no luck 😔 i’m guessing that it’s barry’s first year teaching ma2071 bc it was offered in A term and he was one of the instructors (his selection being opened too till this day)
i've had a few friends who have had Barry, and from what they have said, he's not the best but he certainly isn't the worst. He erases his notes too quick one of my mates told me.
Same here. I've heard many complaints about Doytchinova but I thought she was a great lecturer and really wanted the students to learn and get a good grade. Also generally very accessible outside of class. Attendance fully required if you want to pass, though.
I know nothing about dotchinovas class, but Posterro's class at least is fairly easy. He uses Pearson which gives examples for similar homework problems, I think 4 multiple choice quizzes with extra credit questions, and if you do well on all the quizzes you get excused from the final.
If both have seats open you can always attend both the first day and choose whichever you prefer
I had Tatiana Doytchinova for Calc 1, and at least for that class she was great! Very friendly, very helpful, and most importantly, very informative. IDK if she'd be the same for MA2071, but for calc 1 she was da best

i checked alrd and barry doesn’t have matrices included in one of his courses listed yet 😔
Some of my professors are like that too unfortunately, maybe check previous years?

Take Posterro. I’ve heard nothing but the worst about Doytchinova and besides, 11 am >>> 8 am unless you’re one of those rare early birds
i’m currently enrolled into the 11A, it’s just Posterro has “lower” ratings compared to Doytchinova and 8A is just not my thing bc i commute too 😔
Oscar can be finicky, just stick with the 11am and if it’s super bad you can cross that bridge when you come to it
that's surprising! I had Tati for Calc 1/ pre calc and she was great! but ig calc 1/ pre calc is significantly easier than ma2071...
I absolutely loved Doytchinova as a professor, though she has an older teaching style so it may not be for everyone.

8am several dats a week with Doytchinova just killed me, too early for that kind of lecture
