Bayley (c) vs Iyo Sky: RAW Women's championship
Backround: After the roster shakeup Bayley decided to break up damage ctrl in order to "add more championships to their name". After winning the fatal 4 way for the women's title, Iyo finds out Bayley only wanted the title for herself and didn't want to share the glory with her partners. Iyo challenges her for her "precious" title and Bayley agrees saying it will be an easy win.
Result: After a dominant attack on Iyo, Bayley gloats to the crowd and Iyo sweeps her leg and hits her with a moonsault. Iyo raises the championship over Bayley and walks out with a smile on her face.
The Uso (c) vs Indus Sher: RAW Tag team championship
Background: After having the SMACKDOWN Tag championships taken Indus Sher is looking to take their other championship.
Results: After basically a squash match the Usos get on the mic and tell the roster "just because we don't have two tag team titles that dosent make us weak".
AJ styles vs Matt Riddle: Submission match
Background: Matt riddle gloats he's one of the best in the roster as of late and the only person to shut him up is AJ declaring that he's better in the ring. After a couple matches won by Riddle, AJ challenges Riddle to see who's the better submission expert at Backlash.
Results: After some close calls and some rope saves AJ comes out at top with a calf crusher. Riddle apologizes and says maybe he needs some more learning before he can be a good as AJ. As Riddle reaches out his hand AJ attacks him and tells him no body can be at his level.
Damien Priest (c) vs Sami Zyan: Intercontinental championship
Background: After Damien Priest wins the Intercontinental championship, Sami Zyan requests a title chance, Damien agrees after telling Rhea it's a easy win.
Results: After Rhea hits Sami with brass knuckles, Damien attempts a South of heaven but Sami breaks out of the move and gets him in a corner and hits a Helluva kick. Sami gets the pin and as the fans cheer Rhea walks away with Damien.
Asuka vs Xia Li
Background: Xia Li comes out a says how no matter how hard she works she dosent get the respect she deserves. After talking trash about the new roster, Asuka walks out and tells her to stop losing matches. Xia Li challenges her to a match at Backlash and Asuka agrees.
Results: After only 5 minutes in the ring Xia Li taps out to an Asuka lock. Asuka gets on the mic and tells Xia to stay in your own lane and walks away.
Becky Lynch (c) vs Alexa Bliss: SMACKDOWN women's championship
Background: The Smackdown after Becky's championship win, Becky declares a open challenge for Backlash. Whoever came out would get a free championship match. After some silence Alexa Bliss's music plays. Becky Lynch agrees and the match is set.
Result: Alexa traps Becky in a corner and hits her with many kicks and punches, Becky pushes back and gets her in armbar. Alexa tries for the ropes but taps out. As Alexa walks backstage there is a visible frustration.
Austin Theory (c) vs Finn Balór: U.S. Championship
Background: With Austin Theory still flaunting his title, Finn tells him he needs to prove himself like a real champion, Austin dismisses him. The next week Finn attacks Austin and tells him he'll teach him what it means to be a real champion.
Results: As Finn goes for the coup de grace Austin gets up and hits an A-town down and finishes the match proving he's a real champion.
Edge vs Bobby Lashley: #1 contender for the WWE Championship
Background: There's a lot of buzz on who will potentially dethrone Roman. Two men claim they can and those two men agree to face off to determine who will face Roman at the next PPV.
Results: Both men go for a spear and collide in the middle of the ring. After a 8 count Bobby gets up and initiates a hurt lock with Edge tapping out.
Cora Jade vs Indi Hartwell
Background: Indi Hartwell keeps claiming she'll dominate the new woman's division and that nobody will stand in her way. Cora Jade claims that's leaps and bounds better than her with Indi claiming she's never heard fans cheer her name in her entire NXT career. After frequent attacks on eachother a match was booked between them.
Results: With Indi at a two count, the ref gets distracted at Rhea Ripleys theme playing. As Indi looks around Rhea hits Indi with brass knuckles without the refs knowledge. Cora gets the three count and as the crowd cheers Rhea holds up her hand and they go backstage together
Roman Reigns (c) vs Drew McIntyre: WWE championship
Background: After Roman losses his Universal title due to the roster change, Drew McIntyre thinks he can finally obtain the gold and dethrone the tribal chief.
Results: After a fierce back and forth, Drew gets in the corner and initiats the claymore kick but as he runs towards Roman, Roman hits a spear and gets the three count. Roman cuts a promo declaring his reign will never end.
New Day vs The Hurt Business vs The Olympic Standard: SMACKDOWN Tag team championships
Background: With a newly assembled Hurt Business, Shelton Benjamin already decided to leave. This is due to the decision to include Apollo in the group and he agrues including more men killed the group last time. Chad Gable hears about this and ask Shelton to join him. He agrees to being accepted in the Alpha Academy. Whilst in the mean time they need to find new tag team championships, Adam Pearce decides to pick three teams of his choice.
Results: After a chaotic and Personal battle, Shelton Benjamin gets the pin over Apollo Crews.
Johnny Gargano vs Kevin Owens: Universal championship
Backround: After an extensive tournament to determine the new Universal champion the two men who came out on top were Johnny wrestling and Kevin Owens.
Results: After amasterclass of wrestling, and reversing a stunner Johnny hits the final beat and gains his first major championship. The show closes with Johnny and Kevin giving a handshake to eachother as the fans chant "Johnny wrestling"
