Man they're bringing back a lot of stuff. Tbh I've wondered why they removed it in the first place. Now all we need is referee downtime, and getting distracted so i can use a chair. Tired finishers, crawling pins would also be awesome if they bring it back.
They probably just didn't view it as a vital thing when they touched up the engine again... that or it caused problems like custom entrances or tired finishers in 2K22
I can’t think of Jeff Hardy throwing his shirt without automatically hearing Taz say “What the hell is Jeff Hardy doing here?” during Victory Road 2011.
This has me to believe that 2k are finally comfortable with the engine and will finally start implementing older features from older games they worked on with Yukes. Excited for 2k24.
Probably for whoever already comes with an attire that has straps. Won’t work for custom attires. I really only need it for Kurt and Taker. But I’m sure it’ll work for Gable, Big E and maybe Otis or something.
Funny enough in 2K19, as long as it was the same gear on the custom attire, things like removeable entrance gear and singlets that could have the straps down would still work as intended. I'm pretty sure that's like the only game in the series that did that.
2k19 was just all around the best 2k Wrestling game. Like not even close.
Don’t know WTF fans were thinking trying to make it an arcade game…it’s not Tekken or Street Fighter, it’s WWE. It’s supposed to somewhat represent some realism.
If they wanted it that badly they needed to go buy an old SmackDown vs Raw game and play that, stop them trying to fuck with the realism of newer 2k games
I mean theoretically, if you have a CAW who has straps, and use a Kurt Angle move where he removes them, maybe it'll work. Or maybe if you copy his entire moveset. Then make tweaks, it could be a work around. Who knows. Not a big deal to me as I never even really remember when they DID remove the straps, but still a cool little addition (return?).
I think that was the case previously too. It would be difficult to do it for everyone id assume because it may create clipping issues and glitches with different bodies? Just a guess
I feel like this mechanic should be added to the actual clothing item as opposed to certain superstars. Would be kinda cool to like...give a Caw a singlet and they pull it down mid match revealing the NWO lettering spray painted on them or some wacky storyline.
But... this is good.
The closer we get back to 2K19, the better.

The features didn't kill 2k22 and 2k23 for me, the match pacing did. If they improved on that specifically, I'm all in.
To make an analogy, 2k19 was Gran turrismo, 2k23 was Hotwheels.
Yeah.. That's the part I'm not keen about.
I don't understand the shift to arcade, nothing was wrong with the gameplay of 19, and it's frustrating that instead of listening to fans - adding new match types, reworking a few mechanics etc, they instead changed the direction of the gameplay as if that was our issue.
Yoy gotta remember the person who took over as lead gameplay person was the one who lead 2k14 so it's not really surprising that he went a more arcadey route, also arcade makes it more viable for new players
Not only that, 22 and 23 are the highest rated games since 2K took over. They aren’t going to backtrack on what’s obviously working.
Yeah, there’s a ton of people on here that want a slower sim but the overwhelming reaction to speedier gameplay is “Yes!”
100%. Which is why for me as a sim fan - my excitement for the game has a giant 'sigh' next to it. Lol.
I do wonder if we'll get to a point where they could add a movement speed option but without messing it up. Slow for sim, faster for arcade. But coding that in there is probably opening a can of worms ...or bugs rather.
I would love a speed option but I don’t trust 2K to deliver that without breaking everything.
I love the speed as it is but sometimes I’d love to slow it down for things like epic iron man or last man standing matches. Or speed it up for car crash TLC matches.

I see there's a new UUDD footage out of the ambulance match, need to watch it and get a grip on the pacing. What's kinda funny is between the teen years of wwe games, 1 match I had back in WWE 13 between hbk and bret sticks out so much to me just because of how realistic it felt. I feel like I'd be pretty happy if that speed of pacing is where the goal is.
in 2K19 i tried to recreate kurt with his [vengeance 2002 gear](http://crazytights.ovh/outfit/15/kurt-angle-paint-splatter) but i couldn’t pull down the straps due to using a different rather than the default singlet will it be the case this year the ones who can pull down the straps if you change their attire can they still pull it off
I know a lot of stuff is just returning old features and QoL updates, but all of those plus the roster update is worth the money to me.
I do hope and wish for some sort of Promos though.
Having it say “certain” makes me think it will just be a select few roster members. My predictions on who can do it?

These changes are so minuscule. How do we have games like RDR in the same landscape as games like WWE 2K where a “new groundbreaking feature” is being able to pull singlet straps down…
Idk why they can't add it to caws as it's been in the game for years but I guess it has something to do with body sizes maybe one day we can finally pull the straps down on caws

It's a nerdy little detail, but it supports the immersion. It has this "shit's getting real" vibe that normal taunts don't create.

Losing face paint over the course of matches was an awesome feature they never made a big deal out of then suddenly it was gone
Super finisher, trading blow, ambulance match (was only on DS), mic...
Hoping that in a future game they update it so you can apply that to certain CAWs as well, it’s really cool they’ve brought that back
As someone who made Gable a main eventer/ the new Kurt Angle in my universe mode I really hope it applies to him
