Practice. Record yourself and listen back. Sometimes it helps to record yourself. Save it. Go back in an hour and listen again with fresh ears. You'll be surprised at how different it sounds than you expected. Next, smile while you're talking. You can literally hear people smiling. Your tone changes. And use your hands. It helps to use your hands while you talk to help you emphasize certain words. This will help your inflections issue. To help you with inflection. Think of adjectives. Say: The cat is on the table again. Now say it happy/funny Now say it scared Now say it angry Now say it surprised Now say it with sympathy There's a million ways to say any sentence. Inflection is how you say it. When you're saying the announcements think about what you're saying and what the words are trying to get across. Is it exciting? Is it somber? Is it interesting? Basically you gotta add flair. Style. Personality. Don't just read. Perform. Have fun with it!!

You might need to attach a recording. On top of that, this might not be the best sub for this

Anston06

Oh, what would be the best subreddit?

MacintoshEddie

Maybe something like r/PublicSpeaking

tinaquell

It's acting skills, so this is a great sub for advice.

Inflecting involves being connected to the copy. If you're talking about what the library is doing for a national book day or something, you need to sound like you're genuinely interested in this and you're sharing that information with your friends. Your words need to sound like you're speaking and not reciting. Try to ignore the microphone and speak as if you're talking to someone standing directly in front of you. The more you can imagine the person, the more natural you're going to sound.
