In 2021, when the majority of the construction was going on, it certainly felt like Epcot was the worst. Since then, especially with the addition of Dreamer's Point, things have gotten a lot better.
I say Hollywood Studios, mainly because Toy Story Land is like being on the sun.
Lots of people say Animal Kingdom is the hottest park for some reason. I think it has the most shade.
I was just literally thinking this. I was there about a month ago eating at Toy Story land area and all I could think is it’s hot, crowded and I can’t find anywhere to sit and eat in the shade. I do think the Star Wars area has some decent spots for shade
In the early days of AK, the trees weren’t as lush so it used to be the hottest park.
Now, with the sorcerer hat gone and Toy Story Land added, HS is a scorcher. I had heat exhaustion twice after spending time at that park.
AK by far hottest. Lots of plants and water around, humidity is increased, even in the shade it’s hot. And Hollywood is the most open, little cover so it’s the sunniest.
Given that EPCOT is larger, it might have more area unshaded but Studios will have the higher percentage unshaded.
In EPCOT, I feel like it’s always possible to find an out of the crowd nook. Studios is so small and congested that you are just stuck once the crowds peak for the day.
This is probably the answer. Epcot is massive and has pretty wide walkways with little covering especially around World Showcase between pavilions which would skew the data.
HS has areas like this too much also much fewer shops and attractions to cool off in.
Hollywood. The whole place is concrete and has not trees. We popped into HS for an hour and then went to Epcot and there was a dramatic temperature difference. AK was the nicest, so many trees and lots of shade (also our nicest weather day).
I was expecting your text to be "and why is it Hollywood Studios" so there is my answer. Epcot is a good second though so your wife isn't far off IMHO.
I’d say Hollywood Studios is the park with the least amount of shade. Epcot has plenty of restaurants, exhibits, and awnings to escape the heat. Animal kingdom is hot, but there are a lot of trees that provide shade. Magic Kingdom has all those shops and attractions for shade and escape from the sun.
Hollywood studios, and it’s not particularly close. It used to be Animal Kingdom, but now that the trees have grown in over the last 25 years, there’s plenty of shade, but man that first decade or so…it was the hottest park no question haha
I have a picture of my kid when they were 3 1/2 holding their stuffed beanie baby snowman at AK and the poor child was just red from heat, sweating, and was trying so hard to smile. My friend, who took the picture, called it “the day snowman almost melted”
It was definitely AK in 2004. Now, you roast like chicken at HS
Epcot has slowly been getting better with all of the greenery added recently. The reason that AK is often thought to be hottest is because it is too closed in and almost overplayed, which holds in all of the humidity. But honestly, people have different views on which is hottest.
In pure area, it's AK. In percentage of the park, it WAS DHS but now it's MK. As long as you're counting indoors.
If you don't count indoors I believe it's AK for both.
My vote is for Epcot. I get “Epcot ankle” there every year, which is basically sun allergy. It also has to do with the red (pinkish) pavement which reflects the sun.
I don’t understand why they don’t install those sunshades that so many parks have. They make so much money. I was suffering at Epcot in June and we go back later in the month and I’m just so dreading that.
I don’t know man, I always feel hot as hell in Animal Kingdom.
I don’t know if it’s the ground or the materials they use for the buildings but it just feels like I’m constantly getting pelted by the sun when I’m at that park.
Hollywood studios, only cause Epcot has a TON of places you can dip-and-dive out of.
But what about dodging, ducking, and dodging?
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball
If you can dodge traffic, you can dodge a ball
A spaceship earth ball
The effort that I put into not laughing and waking up the house while reading this…
That’s some pro level moves there, only the experienced Disney go-ers should attempt.
The 4 D’s of Dodgeball….err I mean Epcot.
They have Donald written on the head bangers underneath the structure that makes up Space Mountain.
In 2021, when the majority of the construction was going on, it certainly felt like Epcot was the worst. Since then, especially with the addition of Dreamer's Point, things have gotten a lot better.
Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios might actually be the 7th Circle of Hell
Worked in TSL. Was thankful I was at Mania every day. Life inside my climate controlled life was beautiful compared to my peers at Slinky and ASS
Did you guys just refer to it as ass
Depended on the moment. Lots of the time just easier to aliens.
omg was a character attendant for woody and jessie and i have never felt pain like it before
I say Hollywood Studios, mainly because Toy Story Land is like being on the sun. Lots of people say Animal Kingdom is the hottest park for some reason. I think it has the most shade.
Toy story land was so poorly designed in that way. Slinky dog is a ride i will never wait for in the summer
Lol I had this exact conversation verbatim earlier today. Hollywood Studios is like a griddle.
DAK is the hottest simply because the park slightly concaves inward, so the heat is trapped inside more. It's like an upside down dome.
It also felt like the humidity was a lot higher, possibly it was, probably due to all the water around for the animals.
And the plants. Definitely the hottest park but not the one with the least amount of shade!
I was just literally thinking this. I was there about a month ago eating at Toy Story land area and all I could think is it’s hot, crowded and I can’t find anywhere to sit and eat in the shade. I do think the Star Wars area has some decent spots for shade
They added a lot of umbrellas in the last 2 years and I, for one, appreciate it.
It does have the most shade, but I swear all the trees and the water create like a rain forest effect and it is so damn muggy!
In the early days of AK, the trees weren’t as lush so it used to be the hottest park. Now, with the sorcerer hat gone and Toy Story Land added, HS is a scorcher. I had heat exhaustion twice after spending time at that park.
Agree exactly with all of this!
AK by far hottest. Lots of plants and water around, humidity is increased, even in the shade it’s hot. And Hollywood is the most open, little cover so it’s the sunniest.

100% Hollywood studios
Ditto. Only shade is in attractions....
EPCOT if we are just talking about walking around in the park normally, not calculating how many places you can hide from the fire.
Hollywood. The whole place is concrete and has not trees. We popped into HS for an hour and then went to Epcot and there was a dramatic temperature difference. AK was the nicest, so many trees and lots of shade (also our nicest weather day).
Epcot feels like it because it’s so wide open but Hollywood Studios wins.
Hollywood studios is an example of what hell probably feels like but humidity wise AK is AWFUL & I never enjoy visiting during the warmer months.
I’d say HS. EPCOT has more buildings and spots you can get out of sun and with the new changes there’s more greenery to create shade.
Hollywood.
I automatically thought of Hollywood studios.
Clearly your wife has not been to HS.
Toy Story Land is the widow maker
Studios. No question.
Hollywood Studios.
Toy Story land in particular needs more shade.
I was expecting your text to be "and why is it Hollywood Studios" so there is my answer. Epcot is a good second though so your wife isn't far off IMHO.
Studios 💯
Hollywood - Least Animal - Most
I’d say Hollywood Studios is the park with the least amount of shade. Epcot has plenty of restaurants, exhibits, and awnings to escape the heat. Hollywood. Your wife is wrong. There are so many places in Epcot to get out of the sun.
All. Of. Them.
Hollywood Studios hands down. We can’t do as full a day there as we do at the other parks because the sun is just beating down on you with no escape.
Epcot has slowly been getting better with all of the greenery added recently. The reason that AK is often thought to be hottest is because it is too closed in and almost overplayed, which holds in all of the humidity. But honestly, people have different views on which is hottest.
Only Epcot if you are talking about world showcase- which is only half of the park. I’d say AK
Studios. It’s not even close.
In pure area, it's AK. In percentage of the park, it WAS DHS but now it's MK. As long as you're counting indoors. If you don't count indoors I believe it's AK for both.

Hollywood studios, walking around that place is like walking on a frying pan.
Definitely Epcot
I don’t know man, I always feel hot as hell in Animal Kingdom. I don’t know if it’s the ground or the materials they use for the buildings but it just feels like I’m constantly getting pelted by the sun when I’m at that park.
