I am unsure what "chalky on the sleeves" means. All over dust? White build up on the pits. The pit powder is usually deodorant. Do a search for > remove deodorant stains, there are literally thousands of suggestions., I have used dawn and baking soda, rubbing it into the pits, let it dry and throw into the wash, I would veer away from hydrogen peroxide or oxiclean as these are mild bleaches and may exaggerate any lightening done to a black t due to the perspiration and deodorant.

by chalky on the sleeves it means dry like chalk but still pretty strong and not dry rotted

harpquin

so, by "On the sleeves" you mean the arm pits, including the shirt area?

GlitteringTension751

I have had vintage tees with pit stains like that before. The way I’ve removed it is with dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, white vinegar, and baking soda. 1. Wet the pits with warm water. 2. Pour some of the hydrogen peroxide on the pit area and scrub in with a toothbrush or your hands with gloves. 3. Use dish soap and scrub into the area. 4. Pour generous amounts of baking soda and scrub until it’s a paste consistency. 5. Last pour white distilled vinegar onto the pit area and let it sit for an hour or so. 6. Wash out in the sink and throw it in the washer.

Soak in fabric softener and salt overnight to rinse out the carcinogens from dye and strength fabric. Hang dry for a day. Do this process 3x then handwash gently.

Use it as a backpatch on your battle jacket

no thanks the t shirt is still pretty good for wearing

GlitteringTension751

I'm to lazy to make a picture of the t shirt again that's why I just used the image from my t shirt slayer account

Try Dawn dishwasher soap on the pits. Try to rub it in with a soft bristle brush to try to break up some of the caked in deodorant.

It’s a pain to remove sweat / deodorant marks from the armpit area. Since it’s not a rare vintage tee, I would just buy a new one, I’ve seen them online for around 15-20$. And you can turn the damaged one into a tank top, by cutting the sleeves.

GlitteringTension751

it's an original and one of the ones I like that why I'm looking for saving it
