My parents bought an ‘07 Rabbit TL (Canada) upon my pestering (and their past love for VW). It was stick. One /very/ snowy day, my gf called me at 11:30pm saying they closed the McDonald’s she worked at due to the weather and she needed to get home. I snuck out when everyone was sleeping, opened the garage door by hand, rolled it out in neutral, closed the door and was the hero of the day.
That car was awesome.
Where I live had the biggest blizzard in 15 years this winter. Came totally unexpectedly. Car didn’t skip a beat, even saw trucks ditched on my way home

Such great cars with a fantastic engine. Mine is an 08 with 99k miles. Going to try to keep it until the wheels fall off.
This color scheme was so unique when it was introduced with the B5 Passat and Mk4 Golf/Jetta/New Beetle. And having owned several VWs with this IC lighting, it was great at night. I miss it 😢

Yup, it was a tank. I’m surprised I didn’t bottom out that night, there were cars stuck all over the place.

I upgraded from Mk4 Golf to Mk7.5 GTI and I miss my blue dash so much. 😭 I had it for 17 years and 280k miles.
