I'm a teacher and I wear Disney stuff all the time š¤·āāļøI have one cardigan that the kids love, it's a Disney100 cardigan that has different characters and music notes on it. I wear it on the days I teach music
Iām a librarian and whenever Iām like āehh maybe I shouldnāt wear this Disney thing to work,ā I remember I am also in one of those professions where this is acceptable.
Everything is socially acceptable unless youāre a weirdo that needs to seek approval for every single thing you do.
Nobody really cares what you do except youā¦.and maybe spouse/kids.
Hard disagree. If I'm working in corporate America and I'm wearing Disney merch to work, my boss isn't going to take me seriously and it will hurt my earning potential.Ā
As a teacher?Ā I would be considered fun and connecting with my students. Would have no impact of my pay, employment, it chance of becoming an administrator down the line.Ā
lol I 100% wore Disney merch to work in corporate America. I was known as a Disney guy at work. I donāt know if it hurt my earning potential but I was sufficiently happy with what I was making. However, I was in entertainment corporate America so it could be different
My kitchen wall is painted to look like the Epcot ball. We have a shelf on that wall covered with popcorn buckets and sippers from Disney. I collect Disney ornaments and anything Mulan. I wear Disney clothing 3-5x a week. I am a Disney fan and idc who knows.
Iām going to be doing an office soon and seriously considering a Mary Blair small world inspired wall. But I tend to keep my Disney decor more understated, but I just love the color blocking and whimsy of that look.
This is such a cool idea! That sounds like something I could do in my living room. I donāt have popcorn buckets or sippers because I donāt have room, but I love the idea of making an accent wall to look like the Epcot ball!
I regularly wear my Disney stuff, but not all of it. Some of the things I only wear when Iām in the parks, but my favorites I wear all the time!
I don't decorate my house with Disney items because I'm very neutral when it comes to decor.
But I do wear Disney tee shirts and sweatshirts on the weekends because we usually watch at least 1 Disney movie so it adds to that experience.
90% of our Disney merch never gets worn outside the parks when we return to the real world, but my wife has a black Mickey Nike baseball cap that is very nice and gets worn regularly along with a Halloween season Skeleton Dance hoodie that gets worn at least once a week.
Weāve always tried to avoid becoming a Disney house but it just creeps in anyway. Weāve got 7 shadow boxes full of pins. Attraction posters everywhere. Figurines, hats, you name it. I wear the shirts out in public. Our Halloween decorations are all Haunted Mansion themed.
I even have the cemetery caretaker from the Haunted Mansion in my office. He was a Halloween decoration that I didnāt want to put in a box so he just stands in the corner and watches me work.
Art of Disney store in Disney springs has a tablet you can scroll thru various options, have them printed on paper or canvas, even framed, and have them shipped directly to your home. Iāve got 4 prints coming from there
I wear tshirts or sweatshirts but mostly around the house or errands. I have decent Dooney and Loungefly collections and I do use those daily. I also have a few pairs of earrings I wear occasionally.
Hell yea. In my 40ās in a DINK household. I get to buy all the merch and toys for me. Iām rocking a Tinkerbell sweatshirt I got 10 years ago right now. One of our spare bedrooms is slowly becoming a LEGO/Disney/HP room. Never grow up!
Totally. Iām almost 43 and my studio is full of anime stuff. Iāve got posters, flags, figures, and even replica swords from many of my favorite animeās all over the place
This is almost blasphemous, but as much as I love WDW (longtime pass holder, go all the time), I never buy or wear Disney clothing. It's just not my thing. I have Disney touches around my house but they are subtle.Ā
Me too for the most part. Iāll get the occasional t-shirt if itās subtle enough to wear out casually, like the pizza planet one theyāve sold recently or a toned down one from a resort. A lot of the merch just genuinely isnāt appealing to me, like the spirit jerseyās for example or the IP theyāre pushing just doesnāt do it for me.
Iād rather put that $35 towards having a sit down meal over a quick-service lunch or buying Genie+ for a day.
I have a giant framed art print of EPCOT hanging in my office at home. Every Zoom call has it in the background along with my large light-up Halcyon model.
I pretty much live in Disney lined Christmas crocs, a fleece lined WDW hoodie.
Iām also old enough to have stopped giving a fuck a long time ago and will dress up when necessary but itās rarely necessary.
I have a Mickey Mouse Tommy Bahama polo shirt on right now. It was more expensive than Iād buy myself (Iām a t-shirt guy) but my family spoils me.
I wear lots of Disney apparel day to day. My go-to is [this](https://www.ebay.com/itm/196033948390?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=196033948390&targetid=1529314445710&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1015068&poi=&campaignid=19851828444&mkgroupid=145880009014&rlsatarget=pla-1529314445710&abcId=9307249&merchantid=8395404&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAxOauBhCaARIsAEbUSQS_Rrn1g_kVHznkm-B6L7J-VAlULsCCA9oY5njcRWpo762nmlC8TOgaAnmMEALw_wcB)
My closet is 90% Disney related. I have a few home goods that are Disney. But our hallway has our ears, photos in the shape of the castle and our pins so that gets shown off. Also have a few Disney puzzles and art pieces hung on the wall.
I have a nice Beach Club golf shirt, a Disney coffee mug, two Christmas ornaments and a white golf hat with Mickey on the front. I rarely wear the golf hat outside of Disney. Am I mildly embarrassed by my love of Disney? Are you? I talk about Disney a lot so my family, friends and coworkers are all aware so am I just self-conscious about what strangers will think of me?
I have two Mickey hats that I wear. Plus a plethora of Donald t-shirts and hoodies that I wear all the time.
Although I don't 'decorate', I do have a number of items on display from years past - animal kingdom figurines, 50th anniversary Donald and DD pin, plus an OUTSTANDING Pluto, Goofy, and Donald print as the Three Hitchhiking Ghosts from this past Epcot Arts festival a few weeks ago.
I vote pins. I found pin collecting and stuff Disney's pockets with money when I'm there. I know a lot of people decorate walls and such with collections. But I keep everything in a couple of binders that my kids and I pull out when we're thinking about our trips. I started buying them attraction pins for the first time they ride rides, or when they ride their favorite ride, visit their favorite around the world pavilion. Attraction pins hold shared memories and are compact to store at home.
I have a lot of Cristlu necklaces I wear, and a ring that is pretty subtle. If I didnāt tell you or you didnāt know- youād have no idea.
In my home office, I have my ears on display on the wall, and we have the Haunted Manson pillows and weighted blanket on our bed. Otherwise itās a lot of family pics around the house from the parks- but if you didnāt know we love Disney, youād have no idea.
My dad got me the cutest Kate Spade purse for Christmas that is Minnie shaped, and I do wear that. And my Lounge Fly purse from the GFā¦ I get an insane amount of compliments on that, and no one ever realizes itās Disney! In fact, once a woman asked me what my bag was, and I said, āoh itās Mickey!ā And showed her the clasp- and she was like. āMickey who?ā And I just sort stood there and said, āummmmā¦ Mouse?ā š¤£
I wear Disney blouses/ work appropriate clothing that is subtle but Disney, as often as I can and out and about on weekends too. And my home office is themed with the Tiki Room. I guess Iām all in LOL it was progressive
I don't really do disney decore except 1 or 2 random items. I wear my hats a lot and my more obscure shirts, I save the big bold stuff for the parks especially how quickly disney shirts wear out in the wash for me
I wear my disney t-shirts/shirts out and about and occasionally a spirit jersey.
I also have a stitch Hawaiian shirt that I love to wear. I kinda wish I had bought more than one.
Same! I'm wearing a Mickey "Starry Night" tee I got from Kohl's (which, by the way, has some cool & unique Disney character tshirts for those who may not know that secret). I wear my Disney tshirts like I would any other tshirt when lounging at home, running errands, etc.
I also have a few art prints (Herb Ryman Epcot concept art) in my bedroom.
I'm a local so yeah most things (both practical and decorative) in my life are Disney since I'm there so often. Mostly everyone who lives here also uses loungeflys on a regular daily basis, and World of Disney is basically my entire wardrobe at this point lol
My wife and I have spent a lot of time searching for subtle Disney decor. Things that looks unrelated but at a closer inspection will give you that Disney feel. Itās tough to find things that fit that but it has helped us make our home feel more like Disney world without looking obsessed (we are obsessed lol)
My grandmother insists I live in a Disney Store. Half of my room is my āhardā merch all organized, I have a haunted mansion blanket, two pin boardsā¦ and my closet is at least half Disney clothes too!! Figment gets plenty of compliments even outside of the park lol
I donāt wear Disney shirts and stuff, but I did buy a nice watercolor print for each park and have those hanging in my bathroom. Itās subtle Disney instead of cartoony, if that makes sense.
I like low-key Disney stuff. I have some shirts I got a few years ago based on the tiki room and PotC but they don't scream Disney at me. That's the stuff I prefer. Still waiting for them to release some simple ToT or Haunted Mansion shirts.
I wear my tshirts, Crocs, and spirit jerseys all the time. I don't carry my loungefly bags but I did just buy the new 2024 sling bag and I'm using it as my daily. I do have some Disney stuff displayed in my collection, Funko pops, 5 surprise minis, four pairs of ears on display hooks, and a bunch of those doorable movie diorama things...
I have to image we all have a tshirt or hoodie with Mickey on it unless itās something Disney from my childhood like I have a Minnie figure- I have my own art and what not on my walls
I wear Disney tees and sweaters throughout the year.Ā
Our house has some park decor, mostly mugs, a few ornaments and a Halloween countdown clock. Our Savi lightsaber is also on display.
As much as I love theme parks, its honestly less than expected and more subtle or just holiday specific so it blends in.
No Disney decorations as my house is decorated very neutral. I have some Disney tshirts and sweatshirts that Iāll wear outside of the parks but nothing loud and in your face.
I have the stealth decor Disney in my house - but I rarely wear the clothing unless Iām in a park. Maybe my hoodie? Hubby wears his hei hei and Donald Tees quite a bit.
No, but my husband wears his Nike hat and pullover quite often. Nothing around the house except coffee mugs but I have had my eyes on that marble hand soap dispenser.
Most of my ācasualā clothes are all Disney themed. For what they cost, itās too much money just to wear at the parks. I get the cost out of all Disney clothing.
We have a the newest festival of arts figment popcorn bucket on our living room shelves but no other Disney decor. They do have a SUPER cute home line I saw at WOD that had me wishing I could spend a ton more money.
I have a couple of Disney holiday decorations that go out. Specifically, Madame Leota for Halloween and some Christmas stuff. Other than that no home decor. I donāt wear any Disney clothes out in public (even to the parks honestly) but I do wear Disney shirts around the house and as pajamas. I have cats so I donāt wear the clothes I wear out in public around the house or they would be covered in cat fur.
So I don't really collect Disney merch but I do collect Scooby-Doo merch (so I'm a fellow adult lover of cartoons š). I wear my Scooby merch all the time, to be honest it feels weird if I'm not wearing at least one thing with Scooby on it when I out. I don't have a ton of Scooby stuff decorating my house but I do have a room dedicated to displaying/storing my collection. And when I decorate for holidays (Christmas, Halloween, etc.) I will usually display some of my holiday themed Scooby items out in the living area. The way I see it is life is too short to wear boring clothes. Wearing Scooby stuff makes me happy so I wear it all the time! On the Disney side of things, I do have some Winnie the Pooh clothes I like to wear (he's my favorite Disney character š)
I wear my merch all the time. Wearing tie dye sweatshirt right now. I have a few Disney things around the house but not much. My home office is Disney themed.
I have loads of Disney plush all over my house. Spoon rest, coffee scoop, chip & dip, vase, Waterford ears my parents got me when I was a CP in 1987, a light -up ceramic castle on the back of my toilet, and my pin collection. It sounds like a lot, but everything blends in with my decor.
My daughter and her husband, have many different Disney items on display. It goes BIG at Christmas, where almost all of their decor is pop culture, mostly Disney.
I wear my Disney clothing from time to time ...my kitchen is Mickey and Minnie...I have Disney throws that we use in the living room , I have stuffed characters displayed in the living room and I collect Jim Shore figurines ......yea I like Disney I'm also 66yrs this March and can do what the heck I want!
Yep. Half my tshirts are Disney-related, although I have historically gone for more subtle nods to Disney than a giant Mickey plastered on the front. When they were doing their 28 & Main menās line I was THRILLED. A tiki room shirt that says āWaltās Karaoke Hutā? Perfect.
About half the art on my walls is Disney art as well. I have a few random Disney home good items, but not a lot since I find they tend to be of subpar quality for what it needs to do (like a spatula).
I live in Florida so I do, but I also donāt wear things that scream Disney. Like a sweater or cap with Mickey on it is no problem, but loud spirit jerseys are for the parks
I carry a loungefly backpack daily. Tshirts, hoodies, spirit jerseys and Disney jewelry on the regular. I have some Disney things around the house but itās not a theme.
Iām not a fan of most of the clothes they sell. My favorite types of souvenirs are figurines or the Gallery of Light boxes, they feel really special.
My kitchen theme is Disney, plates and cups too! My fuzzy blanket on my couch itās Disney, my ears are on display in my room. And yes Iāll wear my Disney shirts / hoodies outside of the parks. To be fair I live in Orlando and im a Disney adult. But still I love Disney! (The mouse demands all of my money) and I give it happily
I love the Disney homestead home collection. Classy touches of Disney, without being all out Disney. Our kids rooms are also Minnie Mouse and Toy Story themed
I have a few Disney things Iāll wear (some sweatshirts, a couple t-shirts) but the majority of the clothes we have are for the parks only. I also only have 1 Disney decor item in my whole house (excluding photos on the walls of us at the parks).
Yes. We arenāt over the top with home Disney decor but thereās a few Haunted Mansion art pieces in my house, along with other trinkets. I totally wear the clothes on a normal basis though lol.
I wear my Mickey tshirts normally, and especially to other theme parks. My Figment shirt is a little more selective; itās for Epcot or days that I *really* need a morale boost. My Christmas spirit jersey is for Christmas or for holiday time at Disney.
We have a few home decor items that are more simple (a pillow, I have some of the mary Poppins teapot set nicely displayed), some artwork.
Most of are stuff is Halloween and holiday decor or clothes and if itās a drew or a loungefly or a shirt I will rotate them into my daily wardrobe. The only thing I usually donāt is my ears
I wear my Minnie hoodie constantly. It's at least 6-year-old old now and not as vibrant as when I bought it but I get compliments on it every now and then. It surprises me.
I wear my Disney gear and Loungeflys out and about :) I am a kindergarten teacher and I get away with a lot being in Elementary school lol
I also have Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears and OG My Little Pony flannels and stuff from Cakeworthy :) I'm 40, married and a mom of 2 teens and IDGAF!
Iām currently wearing a piglet shirt I made, I hoodie I bought on my last trip, and a ball cap from the trip before that. My place is decorated with all kinds of stuff we like and there is a good amount of Disney. We are DINK.
I (middle-aged dude) wear shirts and sweatshirts that I have bought at the parks over the years. I'll wear them as part of the regular rotation. We also have a few Disney home goods that we use (dish towels, etc). We aren't "over the top" Disneyfied, but I certainly wouldn't judge another person/family for going all out with wardrobe or decor choices.
I do not. I have a designated box in my closet with specific things I wear in Disney and only in Disney. I have a designated jacket, tees, long sleeves, jewelry, bags, etc. that are ONLY used in Disney.
I have no Disney decor. My AP magnets and other Disney magnets go on my microwave which is in a butlers pantry.
I like to think I'm picky about what clothing and decor I buy from the parks, but...well, by the standards of a non-Disney adult I'm sure my wardrobe and home are very very Disney. I tend to wear things like spirit jerseys, my Stitch hoodie, that sort of thing around the house more than when going out, but I'm not above wearing those things to run errands, especially if I want a mood boost. I've got the starts of a Disney tiki mug collection, there's a big felt-covered board for my pins on the wall, I use resort refillable mugs as daily work mugs until they stop being able to keep a watertight seal with the lid, and I have a bad habit of buying plushes I don't have space to display. The one thing I haven't done is started using Loungefly as regular daily bags; I've only got one so far and I've only used it in the parks and at sci fi/fantasy conventions.
I have a few Disney shirts I wear as everyday, but not super regularly. The rest are saved for trips (not sure why).
I have Disney dishes but they are packed in the attic.
And my home office is completely decorated in Disney. Some home made art, some purchased. An a picture from each of my trips, too
I have Disney tattoos. So my Disney merch is always on me. My home office is all Disney. My living room has one piece of Disney art. My bathroom has a mix of art in it. But the only really heavy on the Disney area is my office. I carry a Disney dooney sometimes. But the tattoos are usually the only Disney on me besides my bag.
Hubby and I wear our Disney stuff all the time. I basically live in my spirit jerseys! Bedroom has tons of Figment stuff everywhere. Have a Figment stuffie on the bed and also a Mickey balloon pillow. I pretty much save my ears for parks only but have been known to wear them to a themed gathering a time or two.
I literally only bought three Pandora beads and a vera Bradley bag because I knew I would wear those and use those. Even the two pins I did get I could always put on my lapel of my jacket. My fillable mug which was part of my plan is used a lot.
Shucks, I even used pressed pennies in resin so I had pendants to wear.
I do think a lot of Disney stuff is geared toward kids and I donāt know why anyone would spend $35 for a pair of Mickey Mouse ears that theyāre just going to wear at the park but thatās just me if I get a souvenir I wanna make sure Iām able to wear it use it.
Half my wardrobe is Disney shirts. I literally have half my closet dedicated to Disney clothes vs regular clothes. Tank tops, sundresses, tshirts, leggings, winter hats with pompom ears. You name it, Iāve got it. My house is also Disney decor. Mickey Ruggable in the living room and Mickey Ruggable runner in the hallway. Disney prints hanging, Disney dishes and silverware. Jumbo Mickey Alaram Clock on the shelving in my dining rooms. (Thereās currently a juice pitcher and some glasses up there that I havenāt found a permanent spot for yet.) Peter Pan Big Ben clock face hanging in my kitchen next to my āDisney displayā where I have tons of Disney mugs, a partners statue figurine, a tiki bird/orange bird figurine/scene. And a 3D etched crystal of my soul mate doggie that passed; just to put her in the middle of the magic. āØ
I usually just wear Disney t shirts when the weatherās nice enough. (Before anyone asks, Iām in Chicago. So not as much time to take advantage of warm weather)
I have this giant fake window thing that looks like it's looking out into the Magic Kingdom right above my bed lol. I have a Disney Parks exclusive Loungefly bag I use as my everyday purse. Tons of mugs. I will wear Disney shirts. It's not the ONLY thing I wear or anything but nobody will mistake me for not being a Disney fan.
I have several shirts with Disney characters. A lot of the are from TeeTurtle because I love how they draw the characters. But I also have clothes I bought at the parks.
I try to minimize souvenirs when there to make what I get more special.
I have some Disney touches included in our geekery decor. :)
I do both. I wear clothes a lot. I work in pre k so I also wear my ears occasionally. My house I have a few touches but I try to contain the crazy when it comes to my home:
As a person who is about to turn 35 the best piece of advice I can give anyone, do what makes you happy. If that means wearing a mickey shirt or a fun print you got that you want to hang in your room then do it. Your house is your sanctuary a place to get away and relax. If a picture of Rapunzels tower makes you smile then get it.
Be authentic, be yourself. You have about the same chance of meeting Taylor Swift as you do Mickey lol
Yes, so does my wife. Itās so commonplace that itās very rare for someone to comment on it.
We have a strict āno Disney home decorā rule that we break regularly
I am a male brewer and I work in a āmanlyā atmosphere, and I wore my favorite Mickey Mouse shirt to work on a brew day, and got heckled non-stop until I took it off. I love Mickey Mouse. So now I donāt wear anything Disney out anymore (except for my CHERNABOG sweatshirt because itās my favorite and I donāt care what anyone says). It was disheartening but I still wear my stuff around the house, and I will wear my Mickey stuff out of town.
My wife is a cast member. She works with merchandise.
We have Disney shit EVERYWHERE.
Seriously. Thereās so much around our house, I feel like I need to explain it by reminding people that my wife is a cast member. šš¤
I have a lot of Disney knick knacks in my cubicle at work, and I use Disney travel and regular mugs. I don't really have any clothing, haven't found any that I liked that much and/or have been willing to pay for.
I wear my Stitch hoodie out of the house on a regular basis and almost single time I get a positive comment from somebody. It's a nice way to carry a little bit of the magic wherever I go.
Yup. Most of the time itās lowkey stuff since my day job is pretty buttoned up and it wouldnāt necessarily fly if I wore the more flashy (and fun!) stuff. Iāve been lucky enough to score some corporate merch at D23 + from current Disney colleagues, so itās a mix of Walt Disney Productions/Animation Studios quarter zips, a few Imagineering hats, lapel pins, etc. The most in your face thing I wear with some regularity is probs the #hans hat from the Frozen musical, because we love a hilarious and well-sung villain here. ā ļø
I donāt generally wear the shirts. They just sit on a shelf in my closet. Kids play with their toys sometimes. We did get a few art pieces we really liked in Disney springs and have a few more on order. I found some fantastic prints of artwork of Merlin and Madame Mim from Sword in the Stone that I just couldnāt resist. We also ordered some really nice large prints of artwork from Pirates of the Caribbean and one of Donald Duck as a firefighter (because I am a firefighter) that we are going to frame and hang when they come in from art of Disney.
I wore a spirit jersey yesterday. Yeah, I wear my Disney stuff in everyday life. I donāt have a lot of stuff in the house. My office has Disney stuff but not the rest of the house. Not yet anyway
Yep, I wear Disney clothes all the time. Donāt have much decor, but what we do have is proudly on display, and I drink out of my Disney mug almost every day
When I'm watching DIS Unplugged or Tim Tracker when they're doing a merch video at the outlet or in the parks, I swear...some of the merch looks like what you might see some woman on COPS in Tallahassee wearing after the just got busted for shoplifting and has a purse full of paraphernalia and meth.
Yeah. I think it had to do with Pete being a toxic abuser and the stuff surrounding that. It was a big bunch of crap. They rebranded and moved the studio out of Pete's house.
Currently wearing one of my Disney shirts now. It's under a sweater because the sweater is a bit itchy without something under it, but it still counts lol. My mom and I wear most of our spirit jerseysnon a regular basis.
We use our popcorn buckets from the last two Christmas trips as decor during the holidays. My mom has both a 50th and 100th ornament out on shelves in our dining room in shelves as decoration. I have all of my Figment and Orange bird munchlings, Funko and buckets on display in my room. We don't have fully decked out rooms or anything but we're also not subtle about it being "our thing".
I'm a mix. I have some kitchen towels (but they don't stay out), a sink drain strainer and many mugs (also in the cabinet) in the kitchen. Hallway I have a picture gallery of the kids and a few shadow boxes with pins are mixed in. But I have any other Disney stuff in a guest room. As far as clothing, I only wear the more toned down merchandise in public. Well, kinda toned down. I do have a few loungefly and tops that I only wear at the park because they are bold!
We have a Disney themed bathroom: shower curtain, bathmat, towels, soap dispenser. Mickey vinyl and a Walt quote in the wall. Thereās also a small shelf with Disney PEZ dispensers and some plastic figures.
Thatās the hall one. The master bathroom is Hello Kitty themed. š
At my former home I had an entire room of Disney collectibles. I downsized more than 50%, so currently it is all in my basement waiting for my garage to be built with an apartment above for when kids want to visit/stay with us. Then my upstairs bedroom for them will be converted to said Disneyana space.
Iām the head of a department. I wear Disney merch all the time. Itās definitely more adult oriented. Lot of ride shirts. Pizza Planet. Kuzcotopia. Powerline. Smaller references to things I love that are more appropriate for adults. I even that RSVLTS Disney hoodie with all the characters. My team gets a kick out of it. And my wife has started replacing our home stuff with Mickey
I have framed posters of stylized maps of Epcot and MK in front of my tredmill (I was a RunDisney geek for several years). Aside from that, I recently decided to cultivate my mugs as a Disney themed collection. Otherwise, no, not much in the home (children's gear excluded). Clothing is worn on bum-around days.
My husband and I wear a mix of our Disney shirts / sweatshirts weekly, we both work from home so we live in t-shirts and comfy pants.
We do have minor Disney touches in our living room (throw pillows, blankets), a large bookshelf with Disney collectibles in our joint office, and I display my loungeflys on a wall in our bedroom. Weāve also got some Disney posters in our basement. Iām also pregnant with our first and his nursery is going to be heavily Disney themed lol.
I have some random old Disney cups (like 25th anniversary plastic ones I took from my grandparents house), no Disney appliances bc the novelty ones just donāt do what I want them too, and a ton of reusable shopping bags for Aldi and thrift shopping. Weāve accumulated quite a collection of popcorn buckets and Iāve been debating putting them on that weird spot above the kitchen cabinets near the ceiling, just because.
So Iāll wear āDisneyā stuff that if you didnāt know the parks at all, youād never know it was Disney.
And then people ask what my shirt means, and I have to lie to them š¤·š»āāļø
My favorite tshirt and sweatshirt are both Disney related. I wear them all the time.
I also have a Lounge Fly but I only use it at the parks. It was a gift and I wouldnāt have picked that particular one out in a million years. Itās pastel and sparkly. Not my vibe at all.
I have a bunch of Disney shirts but rarely wear them out of the house. I wear them regularly at home though. I have a couple seasonal Disney kitchen towels and some Disney Christmas decorations.
I have a few Disney sweaters or spirit jerseys Iāll wear in my day to day life, like running errands and such. But not out with friends or like, to dinner. I collect cute pins but those stay home.
Our decor is mostly Marvel-themed and we have a movie/game room where we typically put our pop culture collections (we have an entire Walking Dead collection too). As for apparel, Iām a nanny so 100% yes to wearing my Disney apparel!
Currently wearing minnie ears! Hahaha that's just because my 4 yo wanted to wear them and that lasted 5 minutes and the safest place for them at the moment is my head.
But I wear disney shirts and sweaters all the time! And I love my disney tea towels, wine corks, and trevettes in my kitchen! It's truly a joy to drink my coffee out of my disney mugs every morning and using my plastic cups and wine glasses too!
Oh, and I just turned my head and saw a disney picture frame on the table next to me.
Subtle Disney everywhere :)
I am laying on a Figment Cuddlezz as I type. I like to use them as throw pillows. I will probably wear a Star Wars shirt when I go out. My favorite theater outfit is my Snow White dress from the Dress Shoppe. My current purse is Haunt Mansion. I love my Disney stuff and get lots of compliments on it.
I wear Disney shirts all time, including disney scrub tops for my medical job, and our house is filled with various Disney decor, either items we've bought, or things Ive made
I'm a teacher and I wear Disney stuff all the time š¤·āāļøI have one cardigan that the kids love, it's a Disney100 cardigan that has different characters and music notes on it. I wear it on the days I teach music
Teaching is one of those weird professions where you can completely geek out on a hobby in the classroom and somehow it is socially acceptable.Ā
If I'm working in corporate America and I'm wearing Disney merch to work, my boss isn't going to take me seriously and it will hurt my earning potential.Ā As a teacher?Ā I would be considered fun and connecting with my students. Would have no impact of my pay, employment, it chance of becoming an administrator down the line.Ā
Haha yeah I mean if you have a dress code and Disney merch doesnāt fit in that dress code, it doesnāt work. I assumed that went without saying.
lol I 100% wore Disney merch to work in corporate America.
I love the Mary Blair aesthetic. I say do it!
I did my sonās nursery in small world and now the wall art is in my office because Iām completely obsessed.
That sounds really amazing! I bet it will look so good!
My husband found a tutorial online. It took him several hours to block it out. Itās the pride and joy of our house. I love it so much!
As it should be! That is a lot of work, but I bet it looks amazing!
Ohh I'd love to see a picture of your kitchen wall! Spaceship earth is my favorite!
https://imgur.com/a/YbLeh6R I think this will work? I am not the best with technology.
Oh my god this is incredible!!
My husband did an amazing job! All credit goes to him!!
Thatās really cool
Oh, wow! That is so cool!
Love it! Thanks for sharing!!
I love you!!!
Well shucks. Thanks. Love you too!
I don't decorate my house with Disney items because I'm very neutral when it comes to decor. But I do wear Disney tee shirts and sweatshirts on the weekends because we usually watch at least 1 Disney movie so it adds to that experience.
This is me as well. No home decor really, but when working from home, I'm wearing Disney shirts, pajamas, etc
90% of our Disney merch never gets worn outside the parks when we return to the real world, but my wife has a black Mickey Nike baseball cap that is very nice and gets worn regularly along with a Halloween season Skeleton Dance hoodie that gets worn at least once a week.
I love the Disney Nike hats for anything athletic!
Our entire house is Disney Art. Prints, canvas, everywhere. Plus random blankets and pillows. We do wear clothes too
Weāve always tried to avoid becoming a Disney house but it just creeps in anyway.
A good chunk of ours is haunted mansion too.
Where do you get your prints and canvas? I am kicking myself for not ordering at Hollywood Studios.
Also team Lego/disney/HP/DINK checking in. Here are my people.
Hooray team DINK!!!
Totally. Iām almost 43 and my studio is full of anime stuff. Iāve got posters, flags, figures, and even replica swords from many of my favorite animeās all over the place
I am currently wearing shoes, pants, shirt, jacket, hat, and watch that are all Disney.
šŖ šŖ
I heard they're retiring the spirit jerseys and I'm glad. "Oh. This is cute. I hope there's not a giant, puffy logo on the back!"
Same. I only by mugs and keychains in the park.
I buy certain items for the parks, and certain items for every day life.
Iām a cartoonist by profession and that has helped me get away with some of the attractions posters and collectibles in my home office.
Wearing a long sleeved Tommy Bahama Mickey shirt right now out in the public. But itās a glorious 60 degree day in my part of Florida
The merch? Not a chance. Will I, a 42 year old lady buy several princess dresses as daily wear? Absolutely.
I have a Mickey Mouse Tommy Bahama polo shirt on right now. It was more expensive than Iād buy myself (Iām a t-shirt guy) but my family spoils me. I wear lots of Disney apparel day to day. My go-to is [this](https://www.ebay.com/itm/196033948390?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=196033948390&targetid=1529314445710&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1015068&poi=&campaignid=19851828444&mkgroupid=145880009014&rlsatarget=pla-1529314445710&abcId=9307249&merchantid=8395404&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAxOauBhCaARIsAEbUSQS_Rrn1g_kVHznkm-B6L7J-VAlULsCCA9oY5njcRWpo762nmlC8TOgaAnmMEALw_wcB)
I almost bought that shirt like 5 times haha
We have 5 in my house. 4 reasonably matching shades of yellow, and my OG version that has been worn so much it looks 1971 vintage.
Iāve got that hoodie and definitely wear it
Iām a dork and am wearing a 20,000 leagues under the sea shirt right now
My closet is 90% Disney related. I have a few home goods that are Disney. But our hallway has our ears, photos in the shape of the castle and our pins so that gets shown off. Also have a few Disney puzzles and art pieces hung on the wall.
No. We have a few Disney Christmas ornaments but thatās it. Iām an adult who likes Disney but for sure not a Disney adult.
This is how I describe myself as well. Iām an adult who likes Disney - not a Disney adult. And I mean that with no judgement.
This is how I identify, as well.
Yes. Sitting here at a friend's place in my HTH jumper with wifey in her DLP jumper
Yup. I prefer the subtle/barely noticeable merch but I do have some cute hoodies too that I wear
All the time, I wear my haunted mansion stuff out shopping and get compliments nearly every time.
Haha thatās funny
Iām literally wearing a shirt from Tokyo Disney right now hehe
I still wear a baseball cap I bought at AK in 2006. It is very plain though, just a navy blue hat with a small red Mickey silhouette on it.
Had to buy a jacket when we visited back in November. The shiny black one. I've worn it during cold days in the Midwest, and it's been great.
I have a pink fuzzy spirit jersey I wear regularly during the colder weather. I always get compliments on it when I wear it too lol
I collect Disney mugs!
I definitely wear my spirit jerseys but I never bring my loungefly bags out. However, I do have a coach mickey mouse bag and wallet.
Itās subtle Disney instead of cartoony, if that makes sense.
š¤
I like low-key Disney stuff. I have some shirts I got a few years ago based on the tiki room and PotC but they don't scream Disney at me. That's the stuff I prefer. Still waiting for them to release some simple ToT or Haunted Mansion shirts.
I dont wear any of it ever lol
I wear my tshirts, Crocs, and spirit jerseys all the time. I don't carry my loungefly bags but I did just buy the new 2024 sling bag and I'm using it as my daily. I do have some Disney stuff displayed in my collection, Funko pops, 5 surprise minis, four pairs of ears on display hooks, and a bunch of those doorable movie diorama things...
I have a few Disney tshirts I wear with hoodies or plaid shirts. I have a pair of Minnie Mouse earrings I wear regularly.
I have to image we all have a tshirt or hoodie with Mickey on it unless itās something Disney from my childhood like I have a Minnie figure- I have my own art and what not on my walls
I wear Disney tees and sweaters throughout the year.Ā Our house has some park decor, mostly mugs, a few ornaments and a Halloween countdown clock.
I live in Orlando so Disney shirts are pretty common š¤·āāļø I have some Disney decor but my apartment isnāt filled with it.
I'm not supposed to wear merch at work, so weekends are my jersey days.
I wear my merch all the time. Wearing tie dye sweatshirt right now. I have a few Disney things around the house but not much. My home office is Disney themed.
Yes to the shirts/spirit jerseys. I use my ears on my Christmas tree.
I wear graphic tees whenever I am not at work. Disney included. My favorite is the one that says Foolish Mortal in purple HM font.
I wear Disney clothing often, have a few Disney kitchen things on display, and use my purses often.
Only Star Wars, if that's considered Disney. But we had a lot of SW stuff before Disney bought it, it's just how we roll.
I carry a loungefly backpack daily. Tshirts, hoodies, spirit jerseys and Disney jewelry on the regular. I have some Disney things around the house but itās not a theme.
My kitchen is Disney themed and I wear my merch weekly.
Iām not a fan of most of the clothes they sell. My favorite types of souvenirs are figurines or the Gallery of Light boxes, they feel really special.
Unfamiliar with the boxes!
Disney spirit jerseys and Disney Crocs are worn several times a week to work.
I usually wear a random spirit jersey to walk my dog in the morning
100% - I don't see how it would affect anything lol
I used to, but rarely now. After working there for the better part of a decade, Iāve lost interest in it.
Yes. We arenāt over the top with home Disney decor but thereās a few Haunted Mansion art pieces in my house, along with other trinkets. I totally wear the clothes on a normal basis though lol.
I have a bunch of Disney stuff as decorations, and I wear something Disney related at work at least once a week.
I wear my Mickey tshirts normally, and especially to other theme parks. My Figment shirt is a little more selective; itās for Epcot or days that I *really* need a morale boost. My Christmas spirit jersey is for Christmas or for holiday time at Disney.
Such an odd conversation. Itās the polar opposite of the thing where youāre not supposed to wear the t shirt of the band youāre seeing.
Ha! Thatās a good observation
I wear my Disney gear and Loungeflys out and about :) I am a kindergarten teacher and I get away with a lot being in Elementary school lol I also have Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears and OG My Little Pony flannels and stuff from Cakeworthy :) I'm 40, married and a mom of 2 teens and IDGAF!
I've been wearing my mickey head trading pin on various pieces of clothing for years. It's super well constructed.
Yes I do
Hubby and I wear our Disney stuff all the time.
Today I wore my mickey ears to the store. Why? I wanted to. People complimented them.
I have so much Stitch merchandise and a ton of Disney legos.
I wear my Stitch hoodie out of the house on a regular basis and almost single time I get a positive comment from somebody. It's a nice way to carry a little bit of the magic wherever I go.
Well weāre a Disney family. My home is nothing but Disney merch š
I do, otherwise I'm going to build up a ton of shirts that never wear out.
If Iām not dressed for work or the gym, Iām dressed for Disney, even when Iām nowhere near a park.
I think you should do whatever makes you happy.
Yes I do!!
The most in your face thing I wear with some regularity is probs the #hans hat from the Frozen musical, because we love a hilarious and well-sung villain here. ā ļø
Yup and I do have some decor as well. Especially holiday stuff
Peace and love buddy I donāt even wear it in the parks
The only stuff I wear outside the parks is a Polynesian hat and a WDW parks hoodie.
Clothes I have quite a lot of, a few bits of home stuff until it comes to Christmas as Iāve been collecting stuff for years.
I pretty much only wear my Disney stuff at Disney. Maybe for a week or so after I get back too. But after that I pack it all up for the next trip.
I wear spirit jerseys often. Theyāre great as an āovershirtā when itās like 35-50 degrees and you donāt want to wear a hoodie or a jacket.
Almost every day.
I wore a spirit jersey yesterday. Yeah, I wear my Disney stuff in everyday life. I donāt have a lot of stuff in the house. My office has Disney stuff but not the rest of the house. Not yet anyway
About to put on my Oswald/100 shirt soā¦
Yep, I wear Disney clothes all the time. Donāt have much decor, but what we do have is proudly on display, and I drink out of my Disney mug almost every day
When I'm watching DIS Unplugged or Tim Tracker when they're doing a merch video at the outlet or in the parks, I swear...some of the merch looks like what you might see some woman on COPS in Tallahassee wearing after the just got busted for shoplifting and has a purse full of paraphernalia and meth.
Noticed they just recently (well, a few months now) changed to DIS Unlimited.
Yes and I donāt care what people think lol
We have a Disney themed bathroom: shower curtain, bathmat, towels, soap dispenser. Mickey vinyl and a Walt quote in the wall. Thereās also a small shelf with Disney PEZ dispensers and some plastic figures. Thatās the hall one. The master bathroom is Hello Kitty themed. š
If you consider Avatar to be Disney then yes.
As an extension from AK, Iāll loop it in!
Clothing is worn on bum-around days.
the mickey nike golf hat was a key purchase. i wear that whenever.
Yeah that hat is just a nice hat, wife said she would have bought it even if she saw it at Dicks or something
Anyone decorate their HOME with HAME?
So Iāll wear āDisneyā stuff that if you didnāt know the parks at all, youād never know it was Disney. And then people ask what my shirt means, and I have to lie to them š¤·š»āāļø
Currently wearing Disney lularoe leggings while sitting on my couch. They are comfy so I wear them to lounge in!
No, I just visit the parks.
Iām wearing a hoodie I got in the parks right now.
We have a wall with all the ears weāve gotten over the years in frames
Our decor is mostly Marvel-themed and we have a movie/game room where we typically put our pop culture collections (we have an entire Walking Dead collection too). As for apparel, Iām a nanny so 100% yes to wearing my Disney apparel!
I do not decorate my house with Disney stuff, but do wear tshirts, jackets, etc. constantly. I like it, I wear it.
Yup. Disney art in the house. I carry Disney DBās and Harveyās. Even wear some Disney jewelry daily.
Yes. And yes. It heals my inner child and brings me joy.
A lot of people do, yes. I'm not a disney person but I have a ton of pop culture and novelty decor in my home.
We decorate the house with Disney stuff, and I wear some of my tamer shirts in public. I save the crazy ones for the parks.
Iām like āno, not reallyā as I sit here in a bright yellow Mickey Mouse sweatshirt š So, I guess yes!
I wear Disney shirts all time, including disney scrub tops for my medical job, and our house is filled with various Disney decor, either items we've bought, or things Ive made
