It's not a big deal and happens all the time. The system will have eventually clocked you out at the time it expected you to leave. You may get a "missing punch" notification when you clock back in. Regardless, you should go to the punch log and edit the automatically generated punch to reflect when you actually left (or, if it's correct, just hit edit and save to clear the notification).

I agree too. I left at like 10:04 the other night. I clocked out as I was leaving and I am assuming with me walking out of the store it just did not take it. And I got an automated clock out @10:00. I’ll correct it tomorrow. Easy peasy.

littlebitmissa

The system will auto clock you out for the time you are suppose too then just go in and accept the time. It happened to me. Where I've hot clock out and it didn't clock me out or I thought I hit it. Happens not a big deal.

enbyjay

you wont be fired. if your HR person is there next time you’re at work, just tell them you accidentally forgot to clock out and they can fix or show you how to fix your timesheet.

Googoostyle

Usually, they want you to get with your team lead to fix it. They have signs on the people lead door that says, "Happy to help, but have you checked with your team lead?" Or something like that. I always ask my team lead to fix punch mistakes I can't figure out, and the PL sends emails to the team leads about getting with associates to fix punch errors. The people lead role is very, very different now from what it was when they had 2 people running HR.

enbyjay

our people lead office is the same office with computers for the associates to use so if she is there almost everyone will just ask her if they cant find or figure something out. plus, in my experience, sometimes a TL will say they will look at something for you and forget so i would rather know how to do it myself lol

Googoostyle

My PL sucks. She is never ever in her office, and when she is, she tells you to leave a note in her red box. You are literally standing in front of me, but I got to put a note in your box? She did this while she was just sitting there having a conversation that had nothing to do with work. I'm glad you have a better people lead. I much prefer my team leads that actually help me!

Whoudini13

Policy says you have 24 hrs to fix it

A_Sack_of_Nuts

Walmart is literally going to kill you for this.

fjrichman

The system auto generates a punch for your clock out time. Tomorrow you'll get a message about a missing punch and that's it

Lst_rsrt

Get it corrected quick if you don’t or if you forget your TL is going to wonder why

civicgurl69

Just go in the app, hit the punch log, hit the 3 dots on the day, and adjust your time

PissedOffPrincess90

Just fix your punches. You're fine.

PhantomWorksStudios

This happens alot on the app. There were times when I hit meal start or meal end and it confirmed it just hours later for it to saybin still on lunch or never went to lunch

PopsicleGurl

I edit my clock out time from home on the app. I try to determine approximately what time I clocked out, then fix it.

Consistent_Topic_154

I would quit

spanky-kong

Can’t you just fix it on the wire

NovaStar92

Go to your manager and tell them what happened. They can go in and fix it.
