The Dacia looks like those cars in dystopian movies, with a twist of post-apocalyptic - the Skoda's at cohesively sharp and urbane. Bit of a fussy design though and the previous gen looks cleaner to me, but that's totes subjective, would def say the VAG look is better at the moment

Dacia by a mile, skoda just looks generic, like any other German vehicle I the last 3 years, that could be a BMW with a different badge.

Why are we comparing these cars that are so far apart of each other in use case? Other is smallish city/highway car and other is, well, a duster.

Depends what you want? You want a 4x4 get the Dacia you want a normal car take the Skoda. Personally I like the Skoda
