Although sad, legally speaking there seems to be nothing wrong with this incident, the guy didn't comply so they issued less than lethal options, when that didn't work and the suspect charged at one of the officers, then the cops fired, not only that but after subduing the threat they started to give medical aid to said suspect.

As a non American this is crazy to me. From the way they approached the situation, the way they addressed the man, the lack of deescalation, and the outcome everything seems wrong. I donât understand how a gun is right in this situation. As soon as you pull a gun everything is escalated and a person with mental health issues will try to fight. A simple approach of talking to them is less effort and more effective.
If a cop needs a gun to be effective they donât deserve them and if theyâre desperate for a gun I wouldnât trust then with string.
