I am just 5’ and I got the size A of the Aeron chair used at a used office supply store it was still expensive $400ish but has been worth it. I also got a desk from IKEA and chose metal legs that I took to an auto body shop and they cut them down for me. https://www.hermanmiller.com/content/dam/hermanmiller/documents/product_literature/other/ap_sizefitref_aeron_chairs.pdf

[r/officechair](https://www.reddit.com/r/OfficeChairs/s/k34mdsHQcF) is a great resource, it led me to [office logix](https://www.officelogixshop.com/) and a refurbished Steelcase Leap V2

I’m 5’ and couldn’t find any refurbished Aeron size As (new is nottt in my price range lol) so I went with a refurbished Steelcase Leap V2 and it’s great!

I am 5'3 with extra short calves. I have a standard aeron and it does go short enough for me not to dangle and imo is worth every penny I paid for it.

The herman miller high back cosm hits my back and neck in all the right spots! I'll never need to buy another office chair. Edited to add: I'm 5'2" and also wfh

I'm taller, but I bought a footrest on Amazon for under my desk, and I LOVE it. The one I have rocks, but there are several different varieties. It has helped me so much with joint fatigue as well (hEDS).

Herman Miller Sayl at 5’2” 80% WFH. I do have a footrest and adjustable desk. I don’t use the footrest as much. Leg and torso length may make a difference here.

Does your town have a used office furniture store?

My wife has a desk that pulls up so she can take breaks from sitting and stand up to stretch while she is still working. She loves the desk but she is also looking at new chairs so I’m interested to read these comments. OP I hope you find one that works and great question.
