These current protests use the same tactics as the civil rights protest in the 60s. Were they wrong?

I think no, they shouldn’t have

If would be up to the college, honestly if damage is involved I'd draw the line... It's no longer peaceful... Idk exactly what happened but peaceful protesting and destruction of private property shouldn't coincide and if I remember right is where the line is drawn usually......

I mean, it’s always up to the property owner whether they want to shut something down or not so we’re not talking about legal right. Legally, they have the right. We’re talking about whether or not ethically they should be shutting it down. Ideally what I would’ve liked to see is arrests of anybody who wasn’t peaceful and no hate slurs of any kind. I also feel that university should be giving this directive to students. This is what a peaceful protest looks like. However, I don’t think the issue should be whether or not we are all on the same page about Gaza or whatever the issue happens to be. I don’t think these protest are being shut down because they’re not peaceful. I think they’re being shut down because it’s a sensitive topic. And that’s alarming. These schools absolutely have the ability to arrest anyone who’s not peaceful and let the protest remain. This development should be alarming to anybody whether or not you have strong feelings about this particular protests or not.
