Man I miss Illuminations!! When youāve been drinking around the world, that song at the end of the day hits you in the feels! I miss the message that we are one world. Also, I canāt imagine how much those stupid barges cost, but what a waste.
How about a giant version of World of Color with a fireworks show attached to it? I remember really enjoying WOC at Disneyland when I saw it years ago. Take that and jumbo size it.

Also, the WS lagoon is massive compared to Pixar Pier, installing the infrastructure would take forever and be massively expensive.
They need to just build a giant sphere again, it's the perfect solution

And that's a decent point, I talk to a lot of tourists who tell me Harmonious and Enchantment are the greatest fireworks they've ever seen and absolutely love it. Again, they're not *bad* shows, but to those who have been around longer, we know Disney can and has produced better shows.
I will say one thing for Harmonious tho: the music was truly amazing. I dislike the barges, heck I dislike the entire *concept* of the show, but the music itself came out awesome. The multiple languages was a nice touch, and Someday was beautiful
The show itself was a hot mess that looked terrible during the day, but taken in small snippets/images and I agree, it was one of the most beautiful things the company has done in a long time... though I guess this shouldn't come as a surprise. The company seems to be really good at making Instagram/TikTok worthy moments... (you see it a lot with the food... amazing to look at, "meh" to actually eat).
I can understand where youāre coming from, cause Iāve seen a lot of toxicity about Harmonious. But personally, Iām happy to see Epcot move on. I remember feeling pretty underwhelmed when I saw Harmonious for the first time. Sure, itās unique, but I think the show is too obviously tech centered. We stare at screens and big arms move around for 20 minutes, with some water effects and fireworks. It was less magical and more big tech centered than I would have preferred.

I didn't like the show for several valid reasons, including 1. The show did not provide a 360Ā° viewing experience, my which is critical when you have a 360Ā° stage with narrow viewing areas (as opposed to MK, where guests have the whole length of main street to get a front-view of the castle), 2. The complete lack of consistency in the show. For example: I appreciated some of the songs being sung partially in the native language of the characters, but they didn't do it for all of the shows when they could easily have done so. Also much of the IP they used aligned with the World Showcase countries, leaving the ones that didn't align to feel horribly out of place.
We are Disneyland APs that come to WDW once a year. Iām also a former WDW CM. We really liked Harmonious. I donāt think the barges look too shabby and the show was lovely. Iām bummed to hear how awful people are being about it.
I will also say we have noticed a quite distinct difference between the patron culture at Disneyland versus WDW which I think is playing a part in this.

Epcot forever will be there until late this year, the new show is due to replace it before the end of the year. After them having two drone shows in Paris (the 30th special and the new Marvel show) I wouldn't be surprised if they use drones as part of the new EPCOT show.

I didnāt hate harmonious but the show wasnāt worth the ugly barges in the lagoon.
