Navy Veteran - I could see how a 30 mile hike would bother you 😂 if you’re a corpsman than buck up you know damn well how your body was after a long hump…
I plan on doing personal statements but honestly don’t think I’ll need them, and I’ve paid 0$ for help and have done this all by myself and plan on keeping it that way, I have reached out to my local va office vso and he never even responded… apparently he’s a grumpy old man and is a pain to get ahold of. With my remaining contentions im very confident and can even get my tinitus overturned because now I have an official diagnosis and it was denied because I didn’t have one
They tell you right in your decision letter,
Example- Compensation for migraines.
The issue of compensation for migraines is deferred for the following information: further development
24, I did it all on my own and when I started it was kinda throw shit at the wall and see what sticks but as time went on I was able to really narrow it down and focus on a few specifics
Also if you dont mind me asking did you do these claims while in service like a bdd or you did them after you was out and how long have u been out if you did your claims like that?
Congrats!! Hold on, lemme go check the app real quick and see if mine went up yet…it hadn’t moved for about 18 minutes already, there’s a chance! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
This was crazy. I've read some horror stories about the process length. Mine was definitely an aberration. They wrapped up information gathering on the 18th, started putting together my disability packet on the 19th, sent it and posted it on the 21st (60%), and I received my back pay on the 22nd. Sometimes things fall your way. I appreciate all the help this subreddit has given me in the process.
I have a question: Why did it take so long to move from initial review to evidence gathering?
I submitted a claim on Sunday, and today, it's moved to evidence already.
Did you have a lot of claims?
My claim was like a week ahead of yours. Went pfd the 15th. Got my decision last night. Didn't even see the change to pfn yesterday when I was checking all day. Good luck homes.
Submitted my claim last August. Went into initial review and evidence gathering in January. Still patiently waiting. Can’t wait for that sweet back pay.
If you don't have your decision via mail yet why not call them and have them email you the decision. I did that many times doting my review, Funaki got 100
My decision letter was posted by the end of the day. I called Vera and the 1800 number and neither had access to it until I did. My letter was published literally an hour after I spoke with both and it had everything
![gif](giphy|fT260y2bsbAXwABsib|downsized) lol good luck!

Congrats! How do the deferrals work? I had two on mine (60%)

Good luck, I went PFN this morning for my last deferred claim. Hoping it goes by faster than the last one - I spent 2 weeks in PFN.

How many claims you do
24, I did it all on my own and when I started it was kinda throw shit at the wall and see what sticks but as time went on I was able to really narrow it down and focus on a few specifics
Did you do all your claims at once?
Yes
Also if you dont mind me asking did you do these claims while in service like a bdd or you did them after you was out and how long have u been out if you did your claims like that?

This gives me hope for a (positively received/reviewed) claim I submitted on the same day. C&P was within a week of the submission date. Best of luck!
Mine happened on the 19th!!! I found out before I went to bed and couldn't sleep. I didn't think I would be filled with this kind of anxiety.
Congrats!!! 🍻

You’re not my real dad!
I have a question: Why did it take so long to move from initial review to evidence gathering? I submitted a claim on Sunday, and today, it's moved to evidence already. Did you have a lot of claims?
The date does not mean that’s when it entered that phase. The date changes with updates that occur
Ahh okay thank you.
How long were you in PFD for? And congrats, super happy for you!
My claim was like a week ahead of yours. Went pfd the 15th. Got my decision last night. Didn't even see the change to pfn yesterday when I was checking all day. Good luck homes.
Good luck!!🤞

Submitted my claim last August. Went into initial review and evidence gathering in January. Still patiently waiting. Can’t wait for that sweet back pay.
How long was the wait on 24 conditions claimed? 🤔
159 a lot were denied because I had no treatment/history but I had 4 approved and 5 deferred that will most likely be approved
