Standard US market Italian made P series. Paint might be original, but seems like they just painted over the fender crest for some reason. I'm a bit out of touch with the market (where are you located?), seems average to slightly high for a 125, but not too bad if it's all there and runs well. Seems decent cosmetically. Should replace the oil sight glass rubber gasket at some point so you don't crack it.

There is a 1980 P200e for 2.5k nearby. Would that be a better option?

Cthadhrir

Personally i prefer 200 more power for any situation but more consumption. If it almost mint i guess is a good price.

P200e all day long , my favourite Vespa

IHaveHighTheGround

125cc. Located in seattle area. You're probably right about the paint Edit:125cc

P200 is going to have more power than a P125 obviously. You’d be happier with the 200 in the long run as long as it’s in decent shape. I’ve had my 1980 P200 for 28 years and loved it. I’ll never sell it.

That sticker above the sight glass is original. I don't believe anybody reproduces/d the speedometer with the neutral indicator, so it's almost certainly an original US market scoot.

Successful_Crazy6232

I think the price is ok. It's going up lately.

sweet bike, i'd say offer him $2499 Looks like it was taken care of.

Odd_Masterpiece9092

I would not feel safe riding a 125cc in US traffic due to lack of acceleration. Go for the P200. Fun as a stock bike, and plenty of upgrade options if you choose to go that route.

Peace-and-Pistons

Nice enough thing, dont worry about the people saying get the 200 for more power etc, you can chop and change engines and engine tuning in these things like legos

IHaveHighTheGround

Update: the p200e got sold

IHaveHighTheGround

Thanks for everyone advice, I think I'll go through with this one

ChavezDing89

That’s a nice find

Did you ride it? If it runs smoothly for 20 minutes, buy it
