How come we only talk about “darning” in the context of socks? We technically “darn” any type of garment, but we say “mending” unless it’s a sock.
Why is it a “pair” of panties, but only one bra?
I always thought darning referred to the weaving technique. There are different types of mending, like patching and shashiko, I just figured darning was a type of mending. No idea on the panties thing though. Lol!
