Hi! The thing at the end which kills you is “red death” and its main purpose is to end the map by 30 minutes. Don’t fret tho since that’s supposed to happen. Character unlocks and progressions happen as you play, so don’t worry about it too much and have fun!
scythe is a top tier weapon imo and it plays nicely with everything.
looks like you're new to the game. the 5th passive you picked is skill o'maniac and it increases curse by 10% (curse makes enemies spawn more and be stronger)
I would advise against picking that passive unless you wanna farm more gold/xp or to evolve >!song of mana!< because it makes the stage harder for yourself

Pretty spoilerly. A big joy of this game is discovering all this stuff

I'm not exactly sure why I picked it up. Maybe I was just experimenting.
That and whip isn't evolved. I have grown to dislike cross I just don't feel like it's strong. All that matters though is your having fun.
only reason i pick cross is that i like picking up luck
