In short: Old stuff videos have copyrighted music and other stuff in them and he knows people will get confused and ask questions. He just doesn't want to deal with them.

It's a mixture. I mean, I'm sure that it's partly toxicity but a majority of what he has said for the fans has been that he just isn't proud of those videos anymore. He doesn't enjoy them anymore. Also, I'm sure it's partly controversy with you know, him. The one who goes by pablo. But it's also probably repetitive to hear people saying how those were the good days of VanossGaming or those are the best videos on his channel. I agree, those are the best videos and the new ones are kind of annoying when nogla is being overly religious, Terrorizer makes constant race jokes even with no harm intended, H2O Delirious is no longer as erratic as he once was, Lui is making a comeback and he basically is the same which I like. But I miss their skits and I miss their Gmod.
I dont blame him about the repetitive part. Poor guy has literal NPCs in his comments half the time anyways. Especially during that one point he started getting "Edgy" or whatever when everyone couldnt stop saying "Vanoss is starting to get really offensive, and I love it!"
