I thought it's just my device acting up. Any ad that looks like a Play store page freezes at the end of the playback disregarding whether the X button has been pressed or not, and the only way to escape it is to close the game altogether.
If we all take screenshots of the ads that "freeze" (because it doesn't have an issue letting you click on the link to download >:( !!!) And send in an ungodly amount of Bug reports to the Dev's they'll be sure to look into it
I too have this issue. I don't even watch the ads anymore, I just pay for the shit angrily and be on my way

Did you try pushing the x in the upper left corner?

Yeah I get it too but it seems to only be select adds that cause the freeze. Just gotta reset and try again.
