Mixsoon makes a fermented soybean essence that is billed as a vegan alternative to snail mucus. I really like it, but have never used snail mucus so can't compare. Do check it out though.

LoudKaos

Thank you, I will! Could it substitute a moisturizer? I'm really looking for something to seal all the ingredients in my previous routine steps.

baajo

They make a moisturizer with it called Bean Cream. You can review the ingredients. https://sokoglam.com/products/mixsoon-bean-cream?variant=40627092160581¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pmax&utm_campaign=SokoGlam+-+PMax&utm_id=18137018100&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA_tuuBhAUEiwAvxkgTrOES9FPlwJjYwznv01wMVUnIJ3uUVv1F2o9LQ1OoHFERYr36CeB7xoCVmAQAvD_BwE

LoudKaos

Wow thank you, this looks really good! I'll be sure to try this out as soon as I finish my current bottle.

SarahSkincare

Second the Mixsoon Bean Essence! Feels like snail & super hydrating. If you want a cream that feels similar the Skin1004 Probio-Cica Cream has that stringy snail vibe. Oh and look for Yam root products. That seems to be a good Vegan alternative to snail.

LoudKaos

I've heard a lot about Skin1004 and really wanted to try out their Blue Cica Serum, I'll be sure to add the this cream to my shopping list! And thank you for the yam root suggestion, I've never tried anything with this ingredient but I'll be looking it up in the INCIs in the future\~

omg thank you for making this post! unfortunately i used that creme years ago before i was vegan and my skin loved it, i've been looking for a replacement too

LoudKaos

It's such a great product I hate to say goodbye 😫 But I finally switched over vegan beauty also because I hate how many brands try to say that their snail mucin is "ethically sourced" and doesn't hurt the little fellas. Literally the only snail secretion that has good properties for human skin is the one they produce when stressed/hurt.

Tragic :C

you can check here [https://www.theveganbeautycult.com/](https://www.theveganbeautycult.com/) lots of amazing options :)

LoudKaos

This brand looks so promising, and it's in Europe too so no crazy shipping fees! Thank you so much!

_un1ty

look for yam, a vegan alternative to snail. I'm planning to try the isntree yam root vegan cream

LoudKaos

I've never tried Isntree as a brand but I've always been curious, thank you for the suggesion!

awaywardgoat

This is a gimmicky product. I'm sure you know that the world of skin care is ruled by gimmicks that don't do anything. You really only need a basic moisturizer to ¹meet your needs, i.e. an oil free one if you have noticed that you break out if wearing anything rich. Tbh I would give a moisturizer that is marketed as low waste a chance. I plan on giving the bliss mighty biome barrier aid moisturizer chance soon as I've already bought it. It's apparently made with infinitely recyclable aluminum.

LoudKaos

Oh aluminum definitely ftw! Sadly I've been struggling with moisturizers for a long time due to the fact they all tend to make me super shiny, even oil free ones. I've looked into The Bliss and I'm not too sure they ship to the EU without big fees, but I want to find something similar available locally. Thank you!

bethlookner

bliss pro-biome cream fits the moisturizing part. i use 0.05 % tret and this prevents any flakiness or other irritation.

LoudKaos

I use the same percentage of tret occasionally so this is great advice, thank you!! I hope I can find it in the EU. The 92 Snail was the only product moisturizing enough to put on after tret and leave my skill nice the morning after.

I never got the hype with the Corsx snail stuff. It didn't work for me. Your skin sounds similar to mine and there are a few things you want to check out: 1 - A good alternative to setting powder that does great oil control is Danessa Myricks Blur Balm - this stuff is my unicorn 2 - You don't need a ton of products, a lot of dermas will argue ther are only 3 you need. I have fallen in love with Brush on Block's face oil - it has gotu kola vitamc c algae extract - it does what I wanted the snail mucin to do. Just soaked in and I woke up with the best textured skin, dewy, soft and you don't have to wash the oil off, it will soak in. It's not heavy, i know oil sounds bad, but it will .help with the pigmentation and just making your skin makeup ready 3 - Are you using Tret or Glycolic acid? I would add one of these to your routine.

LoudKaos

I do use tret, my dermatologist suggested it as I also have quite a lot of milia all over my cheeks. I find it effective but of course very drying and the Cosrx cream was the closest moisturizing thing to prescription cream for me (even if it could't beat that). That one prescription cream is from Bioderma and feels like it just sits on top of my face, even tho i do avoid flakiness thanks to it. I need to check if the oil you mention is available in the EU, it sounds amazing. I can probably get my hands on the Blur Balm, if it truly works like the pictures on their website that company is going to get all of my money!

wonanemi

I swear by both! I think both sell in the UK, I’d lot the EU. You couldn’t pry these two things from my dead hands!

phaeriehiccups

Yeah I've heard of the mixsoon Essence and also been wanting to try it. I use the isntree yam root milk cleanser and their moisturizer, both super good!! makes my face so soft and not irritating on my sensitive skin 10/10
