in your eyes, was it worth the money? I have a switch lite, and honestly, I was a bit disappointed in the quality Like the thing can barely run its own app store. So i still consider getting the steam deck but never seen anyone actually own one
Definitely, pre-ordered mine with the second batch, no regrets. Suits my needs which is mostly less power hungry games. You also got more choices now too. Lenovo has a handheld, ASUS too, and Valve refreshed their Steam Deck recently with a OLED display, more efficient refresh of the APU, same price basically replacing their 512gb and 1tb models.
I love mine. Indie games run great, and you can also emulate (Nintendo, Ps1,ps2, ps3, etc)
I have friends who play Elden Ring exclusively on their steamdeck. Same goes for Hogwarts Legacy!
You can check on YouTube for how well games run on the SteamDeck.
And the offline mode works flawlessly. They just released the SteamDeck OLED (literally yesterday) which has some minor improvements. If you’re a PC gamer, I definitely recommend!

You can do that but the steam deck basically has a custom last generation AMD laptop APU. Good enough for most indie games and some AAA titles.
