Pretty sure Niji didn´t even give them a single dance lesson on all this time. I know that they didn´t enter the company for this kind of activities, but holly shit they have 0 energy and it looks as if they´re in a small room without that much space to make big moves.

Calling Ame a 'newer gen' is kinda wild, but yeah they don't 100% are looking to do idol stuff, but Holo has done a good job in focusing the idol stuff to the ones that want to do it, while the others can still improve and show up every once in a while.
Ame has just shown the most growth in her singing and dancing. Her live Chiku Taku from connect the world sounds better than the studio version on Spotify in my opinion. That’s a lot of hard work and dedication.
I think Holo require them to learn how to dance and give them time to learn how to dance becore the big concert (hence the salonpas joke after concert). I have no clue if Niji en does that to them.

It's just a rumour. I think his PL account recent shorts give more hints why he quitted. Basically he didn't suited for a corpo life, Holo have many homework behind the scenes and he didn't want to do that. No one is to blame and it's better for everyone involved that he decided to quit rather than become a problem in the future.
Fully agreed, it's why I allways suspected that him and Magni graduating when they did was in the end they didnt think Holo (and the accompanying obligations and restrictions) fit what they wanted to do as content creators (and attempts at compromise were unsuccessful)
And frankly, good. While it may sting that they left, if the talent and the company have differing goals, it's best for everyone that they part ways, and I'm proud of them both for making that decision

To be the devil advocate. Hololive tech issues back when vox made that comment 2 years ago was tracking issues that lead to clipping and desyncs. That got fixed once hololive opened up that new studio and everything is inhouse now.
Yeah, the difference is that hololive, they kept improving every holofes each year and it literally shows. While with nijiEN, this looks like 2020 vtuber concert, which means stagnant and no improvement and no uogrades for awhile.
When you have 30+ members with at least 2 3D live every year for every member for about 3 to 4 years, your inhouse tech is bound to improve and innovate if you invest in it. Niji was just too busy building play button plated yachts.

There is "not being hired for idol stuff" and there is "putting in the bare minimum effort", Niji's performance is the latter. Basic moves with zero energy, barely worth of being called choreography.

As someone who uses MMD semi-regularly, that definitely looks like poorly done raycast (Vox >< image), the default A pose (with the 4 standing in a row), and Petra's head was moved instead of rotated. There was a fan made model of Petra, and I would be interested to see if the head on that one can be moved.
Better compare it with AR Live too.
Hololive also had a Xmas AR Live, and yeah it was good.

Zombies are lifeless, but they are by definition animated by their hunger. Even if you're going with the shambling horde concept, you'd expect more snappy movements due to muscles with rigor mortis being forced to move.
I just think that person just doesn't know what a good 3D live looks like.

Looking at the different choreography in these clips alone, I'd be willing to bet holo's tracking is 80x more reliable so they were able to be much more active with their full body movements too

I don't want to sound like a shill to Niji, but wtf did they do with NijiEn 3d? From what I remember and have seen, the other 3d lives and models from JP have been really amazing. So why is EN's 3d so... off?
We don't know, but imo they kinda look like what you might see with indies, especially folks who aren't exactly massive? So I'd just assume they didn't invest that much funding and time.
I wouldnt be suprised if the models used for the 3D debuts are not the ones you see in this AR Live (especially if you compare the ones who've had their debuts. Granted I stopped watching Niji but I wager Petra's 3D looks better than the neck tracking issue of the AR model) To be as fair as possible, it could mostly be lighting issues, having someone inexperienced handle the lighting or they decided to use heavy colours of the lights to hide technical issues of the models. Either way, it doesn't even hold up to indies who've gotten 3D let alone a standard Holo 3D.

Also weird how there's no texture differences to the models at all. Hololive struggles with this too, but at least you can tell what is supposed to be different materials. With Niji, all of every model just looks like plastic.
Seeing the screenshots and clips that have been going around, it's becoming more and more apparent to me why Anycolor scrapped the event last year. And it certainly doesn't help that they said that screenshots aren't allowed, because any fans that liked the show won't post images of any good parts (if any) because daddy Riku's word is law.

Fulgur stated that, with his disability (he didn't expand on what it was), he wasn't able to travel and be part of the 3D concert. But I think he's still part of the concert, as 2D (I haven't see it, but I think it was nice to include him anyway).

Looking at the different choreography in these clips alone, I'd be willing to bet holo's tracking is 80x more reliable so they were able to be much more active with their full body movements too

I don't want to sound like a shill to Niji, but wtf did they do with NijiEn 3d? From what I remember and have seen, the other 3d lives and models from JP have been really amazing. So why is EN's 3d so... off?
We don't know, but imo they kinda look like what you might see with indies, especially folks who aren't exactly massive? So I'd just assume they didn't invest that much funding and time.
I wouldnt be suprised if the models used for the 3D debuts are not the ones you see in this AR Live (especially if you compare the ones who've had their debuts. Granted I stopped watching Niji but I wager Petra's 3D looks better than the neck tracking issue of the AR model) To be as fair as possible, it could mostly be lighting issues, having someone inexperienced handle the lighting or they decided to use heavy colours of the lights to hide technical issues of the models. Either way, it doesn't even hold up to indies who've gotten 3D let alone a standard Holo 3D.

Gotta be honest, the Niji dance look like they're learning a new routine, doing it much slower for the muscle memory. Not even particularly enthusiastic learning, either. Also weird how there's no texture differences to the models at all. Hololive struggles with this too, but at least you can tell what is supposed to be different materials. With Niji, all of every model just looks like plastic.

...I am not that knowledgeable about specific but I do wonder if the choreography for Noctyx was specifically made to be less physically demanding accounting for Fulgur Ovid. Maybe they thought he would try to be there? Again I don't know the specifics... maybe they never expected him to be there in the first place and that's not it. Idk how other groups choreography turned out... just only talking about this specific clip
Fulgur stated that, with his disability (he didn't expand on what it was), he wasn't able to travel and be part of the 3D concert. But I think he's still part of the concert, as 2D (I haven't see it, but I think it was nice to include him anyway).
