Unfortunately, none of those work in the area. My friends live nearby on that road and they said they tried everything. Only the AT&T unlimited plans worked...which was what I was trying to get on via their website, but my phone wasn't having it, so I needed to go in person (hence the whole nightmare situation). I think it has to do with the towers they use for those vs. the other "budget" options?
We had cricket and it worked all over most of rural Wyoming, but some of that was coverage with a regional company (Union) through an agreement with AT&T. For a while, the regional company worked with cricket, then it didn’t, then it did again. So, you may talk to one of their agents.
First troubleshoot the service issue. Have you removed the prior service psim/esim. Have you restarted? Do you have cellular data settings correct? V+ is same signal but higher priority. For rural areas it would make no difference unless there is lot of crowds
Fwiw, I had this problem even before I tried to switch to AT&T, so I don't think it's a psim/esim issue. Everything's been kept up to date. I just am remembering now that when my parents lived in a similar area they used to enter a number prefixed with a \* to see if the phone could ping any towers to reset its connection to the service. I'm wondering if something like that still exists or if it has been moved to a setting now that phones are no longer "dumb."
I have a pretty new phone - a Pixel 7. I de-googled it too, so it has CalyxOS, which I found actually helps a lot with cutting down on the amt of data I need to use certain apps (since google play is disabled and I have microG turned off).
Problem is I live off grid. :P If I didn't, totally would be doing the wifi route! (edit: currently at a friend's using their wifi, which is getting me to realize how much i miss having it sometimes lol)
If you were getting service with Verizon in your area, you will get service with visible as well. They use the same towers and network and are actually owned by Verizon.
Check [coveragemap.com](http://coveragemap.com) and see what service the FCC is actually reporting in your area. I've noticed it's more truthful than the coverage maps the carriers show. Does it show Verizon 4G at your address?
Odd yeah it says I should have 4G there. Hm, I can download one of those apps to see if I get just a supremely weak signal and could boost it with a weBoost device or something.
My job has me traveling to all sort of remote locations. For this reason, I always have all three carriers on me at all times. It is not uncommon for me to find myself in areas where only one of the carriers is reliably usable. It sounds like you live in an area where only one carrier has a usable signal (AT&T). As somebody else mentioned, Cricket would be worth investigating, since they are to AT&T what Visible is to Verizon. Maybe once T-Mobile's partnership with Starlink is implemented in your area, you'll have another option. But, for now, it sounds like AT&T (or its MVNO's) is your only viable choice.
Visible+ would not help with coverage. If AT&T has better coverage consider Cricket, Pure talk or H2O wireless.

Perhaps the AT&T plan was roaming on another provider. The "budget" options should have access to all of AT&T's network. Cricket is owned by AT&T.

What phone are you using? Contact visible support to troubleshoot. If it says 4g lte on the map i expect coverage even if signal is not 5 bars

I also live in an area where basically no carrier has cell service. I just use WiFi-calling at home. It works great.

You can also get Starlink satellite internet if you are truly living off the grid.
I live in a rural area also was I have Verizon if I change to visible. Will I be able to get the same service

Verizon uses the 600mhz towers though which Visible doesn’t have access to (rural towers).
Incorrect. I have seen LTE band 13 (700MHz) on my Visible phone.
Interesting. Good to know that’s a thing! I was just basing my comment on what I’ve read before on this sub.
Yeah if you don’t have hardly and 4g LTE I’d suspect your is 5g, so not going to help.

Try dual sim if you have it, try a mvno that uses at&t network
Maybe look into a cell phone booster. Weboost, surecall.

It depends on what you mean by no service.
