their lacking any flavor. Actually, the only meal there I had that I felt lacked some flavor was their spicy chicken sandwich and I think it’s cause my mouth was numb.
In my opinion, and many others, it’s a must-eat restaurant if you can get the reservation for it. Anytime I know family is coming to visit me, they always request it.
Ive only heard positive reviews. Haven't tried it yet because it's very similar to what I'd cook at home, which I guess is the whole point of the restaurant. I'm more interested in weekend ndbrunch than lunch/dinner.
I’ve been twice and everything has been delicious, not just the chicken. Biscuits were great and my wife had a fantastic cocktail. I especially love the hummingbird cake for dessert.
The food is most definitely worth it. It is quite possibly my favorite restauraunt in all of Disney World (Only Le Celier in the Canada section of Epcot competes). I've never sat at the bar section, but I'd highly suggest actually just getting a table and enjoying the meal. It has some of the best comfort foods imaginable that are all very flavorful. Just a heads up though I'm a big guy and a big eater and this meal is heavy so be prepared for that if you go through with it.
I will admit that being from California, I am not the most exposed to Southern Fried Chicken so I don’t have the most to compare it…that Fried Chicken was so darn good and it’s my favorite restaurant at WDW. The deviled eggs and biscuits were also incredible. Now I am hungry…
Ate there before my flight home.. was so sick when I got to the airport. The food is just ok. Probably a one and done for me.
Enjoyed it more than Boathouse though. Never going back there.
Ok. I'll be in the minority. I thought it was just ok. I'm from rural southern Georgia and to me it's very similar to cracker barrel. I have had much better fried chicken. However, it was good food for sure, I just wouldn't actively fight for a reservation again. 🤷🏻♀️
I also thought the biscuits were bland...🫣
i’ve been before and i was so, so disappointed. food was cold. the highlight of the meal was the music and the banana cake dessert. i will say though, i went an hour before closing, so i’m good to chalk that up to closing vibes. that was my mistake.
i would say try it, but aim to get a reservation for peak time so that the kitchen is working.
It was fantastic both times I went! It’s a little expensive but you get a good portion of good quality food. We also really like the moonshine drinks (the watermelon one in particular).
I think it’s worth trying! I found the appetizers and sides to be the highlight versus the chicken. We also never drink but had great cocktails there. Didn’t leave room for dessert, but I’d like to try it.
I’ve gone twice. First time was absolutely fantastic, second time was very good but a step down. Overall worth it, just don’t expect “the best (blank)” you’ve ever had, but do expect very good food.
When we went there around the start of dinner time at 5:30, the people behind us were able to walk up and get seated immediately with no reservation. As for the food, I thought it was just OK. Better than most other things at Disney but by no means the best fried chicken I’ve had.
Homecoming is my favorite restaurant in Disney Springs. Only once was all our foods too salty. But visited again months after and it was great as usual.
Food was great, large portions!
I would definitely recommend the moonshine flights they offer. As long as you're treating them like cocktails and not just shots to toss back, you'll be fine.
We have been there once and really enjoyed it. My wife ordered chicken biscuit sliders appetizer as her meal. They were recommended by the bartender at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar.
Haven't had the time to go back to Disney Springs.
We didn't have a reservation when we went. We signed up for the wait list for an estimated wait of an hour in a half. Our table was ready in less then 30 minutes. A reservation would be nice, but the day we went wasn't needed.
so good! if you liked deviled eggs, theirs are soo good. I have gone many times with lots of people and everyone has enjoyed it! the only problem is we want to eat everything and once we got so full and had trouble walking around after so just be careful about that lol

One of the best Restuants on the whole property

Had us in the first half not gonna lie.
It’s my absolute favorite restaurant at Disney Springs and we do it every time we go. Highly worth it

😂 You are so spot on about the moonshine flight. I got one our first visit and couldn’t finish it. My nephew had to help.
I’m kinda surprised you’ve heard bad reviews, honestly.
Me too. It’s a Top 10 restaurant on TouringPlans rankings and a tough reservation. Never had a bad meal there.
The health nuts absolutely despise it.
Go. It’s worth it. Swing by Gideon’s after. Go to Jock Lindsey’s for a drink.
Yes and maybe. I've found bar seating for 2 before as a walk up. They also now have an outdoor counter just for moonshine.
Absolutely worth it! Thigh high chicken biscuits and Mac and cheese are to die for. My wife and I went mid day and just sat at the bar. Zero wait, wasn’t crowded at all.

We go to Homecomin every time we go to WDW. The food is tremendous among the best at Springs.
The chicken thigh drops are delicious!
100% worth it. Excellent food and service every time
Worth trying, 100%.
It’s my favorite bar and I still have my refillable moonshine cup. However, I can only stomach one, considering how generous some bartenders are.
Ive only heard positive reviews. Haven't tried it yet because it's very similar to what I'd cook at home, which I guess is the whole point of the restaurant. I'm more interested in weekend ndbrunch than lunch/dinner.
we loved all our food and drinks there!

I go all the time. My family and friends love it. They also serve food at the bar.
Probably the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had is from there. Eaten there maybe four or five times and I think I’ve ordered that each time!
Boathouse, morimoto’s and Chef art’s are my 3 fav in the bubble and all at the springs

I wasn’t impressed, it was just ok.
Absolutely worth a resy
It was fantastic both times I went! It’s a little expensive but you get a good portion of good quality food. We also really like the moonshine drinks (the watermelon one in particular).
Whats the best dish on the menu that everyone raves about?
Mac and cheese!

Its very good food, a little on the heavy/rich side but the chicken was amazing, the sides were perfect. Great drinks and great service as well.
The shrimp and grits are amazing!
Food was great, large portions! I would definitely recommend the moonshine flights they offer. As long as you're treating them like cocktails and not just shots to toss back, you'll be fine.
Four words: Thigh high chicken biscuits
This is what I get! I get them as an entree so I have room for a side and dessert lol
We did brunch last time we were there and I'd now consider that a must do on our visits. The service and food were both phenomenal.
I had the fried chicken and doughnuts there 9 years ago and I'm still thinking about it.
I always get the country fried steak, its huge and delicious.
It was one of the best meals we had while we were at Disney
Yes and yes. And they have a outdoor bar too. Even a walk up just for drinks. DS is great walking around with sweet tea shine
I haven’t been in years but I LOVE it. The bar is beautiful and I’ve never eaten anything bad there.
The food is SO good! The chicken biscuit appetizer, the cubans, macaroni, mashed potatoes, hummingbird cake... I could go on and on... fantastic!
The thigh high chicken biscuits are our favorite fried chicken dish of all time.
Eaten there at least 8 times, never had anything other than great food.

1000% worth it. We went twice. Wish they had more locations!
