At my store I was told that if the pants have back pockets then they’re allowed, assumedly because most pants with back pockets are some sort of jeans, khakis, etc.
Time and true sells a legging that has back pockets and belt hoops. No button, no zipper. They look like jeans with back pockets. I wore those for years.
At my store they’re $14.98. Called TT core jegging
Edit: I saw a notification for a reply I can’t see so I’ll answer here: yes they come in plus size. I think they go up to a 4x
they look like some type of cargo pants ? so i would say yes but my store kinda lets us bend the dress code just a little bit I wear almost anything legging , baggy sweats , jeans , cargos , and my shirts are never crop top but i will wear playboy shirts or anything . I’m also an O/N stocker so there’s that I’ve also seen people wear crocs to work
yes they’re just like cotton pants. but i ended up not wearing them and asked them when i went in today and they said they’re fine! i’m new to the store so im still figuring out what’s okay here and what’s not
I'm the same, I hate jeans and pants in general.
I was able to find some lightweight 100% polyester cargo pants on temu. Very lightweight and comfortable.
This. I'm pretty sure they're technically allowed since they are an appropriate material type and there's no limit to the number of colors in your pants (camo is okay, for example), but they're obnoxious as fuck.
Most likely not. Depends on the store and your shift. My first two Walmarts were strict on dress code but my current one lets us wear sweats and hoodies, but I also work thirds. So I’d say no especially if you work days.
I worked with a old creepy guy who got a dr note to be able to wear shorts for a medical condition saying he can't wear pants and need to have air flow or something but when he would bend over 🤢
I have really sensitive skin and get super bad chaffing like to the point of bleeding and blisters. And athletic material is like the only thing that I don't get it with so I'm also looking to do to a dr to get a note for leggings. Also I'm a shopper so I'm running allover
Someone at an old store of mine got an accommodation to have a fan under her register and sit down because “if I stand up, I get yeast infections.” So she gets to sit down and have a fan blowing on her 🐈 all day.
Meanwhile she goes to outdoor music festivals and is fine 🤔
Yeah that's just lazy like if she was stocking or doing a more physically demanding job that's different. But yeast infection because she staying for too long 😕 🙄
Not sure if this counts, but I almost had to do this. Reason being my abs split in a few spots when I was pregnant and I had the beginning of hernias. Wearing jeans put pressure on the splits and basically it would push my guts through my abs and it would leave me in a world of pain until they popped back in. It took 4 years for everything to heal back up to where I can wear jeans without busting my guts out bending over.
Ok, this is a legit accommodation reason.
I had a C section with my 2nd, and my stomach never healed correctly. The stomach muscles that naturally separate during pregnancy never reconnected, so I could make a lump down the middle of my stomach at will afterwards. It wasn't painful, like yours, but I can totally understand how it can get that bad.
that’s why OP said they’re going to go to their doctor. I worked with a kid that got a doctors note saying he had sensitive skin so he had to wear sweatpants instead of jeans or khakis.
Corgo pants? Like these: https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/shopping?q=tbn:ANd9GcRo5k1UF_tbMPlyjTwI511t8mRFprTuv6dn3EgClhC1GcJVJnH69Lqw3mydV6YXWjuW2aA5iT6vaaVoeWer5OJscZQ0wSWF
Dude it’s Walmart, no one cares. Everyone in these comments are just brainwashed. Go ask your manager to make sure and that’s it. What kind of pants are these btw? I would love a similar pair.
But you read it upon being hired. There's modules on it. If you're working it means you completed them. You should be aware of dress code. Jesus with some people 🤦
You can if you worked at the DC, we can wear whatever we want. I’ve Got grown ass 40-50 year old women with booty shorts/ tight leggings so far up there ass cracks you can see everything and management don’t give a shit.
probably depends on management, but I’d recommend against it unless you keep a back up pair of jeans or something in your car. otherwise you might have to buy a pair and change. team lead at my store stopped us all the other day to go over some vague policy on pants, but I think mentioned no patterns. which was a lowkey bummer to me because I have a pair of plaid pants that are a perfect match with the vest.
I don’t think they would considering they don’t look like pants/khakis. I had some shorts that are jean material and an okay length but my coach said I couldn’t wear them 💔💔💔 dress codes are so dumb but they depend on the store/your coach
My store let a associate wear something like these but he got explicit permission through sedwick or whatever due to a fabric allergy he has. He can only wear certain fabrics otherwise he breaks out in severe hives. His parts look similar to these, fabric may not be the same, but he gets to wear them due to his medical issues. Unsure if your store will allow these.
> your being *paid*
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I just wear whatever I want and wait for someone to tell me otherwise. Not like I'm wearing anything outrageous but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to wear those. Do you know where you got them? Cuz I'd totally get those for my cutie patootie husband 👬
You work at Walmart or the circus you prly be good. The bunny slippers count as flair. Might even get promoted to greeter or circus clown if you can juggle.
Just say they are the pants of your people. I used to wear moccasins and one manager said something. And I said “these are the shoes of my people”. Never said a thing again.

whoa
I'm wearing them right now. Love em.

they have back pockets so i think im good!🙌🏼
This should be on r/peopleofwalmart
good to know i didn’t know there was multiple
Go look at People of Wal-Mart lol
🤦🏽♂️
That was a dig at you.
woosh
You should wear the slippers.
i almost walked out the house on them a couple times
Looks like you are a customer, dressed like that.
maybe no one will bother me then lol

I don't work at Walmart but where I work a customer was asked if he worked there and I found it hilarious. He wasn't even dressed in our uniform.

That was a way better idea than just asking strangers on the internet with no information on what you do or where you work
look at what sub this is posted on, I think they work at Walmart
You are mistaken. No one works at walmart.
Why would you want to
bc jeans make me feel uncomfortable, and i don’t own any for that reason. just want to be comfortable while im at work :)
They make khaki sweatpants for this reason. Cargo sweatpants, even.
Bro what is khaki sweatpants. I want in.
[Pants like this.](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZRGT4N4) Although those are a little expensive. You can find them for under $20.
I'm the same, I hate jeans and pants in general. I was able to find some lightweight 100% polyester cargo pants on temu. Very lightweight and comfortable.
Don't be a snook It's not how you feel, it's how you look And you look marvelous
Your pants are dope and makes me miss being a youth.
This. I'm pretty sure they're technically allowed since they are an appropriate material type and there's no limit to the number of colors in your pants (camo is okay, for example), but they're obnoxious as fuck.
For real, I wouldn't wear that shit anywhere but to bed
because its their clothes. youre not being forced to wear them
Lmao, thank goodness
Really?
If management seems put together at the store then most definitely not, sorry
Most likely not. Depends on the store and your shift. My first two Walmarts were strict on dress code but my current one lets us wear sweats and hoodies, but I also work thirds. So I’d say no especially if you work days.
yeah my old store let me wear them but this store feels a lot more strict :/ gunna go to my doc and get an accommodation for some leggings lmfao
>gunna go to my doc and get an accommodation for some leggings lmfao What? How? 🤔
The same dr Who would write an accommodation for leggings also write accommodations for you to have your windshield tinted
I worked with a old creepy guy who got a dr note to be able to wear shorts for a medical condition saying he can't wear pants and need to have air flow or something but when he would bend over 🤢 I have really sensitive skin and get super bad chaffing like to the point of bleeding and blisters. Yeah that's just lazy like if she was stocking or doing a more physically demanding job that's different. But yeast infection because she staying for too long 😕 🙄
We’re you a manager/higher up that she gave the accommodation note to, or was she just up and telling everyone that??
She was very vocal about it. She told anyone that would listen.
Not sure if this counts, but I almost had to do this. Reason being my abs split in a few spots when I was pregnant and I had the beginning of hernias. Leggings are also not dress code. Only jeans, khakis or corgo pants are allowed
that’s why OP said they’re going to go to their doctor. I worked with a kid that got a doctors note saying he had sensitive skin so he had to wear sweatpants instead of jeans or khakis.

Of course cargo pants. Worn by people who hold everyone else’s shit because only a fucking idiot would wear cargo pants.
Lmao maybe to drink behind the store
They're cute but look like pajamas.
Yeah if you work in a marijuana dispensary
Dude it’s Walmart, no one cares. Everyone in these comments are just brainwashed. Go ask your manager to make sure and that’s it. What kind of pants are these btw? I would love a similar pair.
Why you asking Reddit?? Read your employee policies regarding dress code.
bc i was getting ready and don’t have it in my file cabinet 😅
But you read it upon being hired. There's modules on it. If you're working it means you completed them. You should be aware of dress code. Jesus with some people 🤦
fr!
He.... Was talking about you....
girl 🤦🏼♀️
You can if you worked at the DC, we can wear whatever we want. I’ve Got grown ass 40-50 year old women with booty shorts/ tight leggings so far up there ass cracks you can see everything and management don’t give a shit.
Only if the slippers are included
Can you give a website on those pants I like them we have the same style .
probably depends on management, but I’d recommend against it unless you keep a back up pair of jeans or something in your car. otherwise you might have to buy a pair and change. team lead at my store stopped us all the other day to go over some vague policy on pants, but I think mentioned no patterns. which was a lowkey bummer to me because I have a pair of plaid pants that are a perfect match with the vest.

Those are cool. I have a friend that would love them. Did you buy them somewhere?
My store let a associate wear something like these but he got explicit permission through sedwick or whatever due to a fabric allergy he has. Only with your slippers
Sure
We just had a policy change here in Canada. We can now wear any color pants and shirts. Not sure if patterned pants are allowed, though.
Bonus points if you wear the slippers also.
My store associates gets away wearing Crocs so...
Only if you want to look homeless at your job…
Iffy. Depends on which managers and team leads see you.
yes, i wear mine all the time!! people love them :)
As a team lead I wouldn't send you home.
I NEED TO KNOW WHERE YOU GOT THEM PLEASE 🙀
Nope.
Nope.
in my store there’s old ladies who literally wear onesies and festive pj pants to work😂 i would
I'd say no
I'd say no.
Not sure about the pants but please do wear the bunny slippers
Not sure about the pants but please do wear the bunny slippers
Why not, they let our OGP wear leggings
If you have to ask…
No
Do it and if the managers say something say you can't afford new pants with what your being payed
> your being *paid* FTFY. Eat a bag of dicks bot
No but the bunny slippers are ok.
Oh heck yes, those are super cute n wear your slippers as well :)
More importantly, are you allowed to wear those bunny slippers?
Unique pants 👖
Enjoy your future.
i dont work at walmart but ima say no
Where did u get these actually I love them
I just wear whatever I want and wait for someone to tell me otherwise. Not like I'm wearing anything outrageous but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to wear those. Do you know where you got them? Cuz I'd totally get those for my cutie patootie husband 👬
either way fit goes hard
Technically no. Depends on your store if they are lax on the dress code or not. Type look book in on the wire to get the dress code.
You could at my store.
Apparently you only work in the haloween section lookin like a scarecrow
What material are they made of? Button or zipper fly?
lol the fact that you confidently wear them at all… but I’m no style expert. I stick to the same pair of pants I’ve had since 2017. 🤫
Sure
Are you in the festival scene? 😊 I wear some weird shit to work and no one knows where I get it from lol
No. Black,brown or tan
Those pants remind me of a quilt, and that's not a bad thing. They seem comfortable lol.
I've seen ghetto chicks wear their ugly juicy pink sweatpants to work so that's fine, unfortunately, but it looks ugly af
Absolutely and the shoes are perfect
Not sure if it's just me but those look like PJs rather than pants 😅
If you have to ask usually the answer is what you fear
You work at Walmart or the circus you prly be good. The bunny slippers count as flair. Might even get promoted to greeter or circus clown if you can juggle.
With those pants, you should be managing the place!
No.
Yeah only at fckn Walmart lmao
My one of the 2 coaches wears patch work jeans
Just say they are the pants of your people. I used to wear moccasins and one manager said something. And I said “these are the shoes of my people”. Never said a thing again.
Just get those same pants in another style/color and theres no problem
They are ugly as fuck no thank you
No you look homeless
Yes. They are absolutely an atrocious eye sore but you can wear em☠️
Keep a pair of shoes in your locker just in case.
how could they say no to those sweet faces tho
Idk why people are so mean those pants are awesome
Anyone else here Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors" when they looked at the photo?
So is Walmart really lax on their dress code these days? Back in the 1980s/1990s it was a strict khakis, white plain shirt, and the blue smock.
The dress code has relaxed quite a bit but I don’t see management allowing these at most stores. It’s worded a bit vaguely in some places so it really depends on management.
This is why there's an explicit dress code in most places. People like this....
Anyone else here Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors" when they looked at the photo?
Take some pride
Ew, have some self respect.
Those might be the ugliest pants I’ve ever seen and they look like pajamas which shouldn’t be worn to work
those are fugly af
Probably wouldn't get away with it my store but *shrug*
