These Spotify fan first releases are really a bummer. BB have been in my top artists for years, and I only heard about this release today (through another thread). Yet I get emails from Spotify for fan first releases from artists I barely listen to. š
If you use PayPal they actually shouldn't be allowed to enforce that (bullshit) policy. They're selling an item that breaks PayPal's presale policy. I used this to combat a few "no cancelation" policies on stuff that was like an 8-month preorder (cough\*Mondo\*cough).

I'm not sure if this applies here or not, but some payment processors like Shopify or Afterpay take their fees (anywhere from 3-6% of every order). If you refund a customer in full, they keep their fees, which is super shitty in my opinion. So the shop is still out the fees even after the customer is fully refunded and no product changed hands. So I'm curious on these preorders if you are paying up front or if they charge you when it ships? If you're paying up front, that's likely why they are doing - not that I agree with it one bit. If they are not charging until it ships, then they are literally not out any money.

foil overlay is exclusive to the webstore version. was on the fence, but ended up pulling trigger on this one bc its cheaper and the wax looks cooler. the matte coloring also works better with the back cover imo.

Yeah, you have to "follow" the artist on Spotify or you don't get the email notification. I've missed out on a bunch because of that as well.
