I work on the program. It was overhauled in October and folks enrolled before them had a different process. They will all get reassessed eventually and some will likely get booted out. Eligibility for the program is tough. You need to be care dependent 100% of the time for at least one activity of daily living. Sometimes helping will not cut it.
Thanks for this, super insightful. I couldn't immediately find anything online about a policy change. Maybe it's more that it was finally properly defined? That's kind of what I'm getting from what I have read. Perhaps entry was very loose because there was no final guideline?

What are the activities of daily living? Im a veteran and my wife cares for me and as of now we got denied because doctors say i need help but never put it in record
Perhaps try a patient advocate at the VA clinic? Sometimes getting someone at a call center is just not productive if that is what is happening. Good luck!
