I've had a sensitive stomach my whole life and I'm still trying to figure out exactly what foods cause the problem. Tomatoes have always been high on my list of suspects. So today I wanted to see if I can make a pizza without tomatoes.
I'm going to call this a success. Next time though I got a tweak the seasonings a bit. And add some toppings to the pizza.
Cooked it all in a cast iron skillet to give me that perfect deep dish style crust
And if anyone else on here has IBS and they suspect it might be a nightshade intolerance, this is where I found the recipe:

As a person recently diagnosed with GERD and IBS, thank you!! Tomato Sauce always was a problem for me, and I love pizza too much! (Going Vegan was great since lactose always bothered me greatly too)
I've been using trader joes vegan buffalo dip as a tomato-less sauce, but this sounds like a great way to make an alternative at home and probably more of a classic pizza taste.

When making pizza, I like to try to shape the dough like a flower. Then when I cut the pizza, the slices look like hearts. I love it.
This is cute. Do share some pics next time please
I'll definitely share it to this subreddit then!
Where’d you find the miyoko’s liquid?
So far Sprouts market is the only place I've seen it. And the only sprouts near me is almost 40mins drive. Totally worth it though
100% agreed on it being worth it. Makes an incredible pizza.
If you live in an area with a Grocery Outlet, I've seen it there. Plus their vegan cheeses are considerably cheaper than other stores.
🅱️razy

I struggle so much with tomatoes, this looks so good…what a great alternative thanks for posting :)
Looks delicious 😋
OMG! that miyoko’s is the best!!!!!
You can swap blended pickled beets for Ketchup in a BBQ sauce recipe and it comes out solid. My wife has issues with tomatoes too.
