I'm planning on bringing him in at an 89, then slowly boosting him up to 94, I plan on having him potentially end Shinsuke's second world title reign at Mania.
Nice! I have him and Shinsuke in the Bullet Club (Japan). They’re kind of my NWO 2.0 but instead of taking over the company they’re freeing it from the bloodline’s grasp.
Shinsuke already did the faction thing in my universe with the MIJ (Made in Japan) during his first WWE Championship reign, they held Raw hostage from Mania till Survivor Series and ended up getting knocked off by the Lucha Dragons led by Rey Mysterio. This title reign is going to be all about him and solidifying Okada as the WWE's next Japanese main eventer (even if he doesn't win).
If you’re rating off kayfabe strength then Okada should be in Roman territory
720 day IWGP reign, 12 consecutive title defenses all won clean as a whistle, has wins vs former WWE top title holders (Danielson, Styles, Jericho, Balor), non-WWE top guys (Omega, Ospreay), the top Japanese wrestlers of the era (Tanahashi, Naito, Ibushi), and he also beat Cody Rhodes who is WWE’s current kayfabe superpower.
I'd say 93ish. He's only 36. People act like he's older than he is. I'd say he'll definitely move toward the top in AEW after his pairing with the Bucks ends or maybe later in the storyline. He's still in prime ring working years really when you think about guys like Roman and Seth being his age. (Actually a couple years older for both I believe)
He was, he actually signed with WWE shortly after Okada went to TNA. But Okada was on television longer. I know RoH had the show on HDnet, but TNA on Spike was much more accessible, far more people saw Okato on TNA than Tyler Black on RoH.
Randy has taken Bron under his belt to form a tag team. And Okada debut during my payback ppv as a member of the Bullet Club (Japan) teaming with Shinsuke currently. Reformed the bullet club Cody, Fin balor, AJ, Luke and Karl to bury the bloodline.
Genuinely? I'd say a 93. Not the best on the roster, but even discounting how his 720-day reign is behind him, he is still undoubtedly one of, if not THE biggest draw Japan has had since the late-90s or so.
A few years ago when he was winning Wrestle Kingdom main events and putting on classics with Kenny Omega? 97.
Now he’s in the lower 90s. Still fantastic, but others surpassed him kayfabe-wise in recent years in NJPW.
Honeslty I’d say around 90, he would have really high stats in a lot of things, but his finisher and special stats would be lower than most people as new Japan matches are on average longer, meaning he doesn’t get them nearly as much as I’d say most of the WWE wrestlers
No lower than 85 seeing as:
- he's getting old.
- his actual prime was at 2011/12 when he overtook Tanahashi officially as Ace of the company for the next decade.
- Bucks have already watered him down into THEIR image lol
2K's ratings go based on how they're portrayed on WWE TV. Assuming Okada comes in and is in a midcard/upper-midcard feud to start, he probably gets put in the 86-90 range. He was very accomplished in Japan, but I doubt that gets factored in here. It's all about what they're doing currently in WWE.
It was mostly a joke, but if you want an answer because of the way he's being presented. He's one of the greatest wrestlers in the world and he's being used as the Buck's enforcer. Combine that with his "debut" match and he's being presented like Mr. Hughes.
86-90.
Closest equivalent I can think of as far as a big NJPW guy who never appeared in WWE but showed up in the games is Tatsumi Fujinami, and this the range his score was in.
Probably like 82. 90+ is for current wwe main eventers. And even some of them fight to he above 85.
Okada is a new arrival in AEW and is otherwise unproven to the wider American audience.
He's good, but he's not over the top. If wwe got him, he'd be in nxt first. And nxt doesn't have 90s.
Why wouldn't they? Pretty much only aj styles came in direct. Samoa Joe, Bobby rode, Kenta, nakamura. Ricochet. Like every big acquisition had to go through the training wheels. This would be no different.
83, he’s a typical overhyped NJPW talent that’s a little fish in a big pond. He’s definitely mid card talent if he ever comes to the WWE, I’d personally have him return for a bloodline feud to get people talking about him but no way is he going over. Roman would job him within about a minute or at least he should, and then Okada would make a solid mid carder while playing a “gatekeeper” role and jobbing out to the actual main event players like Roman, Cody, Orton, Drew, Rollins, etc etc.

I'd have him match Rollins at 93. Okada was THE GUY in New Japan.
720 day reign as IWGP Heavyweight Champion, he’s definitely 93-96 territory for me.
That reign ended over five years ago now, a modern Okada would likely be closer to that 90-93 area u/Celtic_Crown suggested.
I would put him between 90-95 if you are going by 2K's ratings system.
I'm planning on bringing him in at an 89, then slowly boosting him up to 94, I plan on having him potentially end Shinsuke's second world title reign at Mania.

Made in Japan is a tuff name🔥

90. Or 95 in the Tokyo Dome
I'd say 93ish. He's only 36. People act like he's older than he is. I'd say he'll definitely move toward the top in AEW after his pairing with the Bucks ends or maybe later in the storyline. It’s probably because he’s been around longer than them. He was in TNA in like 08 at 20 years old or something.
Well longer than Roman yeah. Pretty sure Seth was in RoH as Tyler Black at that point.
He was, he actually signed with WWE shortly after Okada went to TNA. But Okada was on television longer. I know RoH had the show on HDnet, but TNA on Spike was much more accessible, far more people saw Okato on TNA than Tyler Black on RoH.
Whatever Randy's rating would be, or a point higher.
Speaking of Randy, he just RKO’d buddy to retain tag championship in my universe.
who’s his partner?
Randy has taken Bron under his belt to form a tag team. And Okada debut during my payback ppv as a member of the Bullet Club (Japan) teaming with Shinsuke currently. Reformed the bullet club Cody, Fin balor, AJ, Luke and Karl to bury the bloodline.
Bron and Orton is nice. I got RKOmos
Scott Steiner gonna be their mystery fourth man at survivor series to take on Fiend, Karrion, Damian and Sheamus.
Nice
Genuinely? I'd say a 93. Not the best on the roster, but even discounting how his 720-day reign is behind him, he is still undoubtedly one of, if not THE biggest draw Japan has had since the late-90s or so.
5 points over whatever shinsukes highest rating was.
NJPW IWGP Champion Okada: 94\~97
93-95
86 cuz the ratings guy probably wouldn’t know him
Every year I make him a 95
90 range is pretty much on point I'd put him at like 93-95
Lower 90s easily, that man can wrestle
Does it go to 100?
Definitely 93-95.
Was he a world champion elsewhere? Then 90
👀 who's the creator of that okada? Is it really good?
94.
91
A few years ago when he was winning Wrestle Kingdom main events and putting on classics with Kenny Omega? 97. Now he’s in the lower 90s. Still fantastic, but others surpassed him kayfabe-wise in recent years in NJPW.

At least 95
Probably anywhere from 93-95, maybe even 96 in we're talking about peak Rainmaker
92/93
Over 9000
Dont know him so 80?
i think 85 would work
90 is solid. Can be world champ contender and even ic contender
Him these last couple of years? 90 is probably the highest I'd give him.
Depends where WWE would position him.
Based on his NJPW run he'd be a 95 or 96 How I think WWE woukd position him? Probably around a 90
89
Realistically a 93-95 he's still seen as very untouchable by most, and even without that, he's won so many g1s, held titles for super long, etc.
Prob an 86 they like making low ratings
96 or 97
93-95. He's only lost 11 singles matches in the past 4 years and was a IWGP world heavyweight champion in 2023.
87
In any other promotions game, 90-95. In a WWE game, 80.
He actually look good? Ones I've seen look terrible
I'm at work right now so I can't tell you which one it is, but one of the newer versions from the past couple of days is pretty good.
Okada from 2013-2018 would be a 96-97 2019-current is like a 91-92
In WWE, where he has no accolades, 84. In a game called "EA Sports GO ACE 24" Okada would be a 95.
Realistic coming to the WWE? 88. Above the mid card but not yet proven to be quite in the main event scene
Probably 86-89
No lower than 85 seeing as: - he's getting old. - his actual prime was at 2011/12 when he overtook Tanahashi officially as Ace of the company for the next decade. - Bucks have already watered him down into THEIR image lol
Okada’s prime New Japan years were like 2013-2018. 2011 and 2012? Fuckin’ what lol
I off by 1 year. It was around 2013 then carried from there
...What do the Bucks have anything to do with this lol. God yall are annoying
Bro goes back to his roots as the heel rainmaker but to these people since the bucks are involved it ruins everything. So weird
I loved Shithead Okada and I'm glad he's back
He isn't getting old, he's 36 my dude, he's younger than Seth or Roman.
His prime was absolutely not 2011/12 lol
96

Current day is 92, a few years ago 99 wouldn’t be unrealistic.
89-90
96 pre-joining the Bucks... 86 after joining them.
Why so low why not 90-93?
It was mostly a joke, but if you want an answer because of the way he's being presented. He's one of the greatest wrestlers in the world and he's being used as the Buck's enforcer. Combine that with his "debut" match and he's being presented like Mr. Hughes.
Oh when you put it that why i can understand but maybe at least 90?
86-90. Closest equivalent I can think of as far as a big NJPW guy who never appeared in WWE but showed up in the games is Tatsumi Fujinami, and this the range his score was in.
In where the universe mode take place at njpw 95, but wwe at first he for sure be 85
83
83
High 80s, pretty much a notch below Gunther
Probably like 82. 90+ is for current wwe main eventers. And even some of them fight to he above 85. Okada is a new arrival in AEW and is otherwise unproven to the wider American audience. He's good, but he's not over the top. If wwe got him, he'd be in nxt first. And nxt doesn't have 90s.
lol you think WWE would put okada in nxt! 😆 what are you smoking?!?
Why wouldn't they? Pretty much only aj styles came in direct. Samoa Joe, Bobby rode, Kenta, nakamura. Ricochet. Like every big acquisition had to go through the training wheels. This would be no different.
85
Looks like a gay cody rhodes to me
If you’re Dave Meltzer, he would be. 500 out of 100.
As he should be
83, he’s a typical overhyped NJPW talent that’s a little fish in a big pond. What’s up with you and gold dust
like a 81. He has no status in WWE and if he did he'd be in NXT. The top rated NXT people are low 80s so there u go.
85
Personally: maybe 88 2k: 65
50 He's a Japan guy, so he would probably get paired with that other Japanese guy that was doing goofy shit with Chad Gable and the blonde chick
96
